Hello friend, Really enjoyed your video on this model! I've been eyeing it for a long time haha. @@JohnsWoodenShips many Thanks Friend😍have a nice weekend, and a pat to Buddy of course!
hi, I bought an old ship whose construction boards are very old and very stiff, it feels like they are about to crack, how can I return them to flexibility for construction?
Hi Dimitri, use water and if you can warm water to soak the boards a bit before use.
@@JohnsWoodenShips what if you soak it in linseed oil?
Water will dry and won't affect the gluing, the oil won't dry and you might experience problems with the gluing.
Tout est superbe ...
Thank you again my friend!!!
And classical music that is proper and gentlemen music
I am glad that you like it!!!
Do all the metal parts and fittings come with this kit or are those "add on's|" that you have to buy. ?
Everything comes with the kit.
Morning John. Say hi to your dogs for me. You copper plated the HMS Victory What tools did you use to the cut the plates. How much were they and from who?
Hi Dennis, watch the videos of the copper plating, you will get all your answers.
Hello friend, Really enjoyed your video on this model! I've been eyeing it for a long time haha. I do have one question though, hopefully it isn't too silly but I'm seriously at such a loss right now lol, what on earth are those tacks you used with the yellow heads at 3:40 in the video? I have searched and searched and cannot find these at all. Do they have a specific name? I'm coming up on the planking for my ship now and I'd love to have some of these to help the journey. Thanks for uploading! :D
Hi Laura! I am glad that you liked it! These are modeling pins and i have bought them from Amazon over 10 years ago. try to do a Google search using these sentence : Graupner 717 - Stoßnadeln
@@JohnsWoodenShips thank you tremendously! I’ll search for them asap. :) thank you again! And when I get my Beagle, I’ll be referencing your video for sure lol
