aw super cute!!! the halloween decoration toys at all my local pet stores sold out so quickly but hopefully I can get some Christmas ones early so I can decorate my girls' tank for Christmas!! I love your setup!!!!!!! also I'm curious...which kind of wood shavings do you use? I use soft paper bedding in my enclosure but I was wondering if wood shavings are better for gerbils? I have heard mixed reviews cause some people say its causes respiratory problems but I have also heard many people say it's the best to use wood shavings because it is the most like their natural environment! I'm curious your input cause I was thinking of putting half bedding-half aspen wood shavings in my enclosure
Hey ! Yeah they decorations can sell out fast as stores only get limited Stock. I usually buy stuff a month before to make sure I get it. I plan on buying some Christmas decorations soon too :D . As for substrate, I use aspen, paper and hay. I have many tank cleaning videos on my channel you can view, and this one i mention using aspen as well. It works great and is 100% safe.
OK I’m the current owner of two gerbils both girls. They are currently in a 20 gallon tank long. I know it’s too small I’ve known this for a while so I was looking into getting a tank top but the weight is way too long. Now that I know what size the I’m very nervous Because their bedding constantly covers of the water bottle and I’m so worried they’re going to dehydrate. I don’t mind about money I got He struggles to be part of my family. I’m just wondering if you have any temporary solutions before I get the 40 gallon. Also any more help we could offer to me would be amazing
Upgrading your gerbils can definitely be a process, I'm glad the 40 gallon is your end goal. I do have a video on different ways to setup your gerbil tank, I'll link it here ( ruclips.net/video/l7mw4bFDhFM/видео.html ). You basically have to divide the area so that bedding cannot pile up under the nozzle.
So pretty and enriching! I wouldnt be supprised if the gerbils completely ”re-decorated” it after one day i know mine would 😂
Happy haloween!
Haha you are totally right about re decorating. All the easy to chew toys were gone in a day :)
Happy Halloween 🎃
I hope to have a set up that enriching one day
I LOVE THIS
Thank you ! 🎃
Such a fun setup, I bet those willow balls lasted all of 10 minutes 😅
