I did too. I remember when my local OHL team made it far into the playoffs and lost in came 7 I was about his age and tears started coming down. I know how that kid was feeling because I was that kid😂
Interesting tidbit regarding the Rangers last night... only 2 other Rangers have scored a hat trick in 1 period in the playoffs. Wayne Gretzky in 1997 and the famous Messier guarantee in 94. That's some impressive company there!
You cannot leave your feet for a hit. nterpretation 1 Rule 7.4 (a) For the purpose of this rule, a “jumping” action will be defined as when a player’s feet leave the ice prior to making body contact with their opponent. If a player’s feet come off the ice after contact is made with their opponent, during an otherwise legal check, this will NOT be considered a Charging penalty because the player’s skates were on the ice at the time of body contact
The Canes goalie was not playing at playoff levels, and only won when the team kept quality NY shots at a minimum. You didn't show that crazy dive before the tying powerplay goal, though. That was shocking to watch and probably deserves to be shown. The way late response to the hit was embarrassing and should not be encouraged in hockey. Would the game have gone differently? Perhaps, perhaps not. Anderson finds a way to let bad ones in regardless.
I’m a Canes fan. It was a heartbreak for us to choke that bad, and me and my friend watched the game at home, just to watch Kreider to become himothy. My friend plays hockey, and he said he knows the kid who was crying. Next year we will get the Rangers
From a hurricanes fan last night was brutal. Still feeling that loss today. Thing that destroys me is Kotchetkov was so underutilized, not sure why Andersen was choking so hard when he played really pretty good during the normal season, but I’m absolutely stunned PK wasn’t subbed in apart from game 3
To be honest, if I was a Canes fan I'd cry to. They ran circles around Florida last year, yet got stomped because of Bob. Now, they pretty much outplayed NY every game yet still lose. It's gotta be tough because even if you point that out, results are all that matter, no one cares who played better, only who won.
Rangers have played like garbage all year to the President's Trophy, hopefully their garbage play continues, it's strange but the outcome is what matters
@@tombladeAh yes. Lucky that the rangers had a franchise record setting season, one of the league leaders in comebacks wins all season, won the presidents trophy, went 7-0 to start the playoffs and eliminated the cup favorite hurricanes. Wow how “lucky”
@@johnlimpkinplayed like garbage all year? They went 18-4-1 to start the season had a bad stretch of going 11-12-2 and then finished the season 26-7-1 but sure they’ve been “garbage all season”
The thing is though, the canes style of play gives the illusion of outplaying their opponent. But the canes had 13:36 more minutes of offensive zone time and 67 more shots than the rangers, and still had just about the same slot shots and expected goals as the rangers. The canes style is trying to suffocate with offense and pepper goalies with low danger low % shots. I’m sorry but going 2/21 on the powerplay while giving up 2 SHG, blowing two 2 goal leads in 2 games and and getting heavily outmatched on special teams and goaltending, it’s hard to sit there and say “yea the canes outplayed the rangers the majority of that series”
I think we can all relate to that kid that was crying. We all invest alot of our time and emotions into these teams and its always hard to deal with the defeat. Hopefully one day he can see the payoff
God, I love hockey. Carolina fought for their lives in game 6, was a fantastic game for the Canes, even harder comeback for the Rangers. Huge Respect to both teams, Hurricanes once again proving their "Never say die" Attitude, can't wait for em next season. Meanwhile, CANUCKS TAKE GAME 5!!! Now I'll keep saying this, I'm a Toronto guy turned Canucks enjoyer, but I could take either Canucks or Oilers moving to the west finals. At the end of the day, it's about bringing the cup home, back North of the border, THE WHOLE COUNTRY needs it, bad. Doesn't matter if you're a Leafs fan, Sens, Habs, or Jets too. These Canucks an Oilers are laying it ALL on the line to go ahead, and I'm having a blast. While I'm hoping my boys in Blue 'n Green can wrap it up tomorrow as an early birthday wish, I could take the Oilers moving on as well. Wishing these Canadian teams the best, BRING IT HOME, BOYS!!! Dallas and Colorado I haven't been watching, nor Boston V Florida, but I'll watch those games tonight, Mainly because I wanna see Bruins and the Panthers go to WAR again like game 2, lmfao. Overall, good Hockey all around. this has got me amped up, Only things I'm missing is my San Jose sharks or Detroit Red Wings and the Playoffs for me would be PERFECT. On the contrary, What a shock it would be, that this new Utah team makes the Playoffs next season? Yeah, no idea who's playing for em, but would be crazy. Alrighty, enough of my Yapping, XD. GO CANUCKS GO!!!
Man I feel terrible for that poor kid. I know that feeling well. Not only was he devastated last night, now he’s become a meme. It would be cool if the Canes could find him and throw him some autographs or tickets or something. I know he wasn’t the only fan who was upset, but man that’s rough to see. Go Rangers!
with how my luck goes i thought FOR SURE Rangers were gonna choke away that 3-0 series lead and lose the whole damn thing in 7. last night was a huge relief.
There’s a reason it’s only ever been done four times. Off the top of my head, the Leafs did it in the final against the Red Wings in like 42 or smth, I think the Pens did it in like the 70s? And more recently, the Flyers in 2010 and the Kings in 2014. Half of those teams went on to win the cup that year - the Leafs, obviously, since they did it IN the final, and the Kings in 2014 - and while I’m not sure what happened with the one from the 70s I do know that the Flyers went to the final in 2010. It’s extremely hard to do. And only the absolute best of the best can pull it off. Even if a team is known for choking it’s still incredibly difficult to blow a 3-0 series lead.
@@xlr0gd205 Like I said I wasn't sure which team it was that came back from down 3-0 in that era, just that a team did it. Even still, 3/4 of the teams that came back from down 3-0 DID advance to the final and 2/4 won the cup. That's a pretty good track record for the teams that can complete such a comeback.

