He took a 58 second shift with a little over 5 minutes left, left the ice for a minute or so, and then played literally the entire last 3:33 of the third period.

Unless the Leafs play a team who are weakened by key injuries (Tampa Bay last year), they can't keep playing backup goalies against some of the best starting goalies in the League that are on the rosters of the top teams in their division. Toronto had plenty of chances and if they scored on any of the opportunities they got from the refs, Boston could be claiming the same logic-less argument. A penalty is a penalty, what happens afterwards can make a call or non-call more frustrating, but you can’t argue that the result should change the call just because you don’t like the result. Leafs didn’t score. Unfortunate for them, doesn’t make it less fair just because the Bruins did.

Let's not pretend that the Leafs weren't called for high sticking a few times either...
They were 0-6 on the PP...can't really complain about calls if you're going O-fer with the man advantage

Blaming the refs is a miss. Each team got away with stuff. Leafs got more PPs. Sammy awful GA, completely abandoned Marchand & nobody guarding Debrusk & putrid special teams are why TOR lost.

Steve….you can not call Mcavoy flopping on John Tavares and NOT call Bertuzzi flopping on Marchand. I get it looked worse, but if you actually watch that replay, Bertuzzi 100% dives to get a call. Thats why it wasnt called.

It's not the number of calls it's the timing of the calls/ missed calls. Yes the leafs got away with some too and Yes, you wanna let the teams play but there are limits. Have a level of Consistency is all I ask. There's so many calls because players don't know one min to the next what is deemed a penalty and what isn't. There is ZERO Accountability for the refs. Good or Bad there is just NOTHING

This video could be 15 seconds if you really wanted to. All you have to say is boston has defense and goaltending toronto has absolutely fucking shit goaltending and a non playoff caliber defense. Reilly lybushkin ? Liligren Edmundson? McCabe beniot? 6 guys who couldn't score in an empty net and can't move the puck out of the zone. What the fuck was Liligren doing behind the net getting stripped by fredric. So soft do like sandin and get lost I'd rather have Marlies defenseman Marshall rifi playing in the playoffs than a tool emotionless fuck like Liligren

When you’re begging for offsetting calls to stop the play to thus take away a goal, you know you’ve lost the plot. No, there shouldn’t have been offsetting minors lol, it’s the playoffs, not the preseason.
