Our final was shit until the 80th minute so ... If Kolo Muani has scored at the end i can't imagine Argentinians desillusion. We made a great tournament but we choke at the last step.
Uhh, maybe. They played okay. They got to the final because they had one of the strongest and deepest squads, but play and tactical-wise they were not more than 'okay' to watch, but sometimes you would see glimpses of excellence (Griezmann shone like a diamond amongst coal). Mbappè played well only in the final, and that historic last part of it. The rest of the time France got carried by Antoine and the fact that the other teams didn't really pose that much of a threat. Marocco could have shocked them, but they were destroyed physically by the previous games in which some key players exited on injuries
Argentina on the other hand had the toughest time hanging on a wire, just about to be eliminated after 2 games. Then it all clicked, and from that 0 that turned to 1 with Messi's goal against Mexico, they were able to build on it confidence wise while they kept playing for Messi, and Messi kept trying ways to be of use to the team. He was humble enough to study new tactics, listen to a young manager and to bow his head when needed. And delivered. Every. Single. Game. Kylian, even with a lackluster wc performance, managed to bag a whole 8 goals, props to him! But Messi, while scoring one less, was also the best assister of the tournament, and did so much more than that, in both key passes (like for Di Maria's goal in the final) and pure magic to break pressure on teammates

Argentina showed the most effort there. What a goal by Di Maria, and matched by France right after.
Effort? Lmaoooo France were toying with that clown team 😂😂 they could have scored 8 goals but didn’t want to risk injuries. And two of Argentina’s goals were lucky. First one was a hit and hope (same with Pavard goal) and on the second one Mercado was trying to get out of the way of Messi’s shot. Belgium was a much tougher opponent.
