Hello, gj for the swap. don't know if you did a followup but here some baseline if someone is interested (we do this swap since mid-late 2020 here in italy, but as you mentioned no one posted a video about it :P ) -New menu button works but need allignement can be mounted with both tunnel harnesses BUT: -old harness --> you need to stick to the old DNA -new harness --> you need to use the new DNA with allignment plus -Wirless charger works only if you swapped the 2020 body (personally im working on a 3d project for fit an aftermarket charger) don't know if you also need my20 cluster + ETM, i decided to stick to the my18 ETM. -You need to bring a 12v plug for the front cigarette lighter, also if you want the led aroud it working bring also the yellow cable for light it up only way to mount the tunnel is to detach the car harness from the tunnel like you did, yes it will be a little shorth but it will fit. hope someone will find this helpfull
Great content! Worth the watch every time. I’ve done a lot of mods on my Giulia just haven’t worked around editing videos. This Chanel is inspiring! keep it up! 💪🏽
Thank you brotha! I tried to put a ton of info in there, as much as I could think of. Thank you for always supporting our videos, we greatly appreciate it.
I’d actually love to see you complete the whole swap with the charger and the shifter mounting bracket… one day I’ll get motivated and do this. The wireless charger (and wireless CarPlay adapter) would be the icing on the cake
Guys, sorry this is unrelated but as you two are utter experts with these cars I have a question I hope you can answer… I’ve seen a qv interior, front seats back seats door cards. Now I want it, I’ve heard the donor car has to have the same spec as mine regards electrics, mine has heated electric seats and a heated steering wheel, I’ve checked with the seller and this new interior has the same, same year too, will this swap work? I’ve read it should, as there’s only a problem if the seats aren’t electric etc as the squib won’t be able to pick them up. Can I buy this interior and it be plug and play. Really appreciate your guidance on this one.
Hey guys awesome channel looking to get a 2018 Giulia TI sport AWD no LSD .. does yours have the performance pack and if it doesn't does it make a big difference ?
We do not, we do however have a LSD we’ll be installing soon. I have AWD and LSD on my Stelvio and it’s a significant quicker pick up in my opinion. Very quick off the line. I can’t tell if that’s from the LSD or AWD.
Since I can't leave comments on shorts that I know of, this might be the closest video to the subject. I was using your short about upgrading the shifter--I put in the perforated black leather with red stitching in a 2019 Giulia Quadrifoglio. At first I thought I would have to buy a deep socket hex wrench because with my set, when the socket is clipped into the ratcheted driver, there is not enough hedroom for the screw coming up from the bolts, but I discovered by not locking the socket into the driver, only putting it in halfway, as the bolts were not very tight, I was able to remove and replace them that way. But when looking to buy a deep socket version, I realized there's an error in your video where you say they are 20 mm bolts--they are 10 mm bolts. I guess most people would figure that out in the course of doing it, but I thought I 'd point it out. I didn't have to disconnect the other wires going to the console as it seems seen you may have done, I just unplugged and plugged in the one to the shifter. I assume there is no problem with leaving those other wires connected, as far as circuitry. Everything seems to work fine after I finished.
You can leave comments on shorts. I appreciate you reaching out but if you rewatch the short I say four x 10mm bolts. I know because I’m extremely critical when I edit and this was a voiceover. You in theory could leave everything else plugged in if you had room, we decided to just remove that entire panel. No difference in the process.
@@ModdedMotors I listened to the video again just now and this time I did hear 10 mm. Funny because I listened to it several times before and thought you said 20 mm. I know slight deficits in hearing can affect such things, but a few years ago there were a number of videos or tests where someone would say a particular word and different people would here different words. Anyway, thanks for the tip about leaving comments on shorts, I guess I didn't recognize the comment icon in the sidebar. I had room to lay the me console covers to the right, so that was easier for me than having to detach and reattach those connections.
Love the 2020 ver. just for the fact it has a spot for your key fob, and even the wireless charger doesn't work, it still has a spot to at least place your phone. 🤌🤌
Strongly advise against the alcantera on the the center console. It will quickly markup/wear with where your arm rests and rubs it. Man that was a struggle and is kinda proof that some things just aren't worth it. Hope it all works out though.
That’s a GREAT point, I didn’t even think of that. Honestly unless you REALLY want a 2020 center console not worth it imho. Better money spent elsewhere on these cars.
Hey guys! I just tried to do this myself today but ran into some alignment issues at the front (it wouldn’t quite sit flush against the rest of the dashboard) did you guys have this issue too?
I wonder if you can retrofit a touch screen unit? I’ve seen a few android head units that looks stock and has stock menu/launcher wondering if that’d be a good alternative.
Got you covered. I will let you know on CF console as well. ;) Nice work.
I appreciate you always coming through 🙌🏽 can you order 2020+ consoles as well? In case people are looking to purchase?
@@ModdedMotors Of course he can. Jason can get anything and all things Alfa! Best resource ever!