This Edmonton v nuck game has my heart, head and soul hurting. Everytime a team wins it's a steal and you can point out at LEAST two or three puck luck goals going in on Edmonton and one or two going in on the nucks. Praying Edmonton can level their head and handle Vancouver siting up their play from passive to aggressive.

One of the more satisfying playoffs so far with depth scoring and 4th line prowess. Seeing that crucial effort from non stars and players with less hype make it a more memorable storyline. Huge upsets with Carolina, Colorado, and to a lesser extent Boston who seemed to be rolling with success.
Carolina playing hyper aggressive on the penalty kill leaving kreider wide open in front of the net just shows that you have to adapt to the team you're playing against if you want to win a series. Their penalty kill was elite in the regular season but that method clearly wasnt the way to go against the rangers
It’s good when preventing the PP from establishing control in the offensive zone… but if they do you need to adjust and the canes simply didn’t do that

My NHL bracket at the start of the playoffs had Winnipeg vs Vancouver and NY Rangers vs Florida in the Conference Finals. Obviously the Jets are long gone, but I feel good about Dallas taking the Central crown and facing the Canucks in the WCF, and my East pick still stands... GO CANUCKS GO
The officiating (in all of the games) is so bad that I almost feel like it is rigged, there is no way that some of these calls are legit, under any circumstances. Are the refs are paid off / taking orders from above?
Have you ever officiated? I have. You as a viewer in the stands or on TV have the benefit of watching the game in its entirety with a wide view. When your officiating you're pretty much glued to the puck. Things behind the play get missed, even during puck possession things might get missed just from the angle we see on the ice. Hockey is fast sometimes things get missed
I see that you're retroactively adjusting the titles so kudos for that, but that's why a lot of us suggested having proper titles in the first place. Good recap of the series last couple days, breakdowns within them are always the best part. It'd be cool if you expanded the video range a bit so it covers 2 games within 1 series in one video, so you can analyze how momentum changes game to game.
The canes game…. I’m not sad we lost. The rangers are a good team. We were loosing the series 3-0 and we made it a series and I actually believed we had a chance. A legitimate chance. I hate that we lost to them bc I just can’t stand their fans. HOWEVER I am very upset for the way we lost. Third period collapse at home and a natural hat trick. Just ugh.
Why the fan hate? We were excited to play the Canes, it was a good fight and I have nothing but respect for them. I always hear "X fans are the worst!" but like, do you actually know Rangers fans or just base it off of terminally online dudes who lost the kids in the divorce?

