The side stories of Arkham City say that Ra's al Ghul experimented on Grundy with his Lazarus Pit before discarding him, which is how Penguin found him. I think Grundy's appearance in this will be unrelated.

Between Arkham Origins on home consoles (PS3, Xbox 360 e.t.c) and Battlefield 4, I'd say Arkham Origins. Between Battlefield 4 and this Arkham Origins for 3DS and Vita, I'd say Battlefield 4 (even though I don't like those kind of games or even played a Battlefield). I like the look of the game and I think I'll enjoy, but if I wasn't such a massive Batman fan, I doubt I would feel the same way. If you liked the other Battlefields, then definitely go with that. :)

I am way excited to get this game. I will get the one for xbox and this one. The only reason why I wouldn't get this game for 3ds is if it got horrible reviews. And this is going to be a totally different game from the xbox and ps3 versions. So you can get 2 different batman games in the same time period!!!!
