“The big problem with de-cartoonifying "The Lion King" is that I don't see a story about a mighty king and his kingdom, I see a dumb animal and the patch of grass he shits on”

This.
Love Todd in the Shadows
I don't even know who 'Todd in the Shadows' is, and I already know he's telling the truth here.

First mistake.
@@nehemiahpouncey3607 It jumps between past and present, not a mistake seeing them there.
I look at this and I’m thinking why couldn’t we get this story of Mufasa and Scar’s childhood years ago when Disney was putting out their direct to video/dvd sequels? Ya know, when 2D animated movies were a priority at the time.
They were worth as 20-picture books, according to Disney.
Their focus was really misguided imo cuz I directly asked for this over a decade ago lol. Like I was really passionate about this backstory for a long time and they completely ignored me and now we have this? It’s insane
That’s what the new Trandformers movie is giving us. The back story before Optimus and Megatron came about.
@@nailinthefashion They have stolen your idea.
@@QuietStorm3007 it was never mine in the first place, I didn’t create the Lion King just riffed off of what was established. We should have had a focus on Scar as the protagonist anti hero who becomes corrupted, an antagonistic but justified Mufasa, with mysticism woven in to imply that good vs evil is a cycle and Mufasa would need to pass his burden of justice on to an unwilling son just as he had to accept the responsibility of king despite wanting nothing more than to be happy with his wife.
I don’t have such a big ego as to need to be the one to present all that, it’s just what we deserve after discovering that world
The lion king (1994) is the first movie I have memory of watching. Literally had to be like 3/4 years old??
And I can vividly remember holding the physical vhs in my hand and being amazed and then putting it in the vhs player and watching it. The death scene fucked me up and it was my first time learning about what death was
This movie really holds a special place in my heart 😭❤️🔥✊🏽🥲
Same For Me & The Lion King is One Of The Animated Disney Movies From The 90's & it Still Holds Special To My heart
It is a never ending circle. We get older and hate this stuff but our kids want to see it. When our kids get older they hate the remakes/prequels but their children will want to watch.
You hit this spot on. Keep up the excellent work!!
I would've been way more excited if they just made it full animated movie instead of being a photorealistic live action movie
Agreed! The expressiveness is meant for animation
Ikr I would’ve been all for a “Lion King 3: A Tale of Two Brothers” like they used to make fake trailers for when I was a kid
Exactly
I say with these kinds of movies if you’re gonna do “live action” with talking cgi animals than go all in on it and make the characters more expressive. You could argue well sure but it would still look weird and uncanny. One example I could best point to is Happy Feet which is a fully animated film with almost photorealistic animals with human expressions. Maybe that would’ve helped. Hell, even with the live action Jungle Book those animals had more emotion than any character in the 2019 Lion King.
It's best to just leave it alone
I just remembered that a lot of people who worked on Lion King remake later worked on the Prehistoric Planet dinosaur documentary. The cgi animals looked so much more believable there than in 2019 remake.
Because you can get away with the details when it’s creatures that no longer exist to reference against. We can mostly instantly tell when lions and monkeys, etc. are not ‘real’ like this, so it takes away a little believability.
I worked with a very talented animator who ended up working on the 2019 Lion King Movie. I have little doubt they hired AAA talent. Definitely don't blame the animators.
@@names_are_useless There's no way I'm gonna blame the animators for the way the Lion King remake looks the way it does. If I were to blame anyone, it would be higher up in the film's food chain. The director, producers, executives, etc.
Again, in the 2019 remake, just because you don't see emotions in the face, doesn't they don't show emotions. It's communicated differently, through their movements, mannerisms, and body languages. The CG looks better in this prequel. There's nothing we can do about the remake, Favreau did his best what he had. And we have to understand that. It has to be seen from a different perspective of the beauty of wildlife.
Dinosaurs are different because we don't completely have the accuracy of what they looked like in the flesh.
They couldn’t let the poor Lion RIP. That mouse is brutal 😂
Just to remind everyone, Korey Coleman claim that the movie could be really good because the director is black. Yeah, so not R@cist.8
Got simbas daddy walking the corner
My wife dragging me to that remake was one of the worst experiences of my life.
Are you still together after that experience?
@@COSun25 Not really.
