Sums up the destructive practice of trawling very well. She's correct that the more selective the type of fishing, the more sustainable it is.
The bycatch from trawling is just unbelievable. Hard to believe NOAA and other fisheries services allow this level of destruction, just to have the non-targeted species, like Halibut and orca, dumped dead back into the water. Absolutely horrible.
NOAA is bought out- typical industry/ regulatory job circle. Straight from industry to regulation and vice versa.
