His legacy for the disabled & the work it detailed will never die. His darling wife Dana who loved Chris so much & stood by him every stretch of the way I'm sure gave him the extra courage & reassurance to carry on. Dana Reeve singer, actor was diagnosed in 2005 with throat cancer though never smoked in her life, Dana died just 17months after Christopher, such tragic endings for the two most beautiful people. @@joey9562 actually, you are right. Around 20 years ago, my aunt, who never smoked in her entire life, went to the Doctor who asked her after seeing her lungs' X-Ray: "do you smoke? have you ever smoked?!". My aunt told him she never in her entire life had never smoked or drunk alcohol. The Doc showed her that her lungs were dark inside just as if she was also a smoker so he asked if somebody smoked near her or if she had a smoker at home. And she had, my cousin who had then started this bad habit -- he was no smoker and after getting a job inside a bank, he started smoking with his colleagues and now he has this bad habit. So, the Doc told my aunt to never allow him around her with cigarettes because that was enough to affect her lungs and health. After that, my cousin stopped smoking inside the house and he would smoke outside or in the garden or far away from his parents. In 2 months my aunt's lungs got back to normal! She is 93 years now... I don't smoke and I don't allow anybody smoking inside my house.

Such immense respect for Christopher Reeves.
I grew up on a horse farm.

I have always been extremely vigilant since then.

Is it necessary to ride horses? To have horse farms where their sole purpose is to be used by humans? What happened to the horses that got too sick or too old? Your farm didn't pay for their well being did it? It would not make the farm financially viable. Imagine if we did the same to dogs

I adored Christopher Reeve, and he was such a wonderful actor before and after his accident. Our world is a sadder place since he passed but at least his best and funniest friend Robin joined him in heaven. This was a pretty good remake of the original and Christopher definitely did Jimmy Stewart justice. I can’t believe though that they subbed Darryl Hanna for Grace Kelly. That’s just wrong! she’s not a bad actress but we should’ve had an outstanding beauty for this part. That’s my two cents ❤❤❤

My comment is not about Christopher Reeve as I think he did a great job in this but about the movie itself. I much prefer the old version because it had something this one doesn't, a great atmosphere. In this one there is a modern square of a building and it uses film music like all modern movies while the old one had different sounds coming from each apartment and wonderful piano music and singing and then there was the buildings themselves that made it all look so cosy and you just wanted to be there. You could also see the street outside through a short alley. I even loved his apartment. I watch it a few times a year.
