My friend was married to a psychiatrist and I was shocked to find out that he had been physically abusive to her. She was a doctor, also, and others at the hospital started noticing her bruises, commented on them, and she finally left him. I was in total shock, because I was under the impression that you could totally trust a psychiatrist. But, he is just a man with a problem and I learned that you never give your total trust to anyone.
I read somewhere psychiatrists and doctors have the highest suicidality rates as well as the shortest live spans..... 🤔 Neither profession inspires me trust
For years I've been convinced that a large percentage of ppl who go into psychiatry as a profession are hoping to find out what's wrong with THEMSELVES. Beware!
The first story was so bad. He looked so young. It was beyond inappropriate what his cousin, his psychiatrist did to him. And yes, that one photo was bad. If I didn’t know the details, I would have thought that was her partner.
Psychiatrists and psychologists with the ability to prescribe powerful medications , and even if they don't weild tremendous power over their patients. Shop around, do background checks and everything you can to make sure you are in excellent hands. Especially as patient to psychiatrist transfers can very easily take place. I believe this man.
I am a professor of clinical psychologist trained in mental hospitals when we used to hospitalize seriously mentally ill patients. Psychologists, there are different types, but NONE are licensed to prescribe prescription medication. We partner with psychiatrists who DO or we refer patients to pschiarists who are physicians so licensed by states to practice and prescribe.
I was in an addiction treatment program for people with some form of professional licensure. (It was during covid, so it was on zoom.) I was in there with a psychiatrist who was so bad off she was unable to care for herself, had utilities cut off to her house for months, hadn't showered in probably as long, would sometimes sign on with massive bruises on her face and broken glasses with no explanation (she lived alone, wasn't an abuse thing), she was absolutely out of her mind, and she was still actively treating patients. There was nothing on her license that would have indicated anything had ever been wrong. The same way there's nothing on my license either, and I once stole a ton of narcotics from hospitals. It's not always possible to know what kind of person you're dealing with.
Jake got nine and a half years for injuring and trying to ☠️ someone with a sledgehammer. Pamela got eleven years for plotting to ☠️ someone with a sledgehammer. Meanwhile, in Texas, Leon received a life sentence for plotting to ☠️ someone, despite no one actually being injured. 😂
Judges are corrupt. Pamela Buchbinder had very high-powered lawyers. She got just 2 years more than Jacob Nolan. Americans should do something about such rotten Judges!
Yep, if you want to get away with a crime, better go somewhere other than Texas. Although we have our "fair" share of liberal judges, generally speaking we don't put up with nuttin' ... we'll just keep building prisons if need be.
Psychiatrist and therapists, I believe they have personal problems of their own that they cannot solve. So they're always wanting to solve everyone else's problems.
Well was actually told this by a therapist who definitely spent a lot of time mentioning his own problems, and saw the same with a child psychologist regularly bringing up her own family issues and what medications her kids were on, and why, had physical problems too, missed a lot of work, eventually stopped working, leaving kids confused and hurt, had other similar interests with therapists and family members, seems many of these people are mentally I’ll, on power trips, or just don’t care
He’s psychologically not all there she’s a monster to have taken an oath to treat the sick and instead she manipulated the sick to do her dirty work. She’s a sicko
2:01:20 The first story was so bad. He looked so young. It was beyond inappropriate what his cousin, his psychiatrist did to him. And yes, that one photo was bad. If I didn’t know the details, I would have thought that was her partner. Thank you so very much for so many episodes. I love your channel! Greetings from Germany.
Nahhh he needs way more time. I bet like 99% of murderers have mental health issues. And while I'm sad there wasn't early intervention and help, it doesn't take away their culpability. But the psychiatrist lady definitely needs to do time too!
01:13:11 why do they always jump to that line "as a (physician / law enforcement officer / etc), I could not have done __________", instead of saying they did / didn't commit the crime ...
Bob Newlander is a killer. He said at sentencing that he loved his wife and forever will, yet during investigation he said they were planning a trial seperation and thats why they had seperate bedrooms. I feel heart sorry for the remaining family
I love the name Bookbinder. Pamela Bookbinder. What a fabulous name. The way Jake kept calling his cousin by her full name suggests he loves the name too. 😂😂😂
Wait. 15:00 minutes into the first episode, and it is easy to say, you don’t have to be an educated doctor to find the images disturbing.😮! And not to sound rude, that “doctor” didn’t look sound in the bar mitzvah tape.😢
I've never treated a family member due to conflict, fear of bias, etc. She should've never been allowed to treat her cousin. They were too intimately involved for her to remain neutral. She abused her authority and used her knowledge of him to manipulate him.
A juror gets a text from dad to move her position to guilty and a judge says, “Nah, that’s fine.” Only in my home state of NY. They’ve been corrupt since I was a kid. I don’t know if the guy is guilty, but juror misconduct is obvious means for an appeal. At least someone finally gave him a second trial, but Nee Yorkers make terrible jurors. I know-I am one.
She violated her oath to be a therapist. She totally knew she was manipulating this vulnerable individual. Not only did she shop for the weapon she gave the kid a map of his place. Clearly she planned it out. She got what she deserved. She had mental health problems as well. Very sad this kid was controlled by her
1st case: she is a manipulative woman and needs her license revoked. how sick. she wanted her ex dead and thought she could smart her way out of it by using a fragile minded person. 2nd case: so embarrassed of her decisions that she offed herself? how selfish of her. not thinking of her daughter at all. leon is so pompous and disgusting. i hope he is NEVER in the med field. to blame the woman in this AFTER she offed herself? wow 3rd case: i'm curious to know if the siblings stood to get anything out of the will of the wife who was unalived… That would explain why they were so quick to stand with the spouse. I feel bad that the daughter was put in that situation but it's very obvious that the husband offed his wife and then used his daughter as an alibi of being the savior... unfortunately for him it backfired.
Just watched the dreading video on Pam Smart yesterday. Honestly pretty similar, but the manipulater and manipulated are RELATED! Such a weird situation! Very Bizarre
I do too , I think he thought he was in love with her and she used being the child's God Father and the love he had for them against him using it to do her bidding.
This last case is strange. I dont see any motive. But just thinking of how somebody falls in a shower its hard to justify the injury she had. Plus a doctor knows never to move a body. His own daughter even screaming at him not to. He did that for a reason. I think his daughter lied for him in court. His kids dont wanna lose both parents. So I get their loyalty. But he was found guilty in two trials. Even without any great motive. I think they had some big fight & he lashed out. It wasnt planned. Then he had to be smart moving the body around to justify all the blood in the bedroom.
The reported said that the Doctor had money problems because of the Insurance company. Insurance companies don't always want to pay doctors for their work
The polygraph refusal is simple maths (U.K. lol) would an inocent person would resist due to fear of a false positve, (especially with the MH issues suffered RA).a guilty man would jump on the opportunity with both fee😮t on the hope of a false negative.... and you can be pretty sure that RA had figured out one half of that equation, its only fair to assume that he had figured out the other, i have followed this case since the arrest and as much of the trial, as any of us could. And. Even from the UK, this conviction stinks and sits like a shadow over the international view of the whole American legal system. Ver sad.
Naw... if someone was really manipulated or psychotic, he wouldn't have known this, let alone verbalize that they were manipulated. This guy is full of s-----.
I mean..after dealing with manipulation, a VISIBLE and medically proven bout of psychosis, jail, numerous mental health interviews, medication, probably MORE therapy and having to actually process your crimes for years… idk I can see how he is able to NOW see and admit what he did was wrong and understand that yes he did it but without HER he wouldn’t have EVER been in a situation even close to this. Try looking at things from a different perspective in life, I promise it will open your mind up from its current clearly small and closed minded perspective.
As a med professional, I concur that we have a specific way to remove our gloves to PREVENT any fluids from "spattering" like they claim-that would defeat the purpous of gloves. We put our hands in fists before peeling one glove off into our other fist, then inside out.
I spit up my coffee when I heard the female doctors charges! What is first-degree attempted assault? These charges sound like they were just made up on the fly! And I am not saying that she is not guilty or guilty. I am just talking about the name of the charges, it is kind of like an oxymoron or a double entendre kind of thing. They are hilarious.
Pamela used cash to buy the sledgehammer. Smart and cautious on her part not to use her credit card? The surveillance video, however caught her in the act. Big mistake.
@Deborah-u5k no I'm the same I just notice on American crime shows they use compass point references so much instead of front back left right and so on!