Really appreciate that you're teaching the game to newcomers who might not understand what's going on/ strategy. Really smart way of explaining the game
I felt so bad for that kid. Ranger fans know pain all too well.
I did too. I remember when my local OHL team made it far into the playoffs and lost in came 7 I was about his age and tears started coming down. I know how that kid was feeling because I was that kid😂
All too well, Rangers fan for over 50 years. So many tears as a kid.
As a rangers fan, idc what anyone says, the canes played a hell of a series. I thought they were gonna come back tbh.
Brings me to tears too and im a 40 year old man.
You are NOT speaking for everyone when you say we want 7 from this Canucks series. Please just let my boys close it out in 6 😭
You missed the part where Kreider gave his hat trick stick to a young Hurricanes fan. Dude is my favourite Ranger without a doubt, so much class.
I mean karma to the Canes for posting “CRY” on twitter
Lmao
@@luckytoad3945not to mention they posted “They’re so mad”, as well. 😂😅
@@a17yearoldonyoutubeluigiIk 😂😂😂 canes suck

Interesting tidbit regarding the Rangers last night... only 2 other Rangers have scored a hat trick in 1 period in the playoffs. Wayne Gretzky in 1997 and the famous Messier guarantee in 94. That's some impressive company there!
Your breakdowns are so good. Thank you for the great content.
Ugh that “charging” is almost as bad as that non goalie interference call. Like what are the refs actually blind?
You cannot leave your feet for a hit.
nterpretation 1
Rule 7.4 (a)
For the purpose of this rule, a “jumping” action will be defined as when a player’s feet leave the ice prior to making body contact with their opponent. If a player’s feet come off the ice after contact is made with their opponent, during an otherwise legal check, this will NOT be considered a Charging penalty because the player’s skates were on the ice at the time of body contact
The cardiac canucks
The Canes goalie was not playing at playoff levels, and only won when the team kept quality NY shots at a minimum. You didn't show that crazy dive before the tying powerplay goal, though. That was shocking to watch and probably deserves to be shown. The way late response to the hit was embarrassing and should not be encouraged in hockey. Would the game have gone differently? Perhaps, perhaps not. Anderson finds a way to let bad ones in regardless.
Yeah, it really feels like the team is bailing out the goalie. That save though was incredible to watch.
@@ryans3795 basically been the Cane's MO for years now. Lots of guys leave the Canes and are mid as hell. Canes defense is just really, really good.
I mean, the refs missed a delay of game penalty a little earlier that would’ve given the rangers a PP anyway. So I guess it all evens out.
Best NHL youtuber hands down
I’m a Canes fan.
I mean Freddy did the same thing for the Leafs, he's a decent goalie during the season, as soon as the playoffs start he just crumbles
The league is so stacked this year, great to see!
Dallas might have messed up giving the Avs hope. We'll see tonight.
as a kid growing up as a Vancouver fan I know exactly what that feels like to be the Carolina kid.
They were completely outplayed in that last game. Absolutely didn't deserve to win! This kind of luck cannot last for long..
I saw the little boy crying on tv. Rooting for the rangers but still feel terrible for him
JT is not playing golf he is scoreing winning goals for team Canada 🇨🇦 right now 😎🥳
I think we can all relate to that kid that was crying. We all invest alot of our time and emotions into these teams and its always hard to deal with the defeat. Hopefully one day he can see the payoff
Boston fans being mad about Bennett not getting called for penalties is poetic justice for every single game marchand has ever played
exactly what i was thinking lol. karma has come for boston in the form of sam bennett
Bruins haters thinking two wrongs make a right is just wrong.
@@notoriouseagle1074 but in playoff hockey 2 wrongs do make a right

