FM8 sounds so much like a combination of FH5 and FM6, it's genuinely mindblowing! I only liked the Cenetnario and the GT2 RS in FM7, the rest sound so much better in FM :)
The new Forza actually looks broken in some scenes. Like the night time at LeMans looks so dark and the headlights just look like an effect rather than a light source.
It looks weird because I believe there is some sort of black-level bug. What should be pitch black is a soup of grey and makes it very hard to discern detail. Like you are watching on a super old LCD.
Trust me it is, this game isn't perfect at all, hopefully they'll address all these issues and patch them in future updates, because on my Series S it looks like a Xbox One game that's how horrible my graphics are.
They so hyped about raytracing. But when you frequently play Forza the silliness begins to standout. For instance with raytracing on you will start to notice repeated reflections flickering across the rear windshield. Then you will notice that the reflection thats reflecting in the window is an overpass but their is no overpass nearby. Then you will notice a reflection in the hood of the car that is broken instead of it reflecting and moving across the car as you drive by it's actually just flashing and flickering. It's like the game can't decide to make a reflection image or not and what it suppose to be. They got cars in the game that you can't use in career mode because their are no events for it, or no class type races for it. And why is the drag radials tires in the game when their is no drag racing!! This is an half ass game!
This game seems to have a grey filter. I can really see it at night time. I don't know if this is actually the case but it was something that I have noticed while watching videos of the new Forza Motorsport.

It’s a bug Man. I had the same issue. Start the game up, then quit it when youre in the showroom. Sit at the Xbox Home Screen for about 10 seconds and press the Home button and restart Your Xbox. For whatever reason, this corrects the bug and not entirely sure why. I’m on the Series X and this was the fix for me 🙏🏾
It's a bug. If you even ENTER the visual settings and don't restart the game you get that washed out grey. Game looks fantastic in quality mode too I will say.
You deserve praise for the graphics section, that's quite a bit of work :) It's sad that the sounds aren't punchy and excitingly mixed like those in FM7 but the new one does have more detail
What graphics... plastic looking cars. Broken reflections. Road textures are dowgrade from forza 7. Its bad... how can they make it looks worse than horizon 5🫠 Laguna Seca with fog i got rolling shadow like reflexion over my car from left tire which went from back over the roof. Looked so hilarious. Got good laughs about it 😆 Just takenthe game back and release it again next year with proper next gen stuff! Or should i say current gen.
I’m not going to lie I was getting confused on which was the new game. Because the graphics look so similar if you look away or dose off you forget which one is which I had to literally pause the video and see which game is new. This is why I said we have gotten to the point with games where graphics don’t matter anymore. We knows these games will look good that’s nothing to worry about it’s all about gameplay and features now. We have to worry about is the game actually good. Does the game have good mechanics and gameplay does it have depth. Because graphics are no longer a problem I can’t even tell which game is which the graphics look so identical you would be hard eyeing which game came out first 😂😂😂
I think it’s crazy I had to play hours just to upgrade a civic to the top of d class. Then you have to wait over 25 mins most of the time just to start a race. You unlock upgrades you can’t even afford to put on. Game is an insane pointless grind people have lives and just want to race and buy stuff w car points. This is the battlefield 2042 of racing games.
Those road textures on an Xbox One game is crazy when you compare to a Series game.. I get that they updated the tracks to what they are today but the texture quality is down there unlike FM7..
As a gran turismo fan, i think fm7 is much better than fm8. Man I thought fm8 would be a great competitor to gt7, it scares me a bit tbh lol. I would like to try out fm7 if I ever get a chance.❤
Overall yes Fm7 is superior to FM. This new one is basically just Fm7 but with a copy of gt7 multiplayer, but the lack of fm7 division leaderboards, lack of casual online lobbies, lack of driver suits to set yourself apart from everyone, lack of tracks. Nordeschleife, Bathurst, Road Atlanta, Bernes Alps, those are gone. Along with several others. I just wanted Fm7 but with the new FM graphics and its ranked multiplayer. That would of been a banger for me.
FM7 has very arcady handling, dad music, and feel like a regression of FM6 after FM6 tried to right the ship after FM5. FM8 feels like a beta still imo, but worth playing off gamepass
As some who has been in the forza motorsport gaming for a long time, the 6 year wait is not absolutely worth it, they need to improve how the game sounds and looks. GT7 is also an awesome game also but I hope to this new forza gets some improvements.
Idk, maybe it's just me, but I always feel like Forza has some weird audio filter that make the engines sound empty, poor and if you're about 100m away. If I turn the volume up to where I got Assetto Corsa for example, I would get the biggest headache I've ever had. I'd say some of these cars in FM have some good level of detail and generally sound right but get disturbed by whatever that is. Talking about AC, I will also never get how some random modder will do 10x more detailed and better sound than a AAA studio
a random modder isn't beholden to corporate whims. they do what they want, how they want and are usually more intrinsically passionate about cars vs a dev who may just be a technical acquisition.
yeah i'm telling you why a dev would "choose" to make content that is subpar to what a modder could do. (i'm agreeing that some studio-made content is shit compared to mods) @@gbales84