@@CNTconnoisseurdivorce that floozy and get a woman who don't like new Disney. Someone who ain't into microwaved mass market bullshit
I was really disappointed. Lion King was one of my favorite movies as a kid. The cg remake was so lacking in personality by comparison and I think OZ is right. It's trying to be too photorealistic to be emotive and what makes the original lion king work is that that characters are cartoonish and thus able to emote like humans without it looking weird.
@@Dartanyoogles That is correct.
I wish they stylized them, to the point where they can emote more. Narina & Guardians of Ga'Hoole were able to strike that balance of realistic yet emotive.
I'm gonna say it, Snyder should've been the creative head over Disney instead of DC😅
Yooo I was thinking about guardians of Ga'Hoole too and did with the first one CG lion king as well... Even though Ga'Hoole is more realistically styled the characters designs were so cuteexpressive and had personality. Here in these CG remakes they all just look like really generic feral animals
Can' wait for the Zazu-Spinoff. They really need to flesh out his character and provide a tragic backstory.
😂
You laugh but rafiki movie is definitely coming 😂
😂
If baby Mufasa sounds like James Earl Jones I might go watch it
James Earl Jones playing young Mufasa and Jeremy Irons playing young Scar. Those would be the most theatric sound kids ever. 😅
That doesn’t make sense
@@davidvance6768that's why it would be hilarious 🤣
@@davidvance6768 that's the joke
Damn I just cackled loud af. Imagining a lion cub with James Earl Jones 's voice 😂😂😂😂😂
Richard Whittaker, a movie critic for the Austin Chronicle had this to say about The Lion King (2019):
“Is the CGI incredible? Undoubtedly. The lions look like lions, the hyenas look like hyenas, the grubs that get scarfed down look like grubs. But at the same time, the film makes a clear argument for cubism - in that, just because an artist creates something that looks real, that doesn't make it more engaging. The Lion King keeps the story, but in replacing the flexibility of the hand-drawn animation with hyper-photorealistic depictions of animals, they lose all ability to emote”
this is just a blue ivy acting vehicle like Pursuit of Happyness was for Jaden.
Or how After Earth was also for Jaden.
Maybe Blue Ivy's voice-over acting will be better than her mother's
Wasn't Jaden actually good in Pursuit of Happiness?
@@thehacker4012 I mean he was small then and didn't have to do much but yeah he was good.

Honestly I miss the hand drawn, 2d animation
How can you "miss" something that never went away?
A hand drawn 2d animated movie just won an Oscar for best animated film or it doesn't matter because it wasn't made here?
@@marshallw1902 you can miss something simply if it’s not as present anymore or done with the same care.
@@marshallw1902pretty sure he’s talking about mostly hand drawn Disney movies. Which isn’t a thing anymore.
Check out Studio Ghibili’s movies.
@@marshallw1902 also question, why are you so butt hurt over my comment? I didn’t see the last portion but it has nothing to about where it’s made. I’m simply to disneys style from Snow White or Alice in wonderland. Don’t be a troll behind a screen, you can be a decent person in conversations of differing opinions
The fact that this movie is Barry Jenkins' follow up to his previous movies such as Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk is absolutely crazy tbh
I guess he gotta pay the bills 🤷🏿♂️
This is a major downgrade for him. But get that bag, I guess…
Gotta get at least one big payday. Now he can eat well as he does those different types of projects. I don’t begrudge him
Hey it’s what he wants.
Gotta get the bag.
At least the animals are a bit more expressive than they were in the Lion King 2019 remake. I'll give the movie that.
I’m happy they didn’t remake lion king 2. Because even with its flaw I liked Kovu’s character.
@@bearerofbadnews1375 Well, Kiara is still going to be in this movie. That's who Beyonce's daughter is voicing.
That’s what makes me interested. I hated the 2019 remake largely because of the lack of expressions.
That's a sad statement.
It's amazing how you got all of that from just a teaser .
"Temu and puma" 😆
Thanks for covering this. This way I don't have to watch the trailer. Don't want to give it a view and/or a dislike.
There was a video edit of the Two Fish throwing tomatoes at Squidward with the background sound "That shit is fucking Trash get FUCK off the air wave" in response to the Mufasa Teaser Trailer on Twitter (X) Hilarious asf man 😂
I genuinely hope that Barry Jenkins will put all that money he’s clearly making on this into his next ORIGINAL project.