-New menu button works but need allignement

-old harness --> you need to stick to the old DNA
-new harness --> you need to use the new DNA with allignment

-Wirless charger works only if you swapped the 2020 body (personally im working on a 3d project for fit an aftermarket charger) don't know if you also need my20 cluster + ETM, i decided to stick to the my18 ETM.
-You need to bring a 12v plug for the front cigarette lighter, also if you want the led aroud it working bring also the yellow cable for light it up

Defiantly going to be doing this on my 18 ti sport . Love to see there is a community I can feel welcome. Thanks for all your videos.
Thank you for the kind words!
Very impressive. Y'all will officially be the GOATs if y'all add the touch screen software/hardware lol
Lol 😂 definitely something I want to try next !

Awsome project bro! Glad you were able to tackle this. Might consider for the future
I’m barley seeing this comment 😅
Great episode guys, appreciate the hard work!
Thank for the kind words Gary! Glad you’re enjoying the content 🤝
Great news that the swap is possible. But where do you buy the new console?
You can but it from Alfissimo, or you can find it used on eBay

Weird request but can you make a video of what tools (where to buy them..) you use to be able to work on the Alfa’s?
Dude not a weird request at all! I’ll make it no problem 🤝

Have you guys replaced the infotainment screen yet? I know you guys have a 2017 so I’m sure that there is some de laminating going on.
What’s nice is the infotainment has held up; we do have a replacement. We went aftermarket and will do a video once the car is back from paint 🤝
Hey guys! I just tried to do this myself today but ran into some alignment issues at the front (it wouldn’t quite sit flush against the rest of the dashboard) did you guys have this issue too?
Did the wireless charger work? Also where did you buy the console
We just posted a new video trying to get the wireless charger to work, we got it off eBay
Is it possible to upgrade digital cluster and multimedia? I want that touch screen badly
It is but expensive, I’ll be attempting both in the future
I am more interested if it is possible to make SW out of Berlina... that would be so sick, I still cannot believe Alfa Romeo ditched SW for Stelvio...
Great job. 🎉😁👍👏
Thank you so much!
Great job ♥️
Thank you 🫶🏼
Have you all ever tried to replace the infotainment screen from 2017 2019-2020 and newer?

I’m definitely considering the android 10.5”
where did you buy the centre console 2020? can you share the website?
eBay
Just 1 question why the hell did you not place something soft on your garage floor instead of putting your trims directly on the concrete floor
Because it’s not that serious and I’ve already replaced the unit with carbon
is the center console of the giuilia and stelvio the same?
For the most part yes, it’s actually slightly easier for the Stelvio.
Man a lot of work. Looks cool though
It sure was 😂 if there was a how to might of been done in 1 day. Definitely cool!
I feel like eventually, your car will just end up being a Quadrifoglio, like an Italian ship of Theseus
Give it time 😂 slowly working our way there
👍

I love yall
Love you too 🫶🏼
2020 because I hate the sliding door thing.
What tha fuuuugggg? Nice nice. 😊

wow! such a sloppy careless job!
putting the controls and parts facing DOWN on conrete!?
That’s what you got from this video? Lol
Have you considered doing this upgrade in your stelvio?
