  • VGR Colonial Express passenger carriages built in the 1880’s.
    The train was a mixed consist starting at Castlemaine then At Muckleford travelling through to Maldon 4/5/2024.

    If one had been available, I guess a Y class of the 0-6-0 variety would've suited even better for era matching purposes, but still great to see the EMD version at work. 😊

    Sounded like an ALCO 6-251B at the start, not an EMD 567C, better check under the engine cowl! True EMD sound at 7:30 mark. Around 1969 when I was a boy the Stationmaster at Maldon gave me a "thick ear" for playing on the platform scales when told not to. My mother said "Serves you right lad..."😁 Great video, I enjoyed that. Thank you Michael.

      T333 is at Maldon not Castlemaine
