I got the 7550 with the i7-1750H processor, Quadro 5000 video card and the regular 1080p screen, all of which came out to a laptop decently priced at slightly over $2000; I am also extremely pleased with the ethernet port, a rarity on most laptops and finally, the capacity to generously upgrade the RAM and the SSD.
Hello sir, please can you tell me your opinion on this laptop you right now? I want to buy one (used with same specs) but I am hesitated a little bit because I might build a PC with rtx 4070 And thanks
I'm in doubt about buying my first workstation. What do you think if you had the choose between the HP zbook fury 15, Lenovo P15 or Dell 7550 with i7-10750, T1000 and 16GB RAM? These are all three top workstations but I can't choose between them. Can you tell in short what the cons and pros are and which one you would buy?
I am looking to buy the Dell Precision 7550 with 32 GB ram and i7 10850H CPU, no dedicated GPU. Would i still be able to do light video / photo editing on it?
Just commenting on your last comment about MS WORD and EXCEL, Can you please try to open a large .docx file that has more than 1000 pages with pictures, tables, macros, heather and footer and try it with the 7750, I would like to see the result because with my system 2019 Thinkpad X 1 Extreme I struggle editing this kind of large files, thx
No. Maybe on a 15 inch laptop, 4k is a bit overkill. 2k is a much better option for 15 inch screens. But on a 17 inch laptop, 4k is a must if you are doing any serious video editing that requires precise control over where elements are placed. And 4k allows you to utilize the larger screen to display more smaller text without compromising the clarity of text. That being said, if your eyesight isn't very good, you won't be able to see much of a difference between 1080p and 4k
@@vivek_v No. 4K on any monitor smaller than around 32" is futile. How often do you even consume 4K source? BE HONEST. Our eyes don't need it and we certainly don't need to waste money and power on a 4K screen. Save your money for more storage or memory, etc.
@@DLVRYDRYVR I actually appreciate the resolution all the time and yes I do have another laptop with the same screen size that only has a 1080p display and the difference is definitely noticeable. It's the difference between readable text and unreadable text with a small font size. This is so important in video editing with small text everywhere. And also not to mention that on many laptops, the 4k display option has better colors than the 1080p one. Going back to 1080p won't be the end of the day for me, but it will be an obvious annoyance that (in my opinion) is worth the extra money to get rid of. However, as my eyesight gets worse, the difference between 1080p and 4k will be almost nothing. But I still have a good 10 or so years before that happens.
@@DLVRYDRYVR I'm honnest and I prefer a lot my 17.3" 4k than the old 1080p, character are so sharp, it's very confortable, feels like reading a printing instead of a character made of lego bricks.
That’s for the absolute extreme, most expensive possible customization options. With regular options it’s 2k-3k, pretty expensive but roughly in line with the performance imo
I wish Dell would sell AMD Mobile Workstations. AMD's 5900H completely destroys the Xeon and i9 10885's (40% better multithread, 10% better single thread). Oh well. Missed opportunities.
Did they receive a damaged review unit? The plastic bezel around the keyboard looks warped and the area around the USB-C/lightning port looks bent.
Looks like someone did a terrible job while upgrading that ram...

Really good overview, thanks for sharing your info! I've got mine one month ago and I'm happy with it (battery life is amazing)! :)

4K on laptops is hopeless, everything is so tiny. You need more screen estate.

Mine is fast with Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-10885M CPU @ 2.40GHz , 16Gb Video ram 64GB RAM, it is comparable to Lenovo Thinkpad P53
this unit seems super broken. look at the bent keyboard bezel and the left side usb c port ......
This looks a bit outdated while the aspect may contribute to its affordable price.
is this laptop qualify for quantum computing? if yes, I'll buy it. heck for a 6k on a laptop
Lenovo works just fine for me
$6,000 is just absurd.

Please don't put it on the armrest

Hp is better than dell
AMD is faster.
