- Scorpion Fighting Styles! Find out how many fighting styles Scorpion knows in Mortal Kombat 1!
I've already analyzed Scorpion vs Sub-Zero on Fight Scene Breakdown, now this in depth extensive analysis has every single move Scorpion demonstrates in the game Mortal Kombat, also known as Mortal Kombat 9, prequel to Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11 and not part of the Mortal Kombat 1 timeline. Whether you want to learn more about Scorpion's fighting style, or about real world martial arts like Hapkido and Ninjutsu, this is the perfect video for you. Brought to you by the same guy who did the How many fighting styles does Nathan Drake know as well as how many fighting styles does Solid Snake know. Subscribe for more!

For April Fool's you could do Shang Tsung and just list every fighting style known to man on the screen.
😂
Michael Terrell II that’s why it would be funny
Michael Terrell II how many can be oversimplified using umbrella-terms ?
just a 14 hour livestream
With that being said Batman knows every fighting style known to man
Can you analyse Wei Shen from sleeping dogs?
Good idea
That'd be great :)
And Geralt of Rivia as well.
Whoa...that'll be dope
Derp lololol Wei Shen should be interesting. Will Yun Lee (the actor that portrayed him)’s father was a taekwondo grandmaster
I remember Scorpion using Hapkido in 3d era. Hapkido looks like mix of taekwondo with aikido, variety of kicks plus wrist locks etc. I miss 3d era styles attached to characters. Another great video, I hope to see some other MK characters in the future:)
I do plan on analyzing more! And Hapkido has always interested me, but I can't find a good place that teaches it. Most are Taekwondo schools that also teach Hapkido, but that makes me suspicious that you're not getting the real thing.
The 3d era scorpion was my favorire. Hapkido had the best combos that did major damage and the sword he had complimented his fighting style, also all his fatalities in MK Deception were badass.
@@Danny-cy7tl i also liked his 2nd style in DA, Pi Gua. Thanks to 3d MK, i learned something new about martial arts. I trained few styles and i still seek to learn more :)
@@Godzillarex will you really analyze deception scorpion Hapkido? I remember being intrigued by scorpion’s hand waving movements
Haven't even watched yet, don't need too, just immediately hit Like 👍
Sub-zero and Johnny Cage next please!
Haha, glad you enjoyed the video! I'll add them to the list of suggested characters
@@Godzillarex and why stop there? Keep each character going by doing their fight styles for MKX and 11!
Godzillarex Do their MK11 styles
@@Godzillarex can u try to do Deckard Shaw?
Yeah we need to know what Johnny Cage used
Wow, watching this made me realize how much MK influenced me growing up. I wanted to take ninjutsu, but I thought I should learn an easier martial art first, and I chose hapkido lol (definitely not easy). Apparently, I've just always wanted to be Scorpion.
Very cool!
Scorpion is one of my all time favorites, and I am so glad you made a video about him. Thank You ☺️
You're welcome! He is one of my favorite characters too
Scorpion in MK9 is great at mix ups Scorpion in MKX is great at the footsie game
in MK11 he is great at safe attacks
I thanked Netherrealm Studios for everything they did for their games.
@@Godzillarex sup Adrian big fan of your RUclips videos I'm just wondering since you did scorpion can you do sub zero or other mortal kombat characters
How the world this was posted 3 year's ago but 2023 scorpion is there!??!?!
Time travel!
Ex fuckin xactly
@@Godzillarexyou god damn wizard
I feel like I'm not the only one who would love to see you cover the character of Yuri Boyka from the movies Undisputed 2, Undisputed 3, and Boyka: Undisputed.
Tony Shad123 we need that, NOW
been saying that for years
I'd love too man, but the studio behind that series demonetizes my videos. As it's been suggested, just look up Scott Adkins background on martial arts.
Godzillarex okay good point, but it’s much more fun when you do the debriefing. Also the RUclips algorithm sucks
As a black belt in taekwondo, I felt really special when I was able to perfectly understand and recognize everything he was saying
Bruh can you please do Rock Lee or Might Guy? They're the shonen epitome of "Hand to Hand"
Yeah, I Would Like To See That One As Well, But I Guess It's Gonna Be Hard To Go Through 500+ Episodes Of Naruto & Shippuden. That's Assuming Adrian Hasn't Seen Them Yet To Know Which Episodes They Show Up In.