@@ghosto_o797I feel the complete opposite haha, looks like they finally got the rpms of most (probably all) sounds correct, which is not the case with a lot of Assetto Corsa mods, and that triggers me. A 9000rpm engine without the 9000rpm tone is just missing the 'extra spice' of high-revving engines to me. But to their credit, they do often sound more authentic. But I just can't live with incorrect revs, which has been a problem in 99% of racing games including GT7. Edit: And FH5 is the worst offender of them all, often with an added pitch-down that makes revs inaccurate, and the laughable full throttle sound even with like 10% throttle input.
GT7 is getting now massive 1.40 update that introduces many changes and we FINALLY GET SOPHY AI replacing regular AI cars :D. Can't wait to test it out. Played both and personally like way more FM7 and GT 7 instead of current Forza, its juts feels soulless cash grab.
Sounds are mediocre in stock form. But they’ve still lost the VTEC crossover on Hondas, and I’ve seen another video showing upgraded sounds and they’re absolutely no different to stock. It’s lazy and disappointing. No turbo sounds again. Exhausts not changing visibly when upgraded again. No window stickers again. Same aero again. Not worth £70 and still behind Gran Turismo with the gap widening.
Frustrated that we've waiting 6 years for this, and all MS is doing is silencing negative feedback and posting paid reviews. They're not going to fix this product. I have to stick with FM7 for who knows how long.
Microsoft have nothing going for them anymore. Both Halo and Forza took 6 years to develop, both equally disapointing. Best thing is, Turn 10 is still using car models from Motorsport 2.
I've only played Forza Motorsport for a few hours but I'm monumentally disappointed so far with the graphics and sound. The graphics are a huge step back and look like they're from the XBOX 360 era. Pixel drops, lines that should be smooth are jagged. Colors are dull and textures look too dark or flat. I've spent a good hour+ calibrating my TV and XBOX to no avail. I remember them mentioning how they improved how wheels are rendered for a more realistic appearance. Well, the wheels look beyond abominable. Furthermore, the cars sound muffled and dull. I'm playing on an XBOX Series S with a 4K HDR TV. Forza 7 looks great with the same console and TV. Either I got a bad download or Forza Motorsport is only "great" on the Series X or PC.
I’ll probably buy Forza Motorsport 8 when it’s on a discount on the Xbox Marketplace. But I think I’m more satisfied with Forza Motorsport 7 and I was glad I got that before it was delisted. Plus it had a bigger variety of tracks.
Is it me or do the sounds in motorsport 8 have a gran turismo 2 type quality to them? So far I’ve been very critical of FM8 there a lot that really isn’t up to par here. However some of the sounds in this video are really nice; I love the induction whistle on some of these cars, it was missing in recent Forza titles.
Ehhhh in terms of presentation…. Gran turismo does a phenomenal job in visuals and sounds (can’t believe they are the masters of sound) but let’s see in terms on playability… GT7 lacks proper race events… and that’s coming from a Die hard Granturismo fan.
It's quite remarkable how a game 6 years in development, EXCLUSIVELY for next gen, manages to pale in comparison to Forza Horizon 5, a game that not only has better lighting, materials, trees, grass and dynamic weather, but is also Open-world. The fact that something as basic as 3D trees was something they had to f*cking MARKET in this game, shows how lazy the entire development cycle has been. Oh and let's not forget that a huge chunk of the car selection is recycled, mangled old-ass car models from 10 years ago. "From the ground up" my ass.
I used to defend forza a lot but at this point, where did the 6 years go ? The game has nothing to actually justify the 6 years. Did they just spend majority of the time working on the tires?
Dude... am I going insane?? How does Motorsport '23 look or sound any better than Motorsport 7? The colors look way more dull, the sounds are way more muffled, it completely looks like we're going backward here... Am I missing something??????
On some screenshots of fm8 you might think that the cars have lack of reflexions, reliefs an so compared to FM7 , but its mainly because of the weather. On fm7 you have suset/ sunrises that allows good lighting n reflexions / shadows, wether on fm8, it is othen Noon at zénith when you have no shadows and bad lighting so it is harder to make it looks beautiful , but the game is. Try it on yourself for a picture, light from above , and 45* youll look so much better with a diagonal light. Its kinda blurry some times tho
It's all very personal in the end but... I think fm7 looks a lot more crisp and they have definitely moved from a blueish tint tio a yelllower tint. I think the development went under the hood as it were because i think graphically It's not what i was expecting after 6 years. I do see there is more detai in road textures but you dont really see that racing.
That’s how it is IRL, the f20c, and & f22c vetch crossover is audibly much more tame… the induction noises intensify but the “crack” of vtec is much less.
Well s2000 has a big sound difference in vtec. Have been in one and also all type r cars sounds nothing like there real counter parts. Trust me i know! Put some cold air intakw and it roars when vtec kicks. Not in new Fm. It just sounds lame and shit. Everybody who thinks its good... get your ears checked. Gtr 35... i laughed when i heard it... upgrades should make it sound not like in Fm... it looks like an x box game. Not xbox series game and sounds horrible.
@@familialgameaholics7618 I know it's tame, but not to the point you can't hear an audible difference, in the new motorsport there's nothing, but in fm7 they had it?

