Tamamo still has two things in which nobody beats her 1.- Prevent the enemy from using NP (Much invincibility and whatever you want, but as the NP removes Buff, you are dead) 2.- Reduce the cooldown of skills (And with such powerful skills now in play, this part only increases its value) And we can count a 3rd in case -Loop NP BUT. Of the whole party People forget that not only attackers have NP, Only in this area it has competition with Merlin, the new Arturia of course. And waver, although the latter loses (Only in this area)

Firstly, Tamamo doesn't fully prevent the enemy from NPing, she just stalls them for a turn or two, and not every enemy is Amakusa. Secondly, unless you're stalling for some reason, you could just straight up kill the enemy before they do anything. Stalling is more niche, and almost never a player's first option. Thirdly, this is the entire thing Castoria blows Tama out of the water with. Tamamo will never beat Castoria in this (unless future buff), and she never beat any of the other big 5 even beforehand, simply because her charge is locked behind her NP, whereas every other member of the big 5 (now 6?) has that charge on demand.

Also, on the bright side, this shows that DW is willing to upgrade skills that have already been upgraded, opening up a lot of possibilities.

The cooldown doesn't help his solo cap. But it gives you more wiggle room for guessing incorrectly on when to cast guts. (The meta with Cu is to cast the first guys early so it procs on the final turn so it's almost back and can be used again) The ATK up is the only part that adds to his max value.
Depend on where his health at, Cu can do nearly equal to or much higher damage with his NP compare to Proto Cu's power mod against beast. Nice one DW. Now we really only need one Cu

I am very happy for the FSN Servants. Cu and Herc now actually deal damage, Herc basically has God Hand now, Artoria and Emiya can do sorcery with their facecards and NP cards respectively. The 5th anniv may not be as amazing to me as the 4th but overall it's still fricken amazing.
Yeah but both of them lived so long medium damage was all they needed since dealing 300k damage in turn and blowing up is nothing compared to an average of 110k damage over 11 turns
@@IC-23 Cu and Herc might just be more usable in the longer LB fights that normally needed a full team or more powerful solo options like QSH or nukers like Godjuna to clear.

Is that Tales music I hear? Also, how strong is this buff realistically? I mean, you'd usually pop the skill at the earliest opportunity you get to cut down on the cooldown, not when Doggo's close to zero. I imagine that'd hamper the damage a bit.
20% damage at minimum is still 20% damage, by the time you use guts a second time you're probably at low >4000 HP so I'd imagine the higher damage lets him solo tankier bosses.
Yeah abyss. Green talks about tales of series all the time. He went into a rant on Yuri one time of vesperia being an already realized character compared to the cast and other tales mains. And then something about how phantasia Symphonia and dawn of the new world all connect and have different mains. Realistically this guts is good either way. Used ealry or late it's still a guts and evade combo plus heal adds a lot of variety on the skills.
@@arqueiroXD yeah 20 is a nice basic attack up especially in solos. Now cu can go faster with guts and do more damage meaning the battles last less long. Overall a simple but effective buff.
Damn, this is fucking great for Cú. Still kinda wished they went with how his Athn Gabla skill in his Fate Extra iteration worked where it gave him both attack and defense buffs on top of his guts, but this is honestly better for him seeing as he doesn't need more defense/survivability.
If you think about it, you could take any of Asch's angsty "You took my future" lines, replace Luke with Cu, Asch with Proto Cu and it fits soooo well.
You know up until the very end I didn't think they'd do it. I didn't think they'd buff Cu and Herc, especially cu since herc could get away with a simple damage increase on his NP. But they did it. I can't believe it.
I love tales of the abyss it's my favorite game for a main character. Enemy cast and overall character growth. Some of the beggining stuff would be twists for other games yet it keeps going.
Seeing as how they've been getting rid of a lot of Disengage skills I can't help but wonder what broken skill they'll buff Cu's to. Imagine if it shortened skill cooldown? Irish Hercules deserves it.

Just an FYI, for the fifth anniversary they changed how command codes work. You can now exchange them freely on an opened command card, so feel free to experiment. Thank the gods, command codes were so strict to use before - major quality of life update imo
Cu chulainn got Double immortality and made his Shishou proud. Artoria looked at [Data Lost]'s record for Udon eating and with help from Emiya, broke said record. Emiya worked double time on the kitchen so much, he learned to have better sinergy with his magic circuits and Reality Marble as well. And Heracles, too angry to die already, used some of that new anger from recent developments(Foreigners ruining his day) and destroyed an entire godlike dreadnought, his Sensei was proud. In other news, Mt. Olympus has dissapeared from the map.

Herc's Guts now stacks with other Guts including those from his Bond CE and adds a 5T 20% Buster buff each time one of his Guts is popped. If an enemy kills him every turn for 4 turns, you are looking at an unkillable Berserker with an 80% Buster buff.

I mean, you'd usually pop the skill at the earliest opportunity you get to cut down on the cooldown, not when Doggo's close to zero. I imagine that'd hamper the damage a bit.
20% damage at minimum is still 20% damage, by the time you use guts a second time you're probably at low >4000 HP so I'd imagine the higher damage lets him solo tankier bosses.
Yeah abyss. Green talks about tales of series all the time. He went into a rant on Yuri one time of vesperia being an already realized character compared to the cast and other tales mains. And then something about how phantasia Symphonia and dawn of the new world all connect and have different mains.
Realistically this guts is good either way. Used ealry or late it's still a guts and evade combo plus heal adds a lot of variety on the skills.
The one turn cooldown reduction is already good. This buff actually gives a pretty good 20 attack minimum. It's an pretty good buff
@@arqueiroXD yeah 20 is a nice basic attack up especially in solos. Now cu can go faster with guts and do more damage meaning the battles last less long.
Overall a simple but effective buff.

Damn, this is fucking great for Cú. Still kinda wished they went with how his Athn Gabla skill in his Fate Extra iteration worked where it gave him both attack and defense buffs on top of his guts, but this is honestly better for him seeing as he doesn't need more defense/survivability.
If you think about it, you could take any of Asch's angsty "You took my future" lines, replace Luke with Cu, Asch with Proto Cu and it fits soooo well.

You know up until the very end I didn't think they'd do it. I didn't think they'd buff Cu and Herc, especially cu since herc could get away with a simple damage increase on his NP.

Just an FYI, for the fifth anniversary they changed how command codes work. You can now exchange them freely on an opened command card, so feel free to experiment.
