I think a good moral is, you can lose your beautiful tea set, lose your home, but as long as you have a friendship, you haven’t lost a thing. Harder to replace a friendship than material thing that comes and goes. Glad he found friends in the goats. In 2010 I lost practically everything. Only two things kept me going and fighting to rebuild. My now late dog and cat. We went through hard times together and they took it better than I did. I never would’ve made it without them.

Actually, we don't know the back story of the ogre. Yes, he appears to be lonely and probably is. Perhaps, however, his tea ritual is a way to remember someone close who is no longer there. And the tea services might have been things they acquired or collected together. Yes, attachment to things is questionable, but sometimes these things are simply representative of attachments to others. What the kid did was wrong, up to the point at which it presented the broken tea service to the ogre. I'm not sure the kid saved the ogre's life because the house might have not fallen down before the kid's actions did so much damage. At the end, maybe the ogre was making the best of a bad situation rather than dwell on all he had just lost. It is a lovely bit of animation and I did enjoy it very much.
The whole idea of conquering giants with love is a wonderful way to solve an ancient problem. Both parties win. This is the kind of stuff children need to hear. Keep up the good work. We may all "win" someday.

The giant was not bad, he was just lonely so he tried to find a reason in his belongings giving them much importance in order to get distracted from the real problem and, in time, he ended to believe for real that his stuff was the only thing that matters being hyperprotective to it. The little goat destroyed his illusion giving him pain but gave him a new reason by friendship and humanity.

One who they could interact with rather then the only company they'd had before; lifeless china. Also I find it so stupid people are complaining the goat didn't get punishment. Yes, he messed up, but at the end he tried to reconcile and apologize. And he nor his mom had to let the ogre come with them. Especially since the ogre did try to, oh idk, EAT HIM, multiple times throughout that simply for him breaking a window and a bit of the china. Being punished does not make you a better person; learning from your actions makes you a better person and you shouldn't need to be punished to learn this. Punishment without learning anything is literally pointless.
Though we usually deny it but underneath the cloak of toughness and sometimes, meanness that we often wear is a fragile heart yearning for affection, love and relationship.
☕ I would be contend with someone, who didn't break the antique tea cups and saucers. Eggshell, hand painted, beauty is literally irreplaceable, unlike any brute. I sympathize entirely with this ogre. I am very fond of fine china and glassware, but for years I have lived with people who have no appreciation for such delicate things, and no respect for other people's property. One of them put a creamware soup tureen ornamented with gold leaf in the microwave....the dish is still untouched, but the microwave exploded!
Oh, metallic crap causes electrical sparking fire blowing it up ruining the appliance. Living with other people is what I don't want to have to do. I hope to never be begging for a room in a strangers house off of Craigslist out of no affordable housing and a lack of units for this number of people we have in America today.
Do not get attached to the wealth and money too much in your life .As these are temporary and will leave you lonely in your life at some point. Instead keep closer those who are kinder to you . They will stand beside you even you are left with nothing in this world 😎