How is he so aware of the fact that he was manipulated, if he's apparantly as mentally ill and as sick as he is. He's definitely avoiding accountability here. I think they both just agreed that he'd go along with it.
Now did they really need that little girl in the veterinary episode to say what a great person her cousin Valerie was? Leon is a NIGHTMARE but let’s not think Valerie wasn’t also horrible!
That psychiatrist cousin, Pamela, is pure evil. I believe she took advantage of Jake. I think Jake is mostly telling the truth and I believe he's sorry for what he did.
If my calculations are correct, both Bookbinder & her patient/cousin are out of prison. Of course I am going by the incident year so maybe they are both still in prison. BTW..How many other crime stories that indicate the murderer was coerced mentally/emotionally/physically? Charles Manson is one example. Chris Watts claims he killed his family for the woman he'd been seeing, planning to propose after eliminating his wife & two children. Three children if you count the son she was carrying.
How many times have we seen the medical examiner get it so wrong, initially, about the cause of death and then go on later to alter their report? 🤔😯 All of Leslie's many injuries (abrasions, scrapes and bruises) were on her head and neck; this doesn't happen when someone falls in a bathroom. The complex depressed fracture on her skull was a result of a blow or blows on her head, not from a fall and hitting the shower bench.

Because they happened to have a handful of episodes featuring victims or killers in the medical profession, hence the medical themed compilation. If there were 3 or more episodes featuring murderous salesmen they would done the same.
The woman involved in the first case is pure evil
Sounds like a Law and Order episode....
I don't think its ethical to treat your family members, the fact she was willing to do that alone was a red flag
My friend was married to a psychiatrist and I was shocked to find out that he had been physically abusive to her. Naive.
I have found that a lot of psychiatrists have mental issues themselves and only go into that field to try to mask it.
For years I've been convinced that a large percentage of ppl who go into psychiatry as a profession are hoping to find out what's wrong with THEMSELVES. Beware!

Psychologists as far as I’m aware do not hold prescribing rights!
If you are ever found guilty of trying to have the other parent of your child murdered, you should lose ALL contact with that child for life!!
Very insightful 😅

Wow I literally just got to this part 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. This should be interesting

Pamala looks like one of the vampire zombies from the film "I Am Legend". And she has the personality to match.
Oh god. I couldn't listen to "three little birds" for the longest time after I watched that movie 😢
I totally agree! Her eyes look scary lifeless! 😳
Doctors! Can't live with them, can't live without them.
