They always lower the water level for winter. Yes, the boat ramp used to be a paved road. There are actually still structures under the water from the towns.
I Agree! Another great video! I've seen the jeep with the 12 gates spare tire cover around as well...! Thats kind of cool! (yeah, I'm a nerd)....... Any possibility I could look you guys up when my rig is done??? Brand new to the overland thing....simple guidance would be great! ( like where to go).....Keep the videos coming!!!
These are forest roads and vehicle access trails. They are all in the area east of the reservoir. ATV trails are in the south of the forest and they have a license fee to access but there are a bunch of them as an official network of trails too small for vehicles.
I have been steadily exploring allegheny every weekend, since your videos turned me on to the idea about 6 months ago. I was in that relative area last weekend. It's a lot of fun right now. Is it required to wear orange, even if not hunting?
Jonathan ribbing are you familiar with the alleghany forest road ? When is the next time you will be goin there ?? I’m planning to get a few people to go there april 14 and April 15 2023
Depends on which forest road. Most main wide dirt roads that have entry and exit points are open year round. Trails that hit dead ends are hit or miss for gates.
Awesome, clicked the buttons for ya. 👍
Thanks for watchin!
Look like Fun! ran across the bathtub last year as well... :)
It’s one of those fun random finds! 😅
New to overlanding near the WNY area. Would love to connect and learn more. Looking to explore Allegheny this fall
You’re in the right place. All my videos have Forest road and trail info. 🤙
Another great video. That is a natural spring coming out of that hill.
It was pretty wild! Love finding stuff like that 🤙

Yep and you can see the “river” on the maps still too.
Loving those autumn colors.. 😍😍 Wishing we had autumn here..
That was a natural spring, they pipe them so you can get water.
Sick trip bro!!
Any chance you can post the map coordinates for that boat ramp?

Where do you access these trails from? Are ATVs and UTVs allowed on them?

I don’t think it’s required for every visitor but it’s definitely a good idea during hunting season.

Are those gates open year round,or only certain times of the year?
