Those top turns are half JJohns turns . A new style. Bit hard to bottom turn halfway down the face sometimes if its dredging. Judges will probably get sick of it in 6months.
Liam O'Brian is my new fav surfer!!!! Yes he lost this heat to George, who is an amazing talent. Definitely has the goods to be a top 5 contender. As does the raw attack of Liam "Burleigh" O'Brian. In my opinion, his surfing has tons of room to improve & it wont take that much for him to bust into that top 10. Once he does, his convidence will rise & sucsess will follow. Super excited for this new Aussie Surf Crew, coming through, to take back over the Surf World. Once again. Boom🤙
Everyone knows Pittar was robbed at the last event. But a NINE? I understand it's a make up from the WSL for outrageous judging last time but don't make it so obvious. That was an 8 at best. This comes from someone who wants to see him win the event.
George was definitely on his A game and had this heat on lock regardless; but a 9.0 for a 3-turn wave with no finish? I don't think so.
Pittar won, but his 9 shoulda been a 8 and obrians 2 turn shoulda been half point more
