I'm from Michigan and it's still a dream. We had one of our first real storms, last night, after a pretty mild start to winter. It was like a snow globe.
Some of the shorts I come across on RUclips make me wonder how these people aren't working with Disney, or DreamWorks, or creating something even bigger. The quality is amazing. Better than most animated movies honestly.
Blender is a non-profit software developer, responsible for the free and open source program used to produce this short, in fact it is their own in-house studio that produced it, as they have a number of other animated shorts, that pretty much act as demo reels showcasing major updates, over the past 16 years. Their most recent short film was in fact directed by a story artist and animator from Pixar, whose career stretches all the way back to the original Toy Story when the studio only had a dozen animators. So they're designed to show off what anybody can do, but it's not necessarily "anybody" who makes them.

Marvelous. I really liked the fact that spring is conceived as the magical rebirth of nature. And that it was a young teenager who guided winter to its end so that every seed and plant could receive the light that would allow them arise and carpet the soil of Mother Earth with a thousand shades of colors
I don't often pay attention to the music scored in movies. But from the moment this began, I have been captivated by the sounds. Now, I look forward to really honing on on the scores of my favorite projects. This is amazing work, and I look forward to hearing more of your work!

@J P actually, I am legally blind, but I use these things called glasses, that help me see almost 100%... I could see the animation perfectly fine, thank you very much! "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", after all. Have you ever tried being something other than pestemistic? It makes life so much easier. 😌
