Just saw them twice in L.A. The band is on FIRE. On Sunday night they opened with a reworking of Open All Night that brought the house down. Any other band it would be an encore. It's on RUclips if you haven't see it.
The greatest and most sincere band I've ever seen and that's saying a lot for how many acts I've seen live over the last 4+ decades of shows from all genres of bands.
Bruce and E-Street are one of, if not, the best live bands ever. Scientists have confirmed that it is physically impossible to see them and not have a great time. Hard to believe that this was 45 years ago.
This is easily one of the handful of Bruce videos I would recommend to anyone unfamiliar with him or the band. This is rock ‘n’ roll in its purest form. If this (or perhaps Quarter to Three from No Nukes) doesn’t convince you, there’s no hope for you, really.
yup, he expressed it so well, I do not know if you said same, as I understand this song, just this one I would say when he sings shes the one,,,,,,,,, no one has yet to express as he did, sorry do not know if we are saying the same thing, (SHES THE ONE) sometimes more often than not only ONE TRUE SOULMATE, she's the one? no kidding you are right he has a very excellent catalog of music that backs him up, as being for real! may not be for some but then again is for many, dam shes the one!
The fact that you can’t even pay attention to the music and have to bring politics when nobody called for it’s pretty pathetic. It could be probable that his Dutch ancestors might have been Jews though.
I was there against the back wall and he reached us all as if we were in the front row. Fantastic concert. I'd not really heard of him at that time but thought I'd check him and the band out. Lifelong fan since!
Wow Pam, that’s amazing, what was your favourite song there? I’m a 16 year old massive Bruce fan and watching these concerts online fascinates me. My dad brought me to a few Bruce concerts when I was younger but I barely remember. I don’t think concerts will be the same again these days any concert I’m at everyone is too worried about recording it the watching it. Any, amazing concert The Boss will never be beaten!
@@Michael-tf5zc I've been really lucky to have seen the likes of Clapton, The Who, Pink Floyd, Eric Burdon (who was one of Bruce's major influences), but have to say that Bruce's gig was one of the best and to give a 9 minute song at the end of a 90 show was awesome - ROSALITA!!
Just turn it up, lay back close your eyes and you'll find time travel is possible. Especially if you were lucky enough to have witnessed some of these earlier shows and carry the memories. I almost wrote and "still" carry the memories, but realized if you were there the memories will always be with you like a close friend.
Roger Edgerton I went to see Bruce & the E Streeters for the first time in 1988, i was fifteen. The Tunnel Of Love Express tour. Almost 4 hours of pure musical bliss. And then again on the The Rising-tour in 2003, also, like in 1988, in the Feyenoord-stadium. A little shorter than in ‘88 but still f***^k amazing! What i wanna say is, Bruce and his incredible legendary band are amazing always!!!👍👊🏼😃Have a fantastic day!!
@@pamcoates3319 Right? That line always stuck in my head. Now that I'm older I can relate to it even more. Not the biggest Boss fan but he has some fantastic songs. Cheers!
their absolute prime. A machine. the energy, force and power they worked up for this tue and this version is unbeatable. And I'm not the biggest Springsteen fan alive. But I can hear and feel.
This show and his 1980 one in Tempe, Arizona are ALWAYS the two I recommend people watch if they've never experienced Springsteen in his youth. HE'S THE BOSS!
I haven't heard this show in its entirely! Thats B/C i can't get past the opener yet! Between how giddy/young he is and Little Steven's slide I cant get enough! Every weekend when i get home from work i have a night cap and listen to that ! I have a room over the garage that i can crank and nobody seems to hear!! 'Backstreets" is next!! I have a feeling this is gonna be a gift that keeps on giving! Who ever was responsible............ thank u a million times!!!
This is an explosion of Rock and Roll and watching it all of these years later I see so many wonderful images, Bruce in his working man duds and the rest of the band pimped out with hats and suits, Gary Tallant playing his Long Horn Bass, Max pounding the drums in his shades, the camera catching Clarence getting ready for his solo with a smooth shuffle 3:21 , and the whole band rock'n hard. I've always felt that, even though you know this song and are waiting for it, you can never be fully prepared for when it hits you in the face. It's that devastating.
