How to make a voxel game: Step 1 - download voxel game plugin Step 2 - you made a voxel game! :) ....I hate that so many unreal tutorials are just downloading addons.
So glad to see a tutorial of how to use this plugin. There are surprisingly few tutorials for voxel plugin - thanks for doing this one, and I hope to see more videos with this plugin!
What would be great is make a tutorial like a "rope" and a "flashlight" and a "fan" and make them interact with each other. Like you can attach the rope to the flashlight and swing the rope around with the flashlight on it to make it heavy on one end. Or attach the rope with the flashlight to the fan and have the fan blow the rope away. That kind of interaction with gadgets. Each gadget by itself also works. Think Link. Tears of the Kingdom.

I just copied all what you did but i have one issue .... I think forward vector doesn't work properly cuz when i left click mouse button it effect behind the character like opposite the direction I'm looking at 😅 can you help ?
you've just earned a new subscriber I've been sitting on a voxel game concept for literal years since i was maybe like 17 and not known how to start. I want to thank you for giving my project hope. ps I'm also interested in "Ridged body animation" if you wanna do a vid on that/ if that's your thing
Dude I LOVE this voxel series! It’s just what’s missing right now! Is there a way to realize bioms depending on area? And how would you control that? Really cool man!
This is awesome. Surely something worth exploring and playing around for fun results. Great video, thank you for sharing. I have to admit I'm impressed on your upload rate. Great content. Looking forward to future videos!
First thank you for your amazing tutorial but i have a question if you can make a video about it please I'm making a shooter game but i have a problem I can't figure out how to fix it i want to make it so if you pick up another wepon from the ground other than the one you have you drop the one that you already have
Hey there. My first comment was a bit ignorant so I removed it. Right off the I can think of at least two ways to go about this. 1. Just a normal pickup (FPS template), stick it where it should go (skeleton socket) and then just spawn another actor of the weapon you want to drop. 2. Have all possible weapons already on your character, but have them hidden in game and enable the weapon you just picked up, disabling the weapon you want to drop and again spawning a weapon actor in the level. I have done something similar but it has been a while. I could certainly try and put something together. It all depends on the setup you already have in your game.
My first game idea I was testing in ue5 used the voxel plugin. I didn't get much further than this, but you've got me thinking about that project again.
Hey man thanks for the tutorial, I have a question. I've literally as of today gotten back into the idea of doing game dev and I want to make a simple environment to help visualise how everything else will come together. I'm using this plugin to generate underwater terrain, I don't want to interact with it or anything like that at present it's purely just to decorate the area under water. I want to know is it possible for me to set a min-max height limit? I looked around through the options and the closest thing I could get that made sense was "Custom World Bounds" but trying to set min-max values for "Z" just sort of breaks everything. Any ideas? I want to just keep tweaking values until I see the results I'm after.
More Please! I'd love a 7 days to die type game tutorial. I am very interested in procedural voxel levels. I would love to know how to setup my own graph, procedurally generate biomes and work better with the free voxel plugin.
I'm getting a really strange issue where the depth order seems to be all messed up. I can look through certain mountains and mountains behind those. Anyone know how to fix that? I've tried everything I can think of. LODs, Near and Far Clip Planes, Streaming, World Partition, still nothing.
At 3:00 That's exactly what I want. That blocky teardown look. However, the rendering causes the terrain to change shape based on how far you are from it. I really hope you touch on how to properly generate cubic terrain like that.
Hello, I intend to use this mechanic of removing and placing parts of the map, but I have a question regarding the save game, do you know if there is a way to save any changes made to the landscape?
im creating something like this atm but with smaller voxels calling them poxels might have to steal there voxel and downside it instead tho because the mesh im using creates to much draw call on my memory
I really like your energy. If that'd be possible, I'd love a basic tutorial on blueprinting game mechanics and what are the typical use-cases for some of the more common nodes and variables/elements. I can follow click-here tutorials fine, but when I want to replicate something on my own, I have no idea how to do it!
Maybe next time if you're going to make a tutorial for a plugin, you mention it in the title of the video that you're using a plugin. Would have saved me some time. I'm looking for information on how to do what the plugin is doing, not how to use the plugin.
Is there a way to get procedurally generated landscapes within ue5 without buying voxels pro plugin

Awesome as always. Consider doing some Interactive gadgets mechanics like in the Batman Arkham Games please.
thank you!! Oh interesting idea, what kind of gadgets would you like to see

Like adding some variables to the voxel, and "calculate" the effect between two (or more) voxel ?

hi ineed help
Is there a way to make this work with a pre existing landscape, like something made in Gaea?
@grantbenner4209 I think you need to pro version to import height maps.
Thanks for such a neat introduction !!

yeah it is!!
