When Bill Cook scored that 1 light bulb was so epic
Bill cook died in the city i live in
@@VGKFAN61 samezys
Ikr😂
While it being delayed
The crowd mildly: “hhhheeeeeeyyyyyyy”
When Kane scored the winner for Chicago, no one knew he scored at first, but himself! 😂
Love how the ref was confused too
I'll always remember that moment growing up. Such a generational talent.
That Darren McCarty Wings Goal in ‘97 was fuckin nasty
a career 4th line grinder comes up with a once in a career dangle to win a cup.
Bill Barilko disappeared that summer. He was on a fishing trip. The last goal he ever scored won the Leafs the cup. They didn't win another till 1962. The year he was discovered.
You stole that from a hockey card
@@anovak0726I bet that guy thought he was safe and that no one would know lmao😂
@@anovak0726 Probably the same one he keeps under his fifty-mission cap.
Love the tragically hip reference
Thanks for compiling these game winners!
I just wish they didn’t use hockey night in Canada as I feel like Pierre on NBC is a better announcer
Pierre McGuire you mean? If so, he is up there with Jack Edward’s in terms of bad announcers
@@thecharliejamesofficialyou2574 lmao
I like how the league is so old that people with the first name "toe" played in it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Toe was simply a nickname; Hector was Blake’s first name.
It’s also amazing to see the safety equipment improvements as the years go on the evolution is amazing to see
lol that first goal was so underwhelming.
They won the cup and the crowd goes mild
lol
It was the Great Depression, they were all depressed.
always look forward to this vid every year!
Yes! Thank you for updating. This is a fantastic video and I have watched it countless times. Great work!
ive waited a year for this!! cheers
Man the Stars taking the Cup in 99' will always be one of my favs... Eddie the Eagle and Dominek 'The Dominator's Hasek in net... 50+ saves each... Triple OT 🔥🔥
“Francis beats Hasek like a rented mule” is crazy 😭
Mike Lange, the Penguins play-by-play man. Great calls he made over the years.
I appreciate the use of the Canadian calls on most of these. Bob Cole, Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson, I love their voices. And CBC and Sportsnet always seem to mic the crowd better than their american counterpart.
Don’t care Gary Thorne greater
@@AVSCOUNTRY2024doc emerick greater. I feel no emotion from the announcers in this video
I remember watching that game between Pittsburgh and Nashville with it being 0-0 and I said to myself, "Wouldn't it be funny if Patric Hörnqvist gets the Cup-winning goal against his former team?" Within a minute, he did! 😂
Woah! An update, way to go mate. I watched the old version had to have been 50 or so times lol
Really looking forward to seeing next years video with a Connor Garland goal at the end
I'm still sad about Vancouver's loss to Boston from 2011 to this day. :(
Get a life
Not even a Kings fan and that double OT goal gives me goosebumps
1970 bobby orr might be the most iconic goal
2014
Alec martinez 2014
Not really, he totally embellished it.
Not everyone remembers that the Hawks had a great chance of a three peat. In 2014 they lost game 7 at home in overtime to the Kings. Had they won that game, they would’ve most likely beaten the Rangers.
the amount of times we have been in the Stanley Cup Final in this video and can only win 6 of them is crazy 😭
9:04 " The hound does it again... *Proceeds to bark* "
That behind the back cross pass to craig simpson in 1990 was clutch holyy
I love watching Marchand make no effort and take a line change with 10 seconds left in the period. Let's go Blues!!!
when montreal was actually good
Playing goalie without a helmet, savage 💪🏻
Gary Thorne has the best call on the Fedotenko goal
Gary Thorne had the best Hockey calls during that time period.
That Ottawa goal still hurts
1980, 1987, 2010 still rip my heart out.
Man as the years went on my vision got better
That Vinny apple damn
Lecavalier's assist on the 2004 goal is insane
i was looking for this comment! kudos! :)
It’s crazy how that goal in 2021 on the lightning was a hooking call missed turned into a 3 on 1 goal. Referees need to be better.
It's hilarious how in 1933 you could hear one individual yelling and now, throughout the game you can barely hear yourself talking 🤣🤣
18:54 2000s start
Makes sense to use Smiths goal for 2023 as the one to seal it. It was just an onslaught from there and Panthers only got up to three anyways.
I miss Smithy on the knights
Which means it is the winning goal.
It was the winner.
The Bruins fan at 23:51 in disbelief, poor guy lol
Crazy that players didn't wear helmets early on. They were tough as nails.
I’m a big Montreal fan
So clear picture at 1951. What happened to the next 15 years??
4:21 This Ab McDonald play is about 2 ft offsides lol
Playing without protection...you had to be half-crazy in those days.
No Gary Thorne calls :(
Interesting to watch the equipment progression. Hard to believe that goalies didn't start wearing masks until the early 70s and the majority of players wearing helmets in the early 80s
If you end up making a updated version could you please add the losing team in the corner?
12:32 12:53 13:40 14:01 14:55 Edmonton Oilers have been a really great Canadian team winning the Stanley Cup, and they’ll win their 6th Stanley Cup soon this year!
canucks 4-0 sweep what are you on about
the goalies from the 40s and 50s were just simply standing up......i guess back then they just stood there hoping the puck would hit their pads.