They only really know Taijutsu
@@jewfukaninja taijutsu means hand to hand it's not a style
Brian Velarde Taijutsu is literally a real fighting style dumbass

Fuck you bad meme
Michael Portillo *roadhouse
I mean he shows some tough stuff in the chicken fight to be honest lol
I didn’t know I needed this until I saw that title
That ending transition was a flawless victory. Well done.
I would've loved you to include mortal kombat X, and 11 scorpion moves. Even though they're different games, it's the same scorpion. But still great video as always! 👍
His style does change though. But I can always revisit his character in another video!
Godzillarex, Scorpion’s fighting style in MKX and MK11 only changes if you change you the default costume settings in those games to change the fighting styles that were the same in every Mortal Kombat whereas other Mortal Kombat channels over the years have always had their fighting styles changed constantly like Subzero, NOOB, Reptile, Smoke, etc etc no matter what costume settings you set for those characters.
Just want all those fighting styles to GET OVER HERE!!!
Finally, a video detailing Scorpion's fighting style. I've been looking for months and never found a good video.
If you're interested, I also analyzed their fight in Mortal Kombat X! It's on the Fight Scene Breakdown playlist.
@@Godzillarex I'll look into it. Thanks.
Scorpion was a fun choice! And seeing as how next month he’s getting his own movie it’s safe to say that this characters getting a lot of love this year.
How many fighting styles does Kung Lao know from mortal Kombat?
Fiazah Ali Southern praying mantis
Wing chun
How many fighting styles does Kung Lao know?
Kung Lao: *yes*
wing chun
Mantis in 3D later on Switched To Wing Chun in MK9-11
Okay okay
1:I think I feel stupid right now because I'm actually think that scorpion only knows ninjutsu since he was raised by a ninja clan but turns out just more than ninjutsu
2:since you're counting down scorpion, can you do sub zero next?
I was about to say that.
Ninjutsu is mostly fictional
@@samuraijones439 really?
I mean ninja in the past is real so how is ninjutsu is mostly fiction?(just asking)
@@samuraijones439 How it's shown in Naruto, yes. In real life it's the art of spying and sneaking
Awsome video love ur channel Bro!
This came put 3 years ago and you have kuai liang scorpion as the thumbnail 🔥
It works!
You sir, just earned yourself a new subscriber! Keep it up, brotha man. Lookin’ forward to your next video. 🤙🏼👌🏼
Welcome to the channel! I highly suggest watching my other videos on Smash Bros Snake and Arkham Batman if you enjoyed this one
Love the video love the character great way to start the morning
Thanks for watching man!
Believe me it’s my pleasure
How many fighting styles does Ras' Al Gul know?
Love the channel
Great video as always. My day sucked, but when I saw the notification for your video, my day brightened considerably. I love martial arts, and the Mortal Kombat game. Sadly, I play the latter, about as well as I practice the former, but that doesn't dampen my enthusiasm, so thanks. I look forward to the next video.
Thanks for watching man! Glad I could make a difference.
You need to do Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza series, probably 0 since it would be best suited
Freedom costs Tax I agree on Kiryu, but I think his OG dragon style from 3-5 and his Y6/K2 dragon styles are my favorites, especially the OG jab, uppercut, hammerfist combo
Kinography 1994 I’m thinking Yakuza 0 because Brawler, Beast and Rush each represent a specific part of the Dragon style. Dragon style is almost as fast as Rush and is inspired sort of inspired by Akiyama, almost as strong Beast which is obviously inspired by Saejima. Then Brawler is pretty much an unrefined Dragon style. Then of course you have the Dragon style itself, there’s more than enough to analyse with 0. The same can be said for Majima as well when he has the same variety of fighting styles as Kiryu.
Please do Kazuma Kiryu
I've recommended this already he said that the fighting may have been too robotic for his taste at the time maybe he changed his mind and if he did that would be awesome majima is a good character to
I always can't wait to see more of these videos, but I'm hopping you continue the analycal story battles. I wonder what story you come up with these characters
Would be interesting to see Ohma Tokita and Baki Hanma Fighting styles too
Great video! :) Do how many fighting styles does Liu Kang know next.
With Mk1 releasing soon you should do another scorpion subzero video.
Dayummm this video's awesometacular I've been watching these so much I've managed to learn a thing or two and the editing is pretty good keep it up man! 👍 I'm really curious how many fighting styles sub zero has tho
Thanks Roach! I really appreciate that, glad you're picking up on concepts as well. Sub Zero is my brothers favorite character in the series, so I of course will be analyzing him as well!
I already knew that scorpion knows hapkido, friend of mine does it and when I played mortal kombat with him he told me about scorpions fighting style.
How many fighting styles does Aquaman know in DCEU?