I’m sure he will
8:54 - Korey with THE BEST Lin Manuel Miranda impression 👏
Will Beyonce’s voice acting be better this time is the real question
doubtful lol
I believe that the answer to that question is a resounding _NO_
She just isn’t a very good actor and gets cast because she has a lot of fans. To be honest I think her singing isn’t great either because she over singing in most of her sons without the control. Having a powerful voice is one thing, but she needs to learn to be more subtle. Jennifer Hudson is far better actor and singer than Beyonce.
@@Delboy0 100% I never even thought she was the best singer in Destiny's Child. Kelly is a better singer, but Beyonce had the look and she's marketable. Colorism in a nutshell.
Mmm I didn’t mind her voice acting in the last one.
I guess I should be happy this isn’t a remake of lion king 2 simbas pride.
Don’t give them ideas! Delete this comment!
It is but they are being slick about it. Blue Ivy is voicing Kiara, Simba daughter. This movie isn't all about Mufasa, it will just touch on his backstory throughout the film. Simba is the king in this movie.
They can remake that bullshit
We'll also have Simba's son Kion from 'The Lion Guard' TV series in this film.
That was pretty bad lol
That's so true though. For a company that loves to cash in on our nostalgia, you'd think they do something smart with it like go back to 2D. That'd be awesome! ...as long as the writing is still there of course.
I think I’m okay with the movie not exactly due to us seeing how Mufasa becomes great but seeing how scar becomes messed up
I fully agree the contrast between them will make this movie interesting
I def groaned at the delayed reveal card of Beyonce and Blue Ivys casting
They lost me with Beyonce and her daughter being attached I hated Beyonce voice in the 2019 movie.
Me Too
This may be financially successful but not for the right reasons. One thing that Disney didn't count on is that this is going to premiere around the same time as Sonic the Hedgehog 3. I think it's safe to say that that film is going to, pun intended, run circles around it.
How is that safe to say when sonic 2 made 400 mill and the last Lion King made 1.7 bill.
@@C-Bee Money doesn't always equate to success. It may have made less than the Lion King remake but it's still one of the highest grossing movies ever made. But it had a good reason. Because the Sonic movies, unlike any Disney live-action remake, mostly pays homage and respect to it's source material. And the characters are more appealing to watch. Why watch bland photorealistic lions when highly expressive and entertaining hedgehogs are right there?
There's no world where Sonic 3 makes more money than the follow-up to the highest grossing animated film. If anything, it should switch release dates
lol ok👍
Unless Sonic decides to change release dates.
Im a fan. I have the soundtrack. Went to the Broadway show, saw the live action. I must see this, and will take my nana to this!
I love this. This is for me. I’m excited. My birthday gift.
everything the light touches is our kingdom
I hope Sonic The Hedgehog 3 curbstomps this at the box office
Let’s be real, Mufasa has been dead for over 30 years. We all know the story, we know what happened. From a storytelling standpoint, this prequel is redundant.
It’s time to let him go. 🦁
No we dont, who was King before him, why did Scar come to hate him, plenty of backstory to tell and dive into, its not redundant
Yooo, Korey’s mom sounds just like mine, lol.
She ALSO somehow gets confused between CGI and hand-drawn animation. 😂
“I know what I saw!” 😂
In the era of _Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse_ and _Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem_ you'd think Disney would try to create something artistically transcendent too.... but no, they just keep cranking out the same tired wack sh!t.
I agree
They had a chance to do the hybrid animation like Spider-Verse and Mutant Mayhem with Wish, but it looked so bland. Hell, that Paperman short they made a decade ago looked more 2D by comparison.
Did you watch Wish? No? Then you are part of the problem
I did i think it was desprate@@Jonathanest90s
I legit want to see what “live action” Kovu would look like.
I predict an incoming adaptation of the direct to video sequel.
I agree with it should have being animated. Its funny cause the 3 sequels to the 1994 film were all animated. Lion King 2.....Lion King 1/3rd......and the most recent one was Lion King Return of the Roar on Disney Plus...Which actually went deeper into Scars past and the reason he hated Mufasa. This year marks the 30th anniversay as well, what a missed oppertunity
This teaser just serves to represent how idealistically bankrupt Disney has become. They can only fall back on the characters that they have already used and can't even come up with a way with using them well. Why can't they make a new House of Mouse movie where Mickey has to get all the Disney characters together to do battle against the Disney villains who want to take over the Disney company to rewrite their stories to their liking? It could be a mix of the original Mickey's House of Villains and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, with a mix of animation and live action, with the characters meeting some of their real-life actors and making them stronger, while pointing out the flaws in both.