Man. It’s amazing to think that he was only 26(possibly still 25, depending on the month), first European gig, with something to prove. This Odeon concert is Rock & Roll gold……& Miami Steve already looking ready for the Sopranos in those ridiculously groovy pimp threads….🤣🙏🎶😎
To think, Bruce said in his book he thought this performance was awful until he watched the video back in 2004. This is one of my favorite shows. The BTR tour might be my favorite tour. Darkness was legendary. And BITUSA.. Alright well they were all awesome. This is great seeing the core E street band jam. Wish there were more from 75. I'd love to see his show at the Roxy or the Bottom Line. Great shows. Love it Bruce. Thank you!
@Jesús St James I'm also a jersey native. I'm in Flemington. I heard about it but was unable to make it. I wish I was able to. I want to get to Freehold to see what they have on display. Thank you for sharing.
How about a little euphoric recall y'all! This is as good as it gets for a live concert. Great sound quality - how about the piano and sax and u-huh. Put your headphones on, tune up and Rock On for the 70's!
Great concert. Bruce and the band really killin' it, and Bruce is having fun. But a lot of work went into this. I heard Max interviewed on NPR a few years back and he spoke of how he got the gig as Bruce's drummer (answered an ad that said "no Ginger Baker's," and of course everyone but Max did their Ginger Baker ego-trip). Then he went on to talk about the work in practice/rehearsal to have everything perfect, and then get into a show and Bruce calls a song they've never rehearsed! Great, great stuff.
José Guadalupe García I've been a fan longer than you been alive and if you like this dig a bit deeper and you'll find so much to ❤️ about Bruce and E Street.🎼💖🇦🇺💖🇺🇸💋💋🕺🏻💃🎸🎆
everything about this is bliss. long one of my favorites by them, this version, to me, is the best. so happy to be able to view this over and over. rock and roll doesn't get any better.
I was there 2nd row, wow is all I could say. Great memory. I remember Bruce didn’t want it to end and the band eventually carried him off the stage after many encores.
I've been enjoying the studio version now for 48 years. Maybe I've heard this version once before, maybe not. However, live, this is simply incredible.
It is amazing it took them as long as it did to go huge globally. On a given night, there are only a handful of other acts that are in the same league live. The Who, Skynrd, Allmans, Van Halen, etc. Good luck for us Jersey Shore locals who got to enjoy some of the best music ever performed right in our backyard.
I have seen Bruce from the pit in front of 50,000 people. I also saw him on Broadway in front of "only" 1,000 people on my birthday. I own all of his albums and EPs, save Live in Dublin, Western Stars, The Ties That Bind box set, and maybe another live one. I have an uncle who was doing a lot of the PR for Sony Music in the 70s. (Bruce's label his entire career has been Columbia and Sony Music is Columbia's parent company). He had the opportunity to be at this show and the after party in London. with the band. This show happened on Nov 18, 1975. On the week of Oct 27, 1975 Springsteen was on the cover of both Time and Newsweek. At the after party my uncle had Bruce sign both of those covers, and he gifted both to me for Christmas 2019. At my next Bruce show, maybe I'll try to get close enough to have him sign them again 45 years after.
This video was a key reason I bought this album on vinyl. It was a limited release a few years ago. The whole album was well mixed and pressed. Was the almost $70 worth it? Yes. I just wish I had bigger speakers to play it louder.
This is Bruce. This is why he's The Boss.
Max is a monster on those drums wow his timing and ear is insane can't wait too see all yall April 15th 2024 Albany NY!

Bruce and E-Street are one of, if not, the best live bands ever. Scientists have confirmed that it is physically impossible to see them and not have a great time. Hard to believe that this was 45 years ago.
Well, you can't argue with science! :)
I'm a scientist and I approve this message. 😁

What is truly amazing is that he is still going strong today and is giving 3hour shows
The pure joy when Bruce looks at Clarence during his solo 😊
Oh to be that young again almost 70 never gets old miss Clarence and danny
Quite possibly the coolest version of any song I have ever seen.
They look so young.
Everyone sharply dressed except Bruce and Max who look like they were rousted from their storage unit home the morning of the concert, love it.
Well Bruce did just crawl under the stage during Spirit in the Night.... ;)
This is the best video on RUclips
And this is why his music used to be referred to as Bruce Juice👏👏

I got to see Clarence in one of his later shows in Novato, CA in 1991 - major sax player and much missed
