Thank you for your interesting contributions. For aesthetic reasons I wouldn't do some of your modifications, but that may be due to the estimated 30 year age difference between us. 😉 I changed the horrible shifter and unergonomic steering wheel on my 2018 Giulia Veloce Diesel 3 years ago. There was also an inverter for the unspeakable start-stop automatic. Last year yellow brake calipers were added and a small increase in power to almost 250 hp at 570 Nm. Consumption was reduced by 0.5 liters/100km. Now I'm still thinking about installing a 10.2" cartablet. LG from Switzerland 🍀
I'm curious to know which solution/product you chose. There is a 10.25" car tablet on the market, which is offered for upgrades in Stelvio and Giulia. The upgrade looks very nice in the Stelvio. It is mounted straight and placed in the middle and does not disappear behind the steering wheel. But this product is a disaster in the Giulia. Mounted crookedly, completely out of center and therefore behind the steering wheel. I hope you have a better solution, and not this one: ruclips.net/video/Rb8cwZnNz-M/видео.htmlfeature=shared
Got a 2018 TI Sport almost a year ago and been watching your vids before I even decided to get one lol did a few mods with your channels help and now finally decided to get into more serious mods like a tune and exhaust systems.. and would be nice to have a newer shift knob to covert to too 😏😂 but appreciate you guys and this channel! Nice to see it growing how it has and for Alfa Romeo’s to finally get more popularity and recognition. 🙌🏼
A nice change. Upgrade may be a stretch, but to each his or her own. And now others will know the process to do the changeover if that's their preference. So well done on giving people this information.
@ModdedMotors I installed the AndroidAuto/CarPlay upgrade to my 2017, but it just added it to the existing system without changing the screen. I basically had to do half of what you did and install the add-on box near the one behind the cubby. It fit but was a tight area to work in so like you said, not hard, just time consuming. I wonder if you can change the screen background on that unit that you have to get rid of that weirdly-worded for trademark infringement background. 😆 🤣
Awesome video, I got a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Special Edition Alfa Red, that shifter does look better, hopefully I will be the lucky guy. Cheers Luca
Love Everyones rendition of the Alfa. Had mine for about a year now And so far I’ve just updated the intake. What do you guys think of the eurocompulsion V4 intake
Please do because I can’t deal with this outdated rotary dial and small non touch screen. I love my car as much as you all do yours but Alfa really dropped the ball on the screens hah
Hey Ricky....love the video! I was thinking of changing out my perforated leather shifter to a smooth leather version on my 2022 Stelvio. Can you provide any recommendations on where I should look to grab one? Does the black on black smooth leather version come on a specific year/model that you are aware of? THX Mike
Love the smooth leather look, they’re definitely hard to find. Perforated leather is definitely easier to find, if I get any in stock I’ll let you know. Or you can try to buy from Alfissimo or Dealer. Cheapest option was wait and check junk years or eBay
@@ModdedMotors I checked Jason's site first:-)...but perforated seems is all he has. I was able to find one new from a Facebook seller at a fairly good price for OEM new but we'll see when it comes it. If I have a good experience with it I'll pass it along. I was kinfa bummed I didn't get to see you and Crystal in PA...I'm only about 2 hours from Carlisle but was away that weekend :-(
💀💀 lmfao I wanted to make it fun for me 😂 Dashboard seems like a lot more steps but nothing too crazy. We eventually have to pull ours too, just take your time.
Honestly 105k miles on 2018 is a bit much, if you do buy it, I recommend to get extended warranty, with that many miles, things will break, and anything breaking is thousands of dollars.
What i've always done is try to calculate miles per year. Since 2018 105k miles is about 17k miles per year. So it was likely a daily driver. Honestly depending on how much you buy it for it may not be terrible. What you should keep in mind though is the maintinance cost does not decrease over time. You'll still pay the same for all the components, and the hourly labor if you are not the DIY type.
@@Egovangaurd Thanks for the response! I'm going to get it for 27k. Do you think that's too much? A seller imported it from NJ, I don't know Alfa Romeo well enough to know if it's not a good idea. I loved it and I'll use it as my daily driver on my island, the Dominican Republic. How is the maintenance? Or, which parts should I check more carefully?