When I saw this trailer, I was saying in my mind this is pointless. Hearing you guys views on this was englighting, because Disney could have done a comeback to 2d I would for sure run to the theatres for that, but this is not worth anything. Disney right now is in another dark age. Money is the mouses god.
Id be interested in a gaston origin story
21:03 no they should have done that. That would have been cool. Basically Aladdin in the style of Rock N Rolla or the gentlemen. I wish they'd let Guy Ritchie go crazy with this movie. You can tell that mouse was looking over his shoulder.
After his latest bombs, I'm not giving Guy any film.
@@COSun25 wasn't aware you were a film producer.
@@COSun25 also his films are still good. Not his fault they bombed.
Disney already has themselves doomed for this movie to fail, and one of the obvious reasons why is because they plan to release it on the same day that Sonic 3 will be released theatrically. Paramount said that they are taking a lot of inspiration from Sonic Adventure 2 while making that movie, it has been revealed that the celebrity actor Keanu Reeves will be voicing Shadow the hedgehog in it, that studio this time listened to the fans about the lack of game songs in the previous installments resulting in a confirmation from the musician who wrote SA2's banger theme song that he signed a deal for Paramount to have the rights to it, so the highly wanted and highly popular Live & learn song will be playing in that movie. There's already soo much hype for that videogame adaption movie and no one asked for this Mufasa cash-grab one, so it likely won't make more money at the box office and get more positive public opinions after it's release than Sonic 3 will.
I don't think Disney could go back to 2D on the level of the 1994 movie if they wanted to. They dismantled their 2D animation studio. That generational knowledge of animation.. that team they'd built for that purpose.. it's all gone. That kind of animation is now a lost art form.
Exactly. 2d animation is so niche at this point, the heavy hitters in the industry have long retired or died. And there was no industry for them to pass along their knowledge
Yessss! People don’t get this. And largely the audience has itself to blame. Disney did a last call in Princess and the Frog to see if people would still show up for a 2D movie and no one went to see it. The next year Tangled came out and did over 500 mill that told Disney everything they needed to know about if they should keep doing 2d movies. Now people want them to snap their fingers and just start making 2d classics again as if all those animators are still young.
@@C-Bee it can also be that "Rose-tinted nostalgia" people tend to forget for 2-D animation. The reality is, it's the consumer/audience that have to show up in order to influence the companies for more 2-D/hand-drawn films.
Disagree that 2d animation is forgotten art (see anime)
@@newgrant nobody said 2-D animation is forgotten, it's just not as common in a theatrical release. Yes Anime exists but we're more so talking about western animation.
Imagine how much better this would've went over if it was just 2D animated
5:08 When I was younger, I was genuinely interested in the backstory of Mufasa and Scar, specifically how Scar got his scar and became evil (apparently there was a novel in 1994 that told that story but Lion King 2 retconned it). The dynamic between Mufasa, Taka, Ahadi, and Uru could have been interesting. But now it seems he's not even a prince. Do Ahadi and Uru even exist in this movie? Scar was also noticably absent from the trailer.
The problem with live action of animation movies is that the realism takes out all the heart and fantasy of the original.
As long as they get some of the most famous people in the world to do the voices again, it will definitely make money. No need for emotion or soul.
I love that people would rather watch and anticipate Sonic 3 over this 2019 prequel if anything Kraven Is being sent out to die lol.
With Kraven coming out before Sonic 3 and Mufasa, the film only has a week to make bank before the money flow runs dry.
Yeah, no matter what happens in the box office this holiday season, Kraven definitely doesn't stand a chance.
Because Sonic 3 looks like it will actually be really good unlike this waste of time of a movie.
All three look like shit.
They probably felt obligated because James Earl Jones (the original voice actor for Mufasa) is still alive.
Kimba The White Lion from Japan was first! Disney and the "Lying" King LOL!🦁🤔👑🎥
How about a Scar backstory? I think that’d be more interesting
This is that
Scar is legendary
Never saw the Lion King DTV sequels but it's amazing how even those seem fresh in comparison. A Pixar style CGI animated take sounds like an interesting idea and a more logical progression for the series.
Fooled me once shame on you.
