A good way not to buy doubles when your out at stores you could take a picture of your art supplies on your phone than you can look on phone to see what colors or supplies you have..
Do you do Chinese brush painting/Japanese Sumi-e? Or any eastern calligraphy? It's the way you hold your brushes and pens. You hold them the way you should hold eastern calligraphy/paint brushes!
That's such an interesting observation! I just hold any pen or pencil differently as I taught myself to write before I started school and I guess my mom didn't correct me. I never did the full fist hold of a pencil like most kids. I did have a gr 7 teacher tell me I would never get a job because of how I held my pen even though I was an A student and had great penmanship. Didn't stop me getting an MA in art history and I'm still employed 😄
