    So good to know they are almost done with your road. You are so creative with your finishing techniques. You are killing me, I have so much stitching to do and want to buy all your designs, blues and browns do go well together.
    I have hundreds of buttons they are so much fun to look through, Drew:you are so giggly today, I wish we could have a clothesline we have covenants here very annoying, the hummingbirds and orioles are here in the middle of Minnesota for a week now.
    Love your idea on the washboards, it is so nice you are doing printed patterns so many people do not have a printer, I do but love printed copies.
    Washing in lakes and rivers was so common until so many chemicals started being used like on lawns and fields.
    I have to try the rusting technique, thank you for the ideas. Love all your new designs, nice progress on your stitching.
    Love your Faith shirt, wow what a great idea to have pizza outdoors and watch the performance, I love bluegrass music, Rhonda: could you show the cabinet finish up above Drew’s head it looks adorable, love the quilt top. I am looking forward Toshiba g what you do with the bad mitten frame, the latter board is amazing, love the post, Drew: love your home for Henry,so nice and big. My husband has an old John Deere collection of small metal trackers being displayed in the house the toy size not the real size. Hope to see you both soon.

      Thank you so much for all the kind words! Our road is now done and we have sprayed our gravel road so hopefully the dust will be controlled this summer. Our hummingbirds have made their appearance too and they are so fun to watch! We have three feeders out now. We don't have any orioles but probably because I don't feed them. My mom does and they are fun to watch too.
      I have a finish for the bad mitten frame has a finish and I'll show it next time! I haven't done anything with the board yet. Still thinking on that.
      I love anything old John Deere. I grew up with old A and B John Deeres. I love to hear them running!
      Thank you for watching and hopefully we can film again next week. Summers are just so darn busy!

    So many nice pieces! I love blue and brown together, and buttons too. I stitched a clothesline back in the 80s or
    90s and put it in a washboard too. I still have it. Love that Drew can fix things, so many kids dont learn those things anymore. I got a closet full of stuff to stitch but Im going to your Etsy shop!

      I would love to see your washboard! I agree - many kids don't learn the basics anymore and being able to fix things is so important. I have a closet full of things to stitch too - and I'll never get it all done! Thank you for watching us!

    This was another wonderful video, Rhonda and Drew. The new designs are beautiful, I especially love The Leaves Were Calling and would love it in paper, please! Your haul is great, can't wait to see what you create with your finds. Great job on Henry's habitat and your lawn mower, Drew! I look forward to your next video ~ I enjoy hearing about your farm life and all that you are both working on. I hope that you are safe with all of this terrible weather, you are in my prayers.

    Always makes my day when you do a video. I love all that old rusty paint peeling stuff too. I have alot of strange pieces of old wooden things, metal things now you have totally given me some great ideas. Most of my furniture is the old crackly paint missing stiff too. If it's old I love it. I love all your patterns they are just so nice. I live in an old farmhouse too and used to live on an old farm for over 30 years. Now I have the house but no land or barns. You are a great inspiration to look at the simple happy life. Thanks

      Yes - if it's old I love it! That is so me too! I can't imagine ever living in town. We only have 4 acres but it keeps us busy enough. I'm starting to look at all my things differently and it's been a lot of fun! Thank you for the kind words and for watching us!

    How about, "handstitched gatherings". Rhonda, put a magnet on the back of your stitched piece for the washboard, then try holding a magnet on the back of the board, and see if it's strong enough to hold through the washboard.
    Drew, blue and brown definitely go together! Those are the colors in my camper. Good job fixing the mower! Now go down to the river and wash your clothes! 🤣🤣
    For the punchneedle, you can enlarge the pattern, so it will fit on that piece that you bought.

    • @AsberysEchoesStitches
      @AsberysEchoesStitches  5 месяцев назад

      I like that - handstitched gatherings! I'm going to have to do something with that. I like the magnet idea. I have some pretty strong magnets that might work. And yes, blue and brown go together. Drew doesn't know what he's talking about!
      I'm thinking the punch needle is more square and the piece is rectangle. I'm going to have to do some measuring.

    Soooo good to see you two today!!! I started using FabriFix glue for attaching my stitch pieces to wooden pieces. Then I put heavy books on top of the piece for several hours and I’m not kidding you there flat to the board and are not going to move. I bought mine at Hobby lobby I don’t know if other craft stores carry it as well. I highly recommend it! But, I’m not a big fan of hot glue anyway so maybe I’m a little prejudice. I also like Aleens tacky glue that I like this new one I found better 🙌🏼 Your charts are so very prim & very cute! You could use Velcro to hold it . I LOVE the wash day stitch & finish ♥️👕👖

      I've never heard of FabriFix glue but now I'm going to have to look for it. Thank you for the suggestion. I use hot glue quite a bit but I really don't like it. And I have used Aleens tacky glue. Velcro is an idea too! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I guess I am old school too. We live in the country in an old farm house on 20 acres on a gravel road. I have always said that we live on a farm. The original property was much larger and was a hog farm. I never thought about dying the fabric. That's a great tip. Oh my gosh, the Wash Day and the clothes line are adorable. I hang my clothes out when the dust isn't too bad. We live on the north side of the road and get a lot of dust when it's windy. You could glue the stitched piece onto a fabric covered cardboard to make a tighter fit and not have to marr the finish on your wash board. Drew's face...."It stinks. Get it out of here." I laughed out loud! Love your new designs. Happy to see you both back!

    • @AsberysEchoesStitches
      @AsberysEchoesStitches  5 месяцев назад

      I love being old school! I understand about the dust and the gravel roads. We're actually going to spray our road this year. We just can't take the dust. I couldn't hang my clothes out hardly ever last summer, or have my windows open, because the dust was so bad. I love the idea of gluing a piece of covered cardboard to the back of my stitched piece to make it fit tighter. Thank you for the suggestion! We'll definitely be back - it's just harder to find the time during the summer months. Life just gets busier in the summer it seems.

    I love your designs! I can’t stitch on anything over 16 count. Any suggestions regarding fabric that looks primitive?

    • @AsberysEchoesStitches
      @AsberysEchoesStitches  5 месяцев назад

      I haven't stitched on anything besides linen for so many years now. I'm really not familiar with anything else. You can always dye your fabric. I do that if I have something that doesn't look as prim as I would like it to. (which is most all of my linen - I seem to dye most everything anymore!) I use coffee and walnut crystals but there's a lot of different things to use like tea and Rit dye.
