- KEEP LOOKING....ITS IN FULL....
This might be one of those rare times when I'm struck dumb. What Pina Bausch did with Gluck's Overture to "Orpheus & Eurydice" is possibly the best thing I've ever seen choreographed to opera because you don't choreograph to opera and achieve greatness. Unless you are PIna Bausch. Развлечения
I just saw this performed at Lincoln Center tonight, and am awestruck by how beautiful
and mournful, it was. It's a lovely feeling I want to savor for a bit longer.
I truly love this work. So many things I want to see live...
Fabulous! I'm a Pina fan and am SO SO sad I have a flight to Europe the day this opens in the Lincoln Center Festival 2012 (July 20). A flight I can't change, alas.
thanks for the post!
Great piece. Thanks or posting. And let's hear it for the dancers! Great ensemble work here. I believe this is from the Paris Opera Ballet performance.
@LiedVonDerErdite Thank you for your comment and the suggestion on El Nino which I will definitely watch. I was very happy to read your comment on The Joffrey's debut of the reconstruction of Le Sacre du Printemps. A great moment in the history of that masterpiece.
I haven’t seen it yet, but I really like mythology so I’ve already liked it
Yes please watch the full thing, its in 2 pieces on my channel in HD ruclips.net/video/Istl2NSMs54/видео.html
Thanks :)
ESTO SI ES UNA PUESTA EN ESCENA!
Bello!
@xhagast Right, like almost all of Mozart's work or something. I just love what Pina Bausch did with this.
@fatovamingus It is very minimalist. Seen the sets for the operas in The Phantom of the Opera movie? they had horses with wings as props!!
This is one of those songs(pieces of music)you have heard a dozen times in a dozen places but you don't know what it is or where it comes from.
This isn't the overture , it is the first scene of the first act of the Orpheus & Eurydice.
ah yes you're right. it was a long time ago but I think I did a cut and paste as I could not grasp the spelling.