Fooled me twice shame on you.😂
They tryna get them beyonce fans .. nobody care bout this
Overrated
20:21 good point about some of the other Disney remakes having the directors stamp on it locate Tim burton Alice in wonderland that felt like Tim burton movie something with Cinderella 2015 that feels Kenneth Branagh movie and even the Jungle book 2016 that feel like Jon favreau movie none of these other remakes of felt like they had the directors stamp of approval it just felt like studio made movies
This was definitely made for money by a committee.
If anyone actually WATCHED the animated version or watched the Lion Guard, they'd know this movie is bullshit. Mufasa and Scar's backstory was already explored, not in full detail yet enough to satisfy audience curiosity.
Nowwwww that's wtf they should've made a movie tbh the plot was THICK
Big Lion King fan here. To answer your question, Korey, Disney would have to pay me to watch this 😂
The only thing i disagree with is people not wanting a Mufasa story…WE ABSOLUTELY WANTED THAT…but without it being 2d animated ruins it for me…it would have completely broke the bank with generations of families coming together to feel some of that 1994 magic that the first film gave…they are going to waste that opportunity with this JUNK!
PREACH KOREY
WE DON'T WANT OR NEEDED THIS !
I always wondered what they would do the day they remake every old film and this answers it they'll just do prequels or spin-offs of the remake
They'll never go bac,k to 2d because those animators have a strong union.
The Gato King 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Scar: "I've enjoyed the chase, gato. However, I think we have reached the end now you and I. Now.. BE GONE!"
(let's go of Mufasa)
Tim Rice was the main song writer for the Lion King.
The last movie's soundtrack was a big hit for Disney and Beyonce - they are hoping for the same again; especially if the movie doesn't sell. Blue Ivy had a hit song on that album; they are hoping for the same again.
Transformers one vibes
I love hearing about your mom, Korey. She sounds like she’s funny. “ I know what I saw!” Lol
I lost my mom about 3 years ago.to COVID. Great post. Yeah so think there needs to be more 2D animation movies coming out. Realistic animation is overrated.
"It's like someone stubbed their toe"
Oz, I'm shamelessly going to steal that. Whenever I stubb my toe or kick something I didn't mean to, I'm going to scream the Lion King song.
To anyone who remembers spill audio, Korey did a short animation of pimp Mickey asking Aslan from Narnia "yo Aslan you owe me twenty million dollers", "sorry Mickey I don't have it" and Mickey ends up bitch slapping Aslan saying *bitch get my money" "meow" Korey on that prophet vibe😅 just switch the lions.
It seems parents of a certain age find it hard to distinguish.... I remember Hugh Grant talking on The Graham Norton Show about his role in Paddington 2. He spoke of his dad watching it & asking whether it was a "real bear". Lmao
Mufasa is gonna have a rap battle sequence
Wait until this movie get destroy by sonic movie 3 at the box office...
No doubt about that, when his third movie gets released in theaters, Disney will get totally humiliated by that cool speedy blue hedgehog who debuted in a 2D side scrolling videogame which was released in 1991, Lol.
@@Hedgie3 yeah especially video game movies are becoming as successful as comic book films
Oh heck yeah, and Jim Carrey has been confirmed to return as Robotnik. It's done.
@@rommix0 It also got revealed at CinemaCon that he will be wearing a fat Eggman suit in Sonic 3, so this time Jim Carrey's body size will be more game appropriate on screen, which is exciting especially since he said that he's been wanting to do that ever since he got cast in as Robotnik for the first Sonic movie!
Wild Horses couldn't drag me into the theater to see this drek.
I'll say this, the only reason this is not "Scar's story", with Disney going on with villains revisions (Malificent & Cruella) is he was way too nasty to fix.
Scar would have been good, but he's no nastier than the others
That, and with his actions and death in the ‘19 film, it’d be incredibly moot, anyway.
Bob Iger really was blowing smoke when he said he wouldn't greenlight any sequels prequels or remakes unless they offered something special:p I'm looking forward to Zootopia 2 but the rest just seem ridiculous 😂
Unfortunately with hate watching, youtube reviews, and pure curiosity, it will still make billions. Regardless of reviews and scores, as long as we paid to see it, that's the goal
Cinderella was the only live action remake that was good
But they lack actual memorability, any other movie that made billions was memorable in many ways and forms, the ones Disney are making with their stuff (excluding Marvel, star wars) don't have any staying power with the masses, because in 15 years who's gonna remember and let alone talk about the LA Disney movies? Any discussion around them is gonna be the originals.