Sometimes it is about simple details, sometimes it is about the overall vision of the whole, sometimes about a compendium of things, but no other surpasses this Forza in a 1vs1 comparison if absolutely all the sections and details are taken into account. , since even if one game falters in one aspect and another game falters in another aspect, in the end in the sum of the whole Forza is one step above. And that's even when it comes to games with numerous patches and polishing updates behind them. It would be necessary to compare this newly released Forza with the moment in which those games were released for it to be a correct comparison, or failing that, do it when Forza receives several post-launch polishes, then the difference with respect to the others will only increase .

That's because it is.
The interior lighting is so much better in 7. I was bouncing back and forth on my Xbox and that stood out to me.
You're not wrong. Everything in the new FM is a lot more bland and grey.
It's a bug that will be resolved in the next patch according to the devs.
@@acurisurIs that offically a bug? I wanted ti play It the 10th october from gamepass but at the same time Id like to try It just when the bug will be resolved
You deserve praise for the graphics section, that's quite a bit of work :)
It's sad that the sounds aren't punchy and excitingly mixed like those in FM7 but the new one does have more detail
They put all efforts in graphics and forgot that immersion comes with the sound RICHFULL sound of engine and Proper engine SOUND
What graphics... plastic looking cars. Broken reflections. Road textures are dowgrade from forza 7.

Online in FM8 is just next level, there are some issues regarding the livery thats not pulling thru properly but thats one complaint I have.
If only they knew how to import realistic engine sounds into the game, I mean, Codemasters did it in Dirt Rally 1 and 2.