Boston is a good team, just not better than the Panthers. Sorry.
JFC the pita bread reference was top notch. Great chirp
Man I would love to see a Stars Canucks series
RIGHT?! I feel like at least one game would go to 3 or 4 OTs :)
Maybe they can play 4 OT games into July and the Rangers can rest waiting
Man I feel terrible for that poor kid. I know that feeling well. Not only was he devastated last night, now he’s become a meme. It would be cool if the Canes could find him and throw him some autographs or tickets or something. I know he wasn’t the only fan who was upset, but man that’s rough to see. Go Rangers!
I thought I read somewhere that Kreider gave them his stick.
Orlov really just made the biggest throw of this whole playoffs huh
with how my luck goes i thought FOR SURE Rangers were gonna choke away that 3-0 series lead and lose the whole damn thing in 7. last night was a huge relief.
@@aksis2133 Pens didn't come back from that, they blew it to the NYI who lost in the cup semis
Try being from Toronto and a leaf fan….. every year brings me to tears
There’s 13 year old kids in Buffalo that have been crying since the day they were born. Remember kids……it can always be worse, your dad could’ve made you Sabres fans.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are madness...and I'm here for it. LGR!
"The panera bread and pita connection is real"😂😂 how tf do you come up with these lines 😭😭😭
Here in NYC the hosts on two radio stations, ESPN and WFAN, are barely human. They say that the kid to whom Chris Kreider gave his stick, as a Carolina fan, should have returned it, or the parents should have said No thanks. Can you believe it? These hosts are fanboy robots missing any heart. Such a sweet innocent gesture by Kreider gets this kind of response on the sports radio stations. These hosts just got cut down to crappy sizes in my eyes.
Best thing you can do in that case - don’t listen to those stations and don’t buy products from the companies that advertise on those stations.

This Edmonton v nuck game has my heart, head and soul hurting.
Everytime a team wins it's a steal and you can point out at LEAST two or three puck luck goals going in on Edmonton and one or two going in on the nucks.
I'm an Edmonton fan, I honeslty I felt like we needed that win last night to knock out the nucks. Praying Edmonton can level their head and handle Vancouver siting up their play from passive to aggressive.
I don't know.. I'm a Canucks fan and feel like you guys are going to come out HARD tomorrow. Regardless, it's been a great series. I love our rivalry and either way a Canadian team wins so I just hold on to that. I would dearly love my Canucks to close it-- no one thought we'd get this far and I want to see them run with it. Draisaitl though. UGH. I hate how good he is :) I get anxious every time he or Hyman are on the ice.
@@SilverityI'm not really a fan of either but I'm rooting for the Oilers in this series. I'll be honest, Vancouver has this series. Whoever won last night's game wins the series. Either way I'm rooting for a Canadian team to win the cup so at least it's a garentee one Canadian team gets to go to the conference finals. This series has been wild, one of the best series I've seen in a long time, and action packed hockey, not one boring game or even a boring shift. Nailbiter games from start to finish.
@@Silverity we'll probably come out hard tomorow but if we keep going 1 for 1 as we have, the team with the first win is likely to win.

As a rangers fan, Glad we survived ❤️💙. Saw the thumbnail kid crying on tv. Feel so bad for him😭. That was like me when the Rochester Americans lost against the Crunch.
Uh...just take the opposite of what actually happened and plug in facts into your last sentence...makes sense Scott Steven's lol
Thank you for changing the thumbnail. I felt bad for the little guy 😭

15:34 I mean, Pettersson did jump before contact, didn't he? How is that a bad call?
That rule is for hitters jumping into people
He wasn’t throwing a hit and he didn’t jump into anybody

Rule 7.4 (a)

As terrible as the officiating has been, under this interpretation they could have seen it as a charge

Canuck fans “first time?”
Petterson was amazing in the Nucks game. His awakening is what gave us that win
I’m sure someone has already pointed this out but Bennett had the game-tying goal in game 4, not GWG
Gotta love the bias, not a single mention of what “could’ve easily been called goalie interference” on Bobby with the double contact. 😂 it’s all good.
Omg you should have seen our team lose in game 6 and 7 in 2004 we shed a lot of tears that year plus a no goal in game 6
All canes fans did was cry about the refs when they lost. Be better next time, hold the L and don't be mad the rangers have a diehard fan base
@@NakedOwl501 I do know rangers fans. The transplant fans from NY in NC is just brutal. They are typically very rude and ignorant about the game. “That wasn’t dirty.” Or “how is this ago not banned for life for kneeing trouba”.