That last Cinderella was the worst trash they ever put out
And 20-30 yr old moms to distract their kids
I’ll be honest ….i didn’t like the 2019 remake but this actually looks interesting and “original”….AND it’s from an academy award winning director who is a huge lion king fan 🤷🏾♂️ ALSO 2D animation hasn’t been financially successful after the Disney renaissance
This movie is going to pay horrifically for the 2019 Lion King’s sins regardless of quality and I’m honestly all for it, let it die.

First mistake.
If Frozon was 2D animated with the same story, characters, and songs, you know, the checklists that the movie a modern icon, I gauran damn tee you its success would make no difference.
Yeah, some of this actually has me intrigued. The fact that Academy Award winning director Barry Jenkins is making a sequel to The Lion King that kinda follows The Godfather II’s framework sounds cool. If it was animated I’d 100% in
15:30 The single reason the live action Little Mermaid failed. It wasn't the CGI animals. Race swapping Ariel doomed the movie long before its opening weekend. Simba's story is Mufasa's story. The son becomes the father, the father becomes the son. The Lion King is the tale of a young lion cub who overcomes adversity and takes his place as king of the jungle. We already saw this tale twice. First in 1994 and again in 2019. Aside from seeing how Scar became the villain, there isn't anything new this 2024 prequel can show us. At the end of the day, it is the 2019 remake repackaged for 2024. I agree that there was a huge, missed opportunity to make this a 2D animated prequel to the 1994 classic. People would have been more excited for that. The direct to video sequels were done in below feature film standard animation. A full theatrical release quality 1994 Lion King prequel might have given birth to the resurgence of 2D animation. It could have been the true celebration of Disney's 100th anniversary.
The sad thing is this 2024 prequel is probably going to make enough money to justify more unnecessary CGI Lion King installments.
I originally said to a friend of mine cause he asked me... What do you think of this prequel? I said this would probably be better in 2D animation...thank you Korey! Bravo thinking on the same line! 😄 👏
I miss 2d so very much.😢
So do everyone...so do everyone wants 2D to come back to animation. We are all tired of the same old 3d shit, and CGI that it no longer holds art and masterpieces anymore. Where the original Lion King, The Prince of Egypt, and even Spirit Stallion of the Cimrraron still holds the top spots for 2D animation and are deemed as timeless masterpieces in animation.
Even Netflix's animated show Arcane League of Legends is gaining more popularity because of the comeback of bringing 2D back. I'm still shocked and blown away by how they did 9 episodes of season 1 with the animation style choice they did. My god, it was a breath of fresh air to see 2D textures on the 3d characters, and the environment and hand-drawn 2D actions in the fight scenes, steam and fire animations, and the firing of bullets that wasn't done in 3D for once. It was all hand-drawn 2D. I am more hyped for Netflix to drop season 2 of Arcane League of Legends by Riot Games in November over Mufasa.
My favorite part is when they sing 🎶Hemma yamma hemm Barack Obama, Hemma yamma hemm Barack Obama🎶
After looking at the trailer and hearing what this movie is about. Scar was in the right for killing Mufasa. The man stole his birthright.
Disney always makes sequels. There are 4 toy storys. Everyone seemed happy about that. Now a teaser trailer comes out for Lion King, and the internet explodes like this is new.
Stop casting Beyonce
This was the worst part about the remake. They cut the most important part, when Rafiki teaches Simba a lesson, for a fucking Beyonce music-video.
Disney, this movie ain’t that magical in celebrating the Lion King’s 30th Anniversary. It’s not giving us the roar but a bore.
Hell Nah! No one was asking for a Mufasa prequel
Prequels rarely work. I'd say they NEVER work, but i was taught their is not such thing as never. So maybe one day there will be a good prequel.
We’ll finally find out how Scar got his scar
Im exhausted with the lin manuel Miranda shtick
I wasn't impressed with his stuff to begin with. His soundtrack for Encanto sucked. His music is the reason I turned that movie off not even 10 minutes in.
If they at least made the animals emote this time I'm in.
Lin Manuel is probably the only point of interest for me at the very least. Interest in what original music he has to offer. With you guys on making this story a 2D cartoon. That would've conjured up major interest.
