WHY don't you give us more information about the wood itself, especially when you say it is just nearly impossible to work with, I am sure that there are many people watching this video that have the same opinion, and it would probably make more people share the video if they could talk about what it is and why it is so difficult to work with! PLUS IT WOULD MAKE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE A LITTLE BIT MORE INTERESTING INSTEAD OF JUST WATCHING A COUPLE OF GUYS WRESTLING WITH A LOG,WE HAVE SEEN THAT IN EVERY SINGLE VIDEO YOU HAVE PRODUCED! I MEAN CUTTING A TEAK LOG HAS BEEN SHOWN BY NEARLY EVERY SAWYER ON RUclips! I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM, HOW LONG IT WAS LEFT TO DRY BEFORE YOU CUT IT, HOW MUCH YOU ACTUALLY GOT FROM THIS LOG,AND OTHER THINGS WOULD MAKE SENSE TO YOUR VIEWERS! IT IS A NICE LOG,BUT YOU HAVE HAD SOME MUCH NICER CUTS, SO IT WOULD BE GREAT TO KNOW WHAT MAKES IT SO MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THE REST! ANYWAY YOU ARE PRETTY AWESOME AND
I believe the wood is Lignum Vita, or Ironwood, used in the past for bearings and things that experience a lot of wear. It is also used for wood mallets and pilings and things that experience a lot of weathering. It is too hard to work with for most things like ship decks but has industrial applications. It's also extremely heavy, more like iron than wood.
I had been dreading cutting some Black Locust trees on our property because it is so hard on chain saws, funny thing though, my inexpensive Ryobi 18 V saw had absolutely no problem with chain wear because it feeds much slower, thus the wood, even though it is hard, doesn't overheat the teeth, thus, they don't lose temper and dull. A gas chain saw is too fast, and the teeth get hot and dull.
@robertcooper3491 Good question. Actually, I hadn't seen the video before answering. But I work with furniture, and the machines can't even see anti rust oil because the wood dust would block everything.
@@oksandro29 every video I’ve seen…some poor little old man pores water onto the blade… shoely they can rig some sort of apperatice to keep the blade cool (sorry about spelling…it’s the early hours …here in the GB)
I'm guessing this is in the Lignum Vitae family. The people don't really seem to know what they're doing. No real water cooling on the blade, and using a standard toothed blade instead of an abrasive blade

What is that wood? Or is the blade dull?
Really strange! States that it cannot be cut, but yet it was.

What kind of wood is this??😮
Teak wood
The wood maybe hard but the real issue is that the saw blade gums up. The sawdust turns to putty and blocks up the saw teeth.

無法剪切!是用剪刀剪還是菜刀切?不都砍下來了嗎?無法剪切不得砍不動才是嗎?
Never ceases to amaze me … WHY DONT the owners of the mill install a hosepipe to run onto blade …ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE 😂😂
Non si può
That's not possible!
It'd damage the saw mechanism, it'd be clogged 😊.
@@oksandro29 then why put water on the blade if it’s gonna block