This would be interesting. I'm halfway expecting Aquaman to know some Lua.
Uh...Water
None...
DCEU aquaman is just a brawler.
with the trident he has more skill tho.
Maybe "Ancient European Martial Arts"? That fighting style was given to Thor and Optimus Prime for using a hammer and sword/shield in previous videos. I dunno how much a trident would qualify though.
Thanks for making this scorpion is one of my favorite characters
Thanks for watching it! Share the video if you get the chance!
If you truly cross train in multiple disciplines, you'll start naturally blending them together. Purists hate it for some reason despite it making you more more versatile. You'll only use techniques that feel most natural to you.
Great video! Here are some suggestions:
MCU: Crossbones, Iron Fist, Falcon, Bushmaster, Antman, Erik Killmonger, and Bullseye.
Movies: Connor Macleod (Highlander), Eric Draven (The Crow), Beatrix Kiddo (Kill Bill), John Rambo (Rambo films), Martin Riggs (Lethal Weapon), The Shredder (TMNT 90's or 2014 film), Rorschach (Watchmen), and V (V for Vendetta).
Video Games: Gray Fox (Metal Gear Solid), Link (Legend of Zelda series), The Spy (Team Fortress 2), and Vega (Street Fighter).
I know this is stupid but how many styles does “kung fu” panda have
One. Kung Fu. It's in the title haha
@@Godzillarex 😂🤣😭
He probably uses something akin to Bear, and he's cross-trained with the other animals too.
Isn’t Kung Fu an umbrella term for Chinese martial arts in general?
The animals represent different animal styles in Kung fu. Also they represent wushu and ninjitsu in Kung fu panda.
Are you gonna do other fighters of MK saga? Or even do other videogame of the saga, example Scorpion in MKX and later MK11? Its a really interesting topic!!!
I plan on it!
Solid vid (Hopefully we can get some vids for the rest of the MK cast)
Woow I really love this video! Never thought of analizing any character from MK like this although I'm very interested in self defense and martial arts :D I'd love to see a video from you about Stryker, who is my favorite character from Mortal Kombat IX (And i wish you could base it on that game just like you did with Scorpion). Gained a subscriber! Good luck with new videos bro! :D
You do an incredible job with these videos great job. For a request do you think you could possibly do Iron fist
Since we have scorpion it's only fair to have sub-zero next.
Been training taekwondo since I was 5 (19 now) and done one year hapkido on the side. I approve of this video 👌
Scorpion is (one of) the best MK characters :) :D
He's awesome!
Really good video, new sub!
I hope you can do one about Jin Kazama.
Great Video @godzillarex! I shall watch the others that you have! When you have time I would like to see Fighting Styles for Liu Kang, Princess Kitana, Sub-Zero, Deadpool, The Punisher, and Wolverine.
Thanks! I already analyzed The Punisher, both in Fighting Styles and Fighting Skills. You can check them out on the playlist in the description
With the Resident Evil 3 remake on it's way, I would love a Wesker video.
Cool username and profile pic man! I'm a big Venom fan as well.
@@Godzillarex Thank you! :)
You should do Joel from the last of us since the sequel is coming out soon
Yes, as said by others, his fighting style consists of a few simple punches, and mainly slamming people against walls or furniture or whatever is currently in his hand.
Leon Adrian spoke on this multiple times. He will NOT do one for Joel since the guy is just a brawler with a bit of boxing who typically resorts to slamming enemies with blunt objects. That wouldn’t be much of a video.
@Grave Fire1277 what ew?
I’d be interested in seeing a video breaking down the duel of fates from the phantom menace, it’s really the only major lightsaber duel you haven’t covered. Not only on the choreography but the editing and pacing. Honestly it’s my favorite lightsaber duel in the franchise. I love how in addition to the swordplay and occasional force powers they really threw in hand to hand combat. Quigon uses an elbow/back fist combination and obi wan uses a devastating side kick to maul. And of course, Maul doing side kicks, a back kick, a jump side kick, a spinning back kick, and even a front kick( when Quigon knocks him to the ground and Maul kicks him to recover) except for a push kick and a round house he used just about every practical kicking combination in the fight .
It's my second favorite fight for sure, first being Obi Wan vs Anakin. That's pretty much the reason I got on board with the prequels as a kid haha.
11:40
Damn, that neck snap Scorpion had. I'd recommend a nice chiropractor.
Hi Adrian, excellent video as always. Could you please do a video about Snake Eyes or Storm Shadow from G.I Joe?