I'd imagine they also didn't wanna go down since they didn't wear masks
@@nhlvan Pussies
During Georges Vezina's time...Goalies were not allowed to drop to the Ice or it was a Penalty
Man, Bill Barilko's 51 goal was gorgeous.
Dallas Has Great Chances to Be In The Finals And Winning The Cup
2009 was the first one I remember. 2010 was the weirdest. 2018 was my favorite
Let’s go leafs n canadiens n the other 5 🇨🇦 teams
bro didnt mention the senators, oilers, flames, canucks and jets
Wow…Flower sat on the puck and put it into the net himself. Yikes.
Always wondered how many injuries occured because of no head protection
Watching the old school goalies with no helmet or pads makes my butthole pucker.
BTW.. AVS fan... In my bracket, we (Boston) is playing you in the cup final this year. I don't recall any time that we played each other for the cup? It would be a good matchup.
The '79 Lemaire and '07 Philips goals are still the weakest Stanley Cup winning goals
Clap bomb from the blue line is legendary
As long as they go in, that's what matters.
It’s crazy to me that there was a time that goalies didn’t wear helmets
mccarty scored the finest cup-winning goal of all time
Devonta smith pelly came so close to being the only black scf game winning goal scorer
Where’s doc?
6:12 the last time the Leafs ever won the cup lol
holy shit, I never realized that the Senators lost on an own goal
The score was 6-2 in the end so even though the 3rd goal (an own goal) was the game winning goal, it didn't really matter that much.
One of these things, is not like the others! One of these things is a goddamn own goal~
12:12 I’d do anything to see my islanders win another Stanley Cup again
the 2010 "Leighton Leak" was the most anti-climatic cup clincher of them all
The McCarty goal against Philly in 97 didn’t actually win the series. The Wings won that series in game 1. The Flyers quit.
That rough stuff at 27:52 ... there was no need of it.
I’m dumb I was thinking “why are they wearing Jason masks??” 🤦🏻♀️
I’d skip 1967 for the memes
Orr’s is best
Bill Barilko disappeared that summer.
The guy calling the 1962 goal sounds like a Salarian.
‘51 is nasty
Jeez if only there was a rule against being in the crease in 1999 18:37
It was allowed then and it’s allowed now. You can’t change the past just because you feel salty about not winning
Sabres got totally screwed in 99
so safety became a thing in around 1980
I honestly cannot believe hockey players( especially goalies) used to play without helmets or masks
for some reason i said “tom bolland” instead of dave bolland.
Denisenko dalpe gudas mahura on a line 😭
Ah Brett hull. The goal that haunts sabres fans.
Bergeron goal was not the winner that was just the first goal
McCarty best SC winning goal ever?
weird to include 1999’s.. that game was never finished after the no goal
Legal goal therefore game finished in OT. Sabres lose
It was a goal. Crying won't change that.
@kevinbadger8030 he's not really crying lmao it's a basic fact. He was in the crease which back then would result in a no goal. But officials always have been awful
@@tohsakamine lol keep crying
@@kevinbadger8030 its literally something that happened 25 years ago why would anyone be crying 🤡🤡🤡 sounds like this game must have been the highlight of your life though. Kinda sad honestly
Many day one Canuck goal winning no ?
LA kings goal were best
Like every single team used "rock and roll pt 2" as their goal song in the late 90s/early 00s lmao
I love how the announcers are so underwhelming and boring in the early years
They had a Stanley Cup during the 2nd World War in 1942
Yeas and it wasn't just 42 man its 39-45 is ww2 learn history
LA has the best fans. You can even hear the loudness through this video lmao
Maybe one day, Montreal will win there 25th
You guys had a shot in 2021
So ur really gonna not use mike emmrick the greatest commentator of all time ur trippin
Lars Eller 🗣️🗣️🗣️
I'm not a bolts fan but how tf was that hook not called right before the 2022 goal? Horrible
Take your pick in GMG for 2023 considering Vegas murdered Florida
Не, я конечно, бухал сильно в 21-ом году...Но...Чё - там у них произошло?! 🧐😯 Тампа выиграла Кубок Стенли в финале у Монреаля? WTF???!!!☝🤔😱
Hull was in the crease fyi
The rule had changed.
The commentator first said Dennis Hull
@@lakeeriesailor2852 Oopsie 🤣
I'll do these matchups from 1933 to 2023, on EA Sports NHL 97, 98, 99, 2000, 2001, 09, & 24, 1933-1989 on NHL 09 on PS2, then 1990-1996 on NHL 24 on PS4, then 1997 on NHL 97 on my computer, then 1998 on NHL 98 on my computer, then 1999 on NHL 99 on my computer, then 2000 on NHL 2000 on my computer, then 2001 on NHL 2001 on my computer, then 2002-2004 on NHL 24 on my PS4, because of the 2004-05 NHL Lockout-I switch to NHL 09 on my PS2 for 2006-2009, then 2010-2023 on NHL 24 on my PS4
This doesn't make any sense to me...
do it
Caps game 5 I knew we were going to score that rush. Had that weird feeling all playoffs
There’s nothing there for 1999. Weird
When did wearing jerseys at games become the norm?
1643
Let’s go Bruins!
