Holy cow. This video has finally been produced. I remember agonizing over how to present this tale to an audience, and now it's out. This is a special day for me, and I thank you for making it so.
@@WhyTho525 Oh man, believe you me the moment I saw that you could have heard my roar of joy and hype across the galaxy. It gives me hope that we'll see more of that in the future, and if we get Sangheili as a playable race we'll see the same cybernetic treatments available to our characters in multiplayer
Listening to this, all I can think of is a specific Krogan Engineer on Tuchunka. "How do you think those fools make it to the field to kill each other? Who do you think keeps the Weapons working? Without me there is no battle, only slaughter."
Really good story! A lot of space opera's obsession with making Planets of Hats often ends up ignoring people such as scientists, constructors, workers, doctors, and so on. This is a great insight into an individual that would work as a scientist. With the collapse of the Covenant, I found it especially fascinating how he turned from being despised by the Covenant, to becoming a vital member of his faction. Had he been in the timeline of the short story The Return, he would've gained masses of followers on his own.
That's exactly the intent behind this character when I designed him 14 years ago. To break the mold and give some extra dimensions to the Sangheili. I am honoured by the praise, but honestly Zukimari would probably not end up with that many followers, just due to the fact that he did not parade around his abilities.
Even a warrior culture must understand that it's soldiers, for all their prowess in combat and larger military tactics, are sometimes only as good as the tools they use. The best of tacticians and combatants can be overcome by foes with superior gear. There should always be a love for the sciences, even amongst the most warlike of cultures.
This was my favorite video now when it comes to story and narration. I leaned in as far as I could into my head phones but sadly physics say otherwise 😂 I LOVE THIS
Have to give a like to my favorite mad scientist! Here's to more prosperous adventures into the fields of scientific research! Happy birthday, Shipmaster!
@@a.a.o.t-1213 Where have you read this. If you’re providing that horrifying image to my brain with no proof, i will be haunted by non-canon body horror for the entirety of Halo Infinite.
anyone else like to think that when the date of these vids lines up with the irl date that they have basically discovered a fore runner artifact or something that allows them to send these back in time? XD
Holy Slag this along with the others is apart of my personal head cannon. Not that it wasn’t before of course but more knowledge for legendary Sangheili is most appetizing.
15:06 Is that supposed to be a visual of the Zealots attacking the Sangheili-human mission? Why don’t they wear Reach Zealot armor? And wouldn’t his arm stop bleeding since the plasma cauterizes wounds?
The Halo Reach Zealot armour was for the Fleet of Valiant Prudence, and this particular faction would not have access to those forms of harnesses. As for the arm, it did in fact cauterize but it still felt like his life was bleeding away
@@DrakleStudios Oh ok sorry I missed that part then. I thought he said his arm was bleeding. And ok that makes sense about them not using ceremonial zealot armor. However their color was blue instead of gold. Unless I miss heard and there was only 1 zealot with other Elited.
@@DrakleStudios Ok cool. I thought at first a team of Zealots attacked the UNSC and Swords instead of a Zealot and a team of Minors. Love the Plasma Repeater getting featured alongside the Storm Rifle and the mention of a not finished Concussion Rifle being used to kill those Brutes and San Shyuum. Would love to see an artist rendition of that scene. Would love to see a scene also featuring Brutes with Brute Shots against Elites with Concussion Rifles since both weapons function very similarly

Yeah. If we though that spartans having Cybernetic arms were cool, then imagine playable elites having them!
I like how there just a medkit just on the wall behind Zukimari at the end

REALLY love the mix or appropriate Halo 3 and Reach machinima parts
Same here! Nakai did such a fantastic job in the editing chair!

this was awesome we finally got lore of the mad man himself.

So how do Sangheili make those tongue rolling sounds with no such muscle?
The tongue is a muscle but I see your point.
You see...... *Jumps out the nearest window*

From what I've heard and read, appearantly elites have tongues in the back of their throats.