Man could've go back to Mortal Kombat Deception where you have that fighting style , instead he started to analyze it .
Nice job man
Hey Adrian. Next time, try analyzing Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat games, please?
I think you should do one on Ansatsuken, the fighting style from Street Fighter. I definitely wanna see where the moves from Ryu, Ken, and all the other shoto fighters come from.
How about How many fighting styles does Yuri Boyka know in Undisputed?
Now you should definitely make a video about Sub-Zero too.
The sidekick is one of the most powerful kicks in martial arts
You did a brilliant job, Adrian! I think you should analyze Liu Kang next.
Appreciate that! Thank you. I'll add him to the list of suggested characters.
@@Godzillarex Also, I think Johnny Cage, is familiar with Karate, Taekwondo, Muy Thai, Kickboxing, and Boxing. Those are the ones I noticed, when I see him fighting in Mortal Kombat. I'm pretty sure they're more, but, I'm pretty sure you know what the rest of them are. Anyway, keep up the good work! You're awesome, Adrian!
Yyeeaahh! The Rope Dart! Ha ha! So glad to see you mention it!
Maybe Because of this video you can an analytical story battle with Scorpion
Ed Boon would be so proud if he saw this.
Not sure if you ever watched this show, but could you do one of these for Michael Westen from Burn Notice?
It's a fun show! But I can't really analyze it, it's one of those studios that likes to demonetize videos.
This Character is one of my Favorites
Do Sub-Zero next.
Can't wait to see subzero's video
Can you do AQUAMAN from the recent aquaman movie
Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza Series would really interesting.
Cool video. This is definitely the best version of Intonjutsu we've seen yet.
How many fighting styles does Chuck Norris know? - All!
Karate, Brazilian jiujitsu, judo, and wrestling
Boxing_Kickboxing_Tae Kwon Do_Tang Soo Do_Judo_Machado Jujitsu
And his personal system Chun kuk Do which is base on Jkd_Kenpo_and the 5 systems I mention
Awesome video
Bro I main scorpion and people call me a baby and cry about it because I kick their ass but I love him.
Pretty cool analysis!
Who else remembers Hapkido? Scorpion's first fighting stance from Deadly Allience through Armageddon 👌
Not forgetting his use of Shout-Fu (a.k.a. Yellkido), with the classic GetOverHere move 🤪
please make ryu from street fighter fighting style
Please do the Power Rangers
Dude, I want u to analyze the fighting styles of my another favorite combatant Smoke.
I would love to see you do Arkham Catwoman next. Catwoman's martial arts skills need more love.
Great breakdown.
Appreciate it man! Share it if you can!
@@Godzillarex You're welcome, keep it up.
I liked these videos a lot I've watched for years but i only subscribed recently and i would really enjoy a video for harley quinn
Thanks for subscribing! I already analyzed her in two videos! Just check my Fight Scene Breakdown playlist
Lockdown from Transformers would be a great character to analyse now that we are under lockdown
Would ya be willing to do an analysis of any of the fights from Kingsman? Perhaps the Whiskey fight at the end of Golden Circle? Thanks in advance. Love your videos. Keep it up :)
Do the metal gear solid "Gray fox cyborg ninja" please.
I like his snake dart from the 90s film better than his chain dart. It just look more scary when you imagine fighting him.
I think so too. I think it goes along well with the whole supernatural ninja theme.
How many fighting style does cammy or chun li from street fighter series. I am waiting.
Great job. How many fighting styles does agent 47 know
All of them (idk he a machine either way)
You should definitely do one for MK’s champion Liu Kang. I’m definitely not biased or anything.
Forward 4 If I had to guess, the guy probably uses Shaolin Kung Fu with some Jeet Kune Do in there
How about Kitana? It will be interesting to know!
I would love a video about how many fighting styles does Guyver knows in "Guyver: Dark Hero"
Can you do a how many fighting styles does Beck from Tron: Uprising know? It's a good series with a lot of choreographed fights and I would love to see you break it down.
Agent 47 Fighting Styles
Do about Sub Zero too
Can you do Wade Shen from Sleeping Dogs
Analyzing his moves is no problem! The game incorporates and list's everything. Including which fighting style you want him to study.
Scorpion is my favorite character in MK. Hapkido runs in my family and love using all the kick combos in the game that i grew up learning. 🙏🏽
Very cool!
Amazing video
What about Liu Kang ir Kung Lao for the next MK video?
Maybe look at Jago from the Killer instinct reboot, just curious to see how authentic his fighting style is compared to real world martial arts, seeing how he is a monk.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
