Great job looks good man. I literally just ran into a similar ground issue on my boost guage 😆 I never drive the Supra at night and I decided to take it out turned the lights on and guage went off. Changed the ground a fixed 😆.
😂 Bro you have no idea how pissed I was after I literally had the entire dash back together and flipped on the lights! I was so heated haha. Joys of modifying cars haha.
I actually was able to seat the gauge and wires without cutting a whole. However, yes, I would recommend dremeling a hole for the wires to route through the vent piping. I will be doing that the next time I disassemble my dash trim.

Good vid💯
I must ask, what gear knob is that, looks so nice
Thanks. And you can find it here made by Dewla Dezign!

I might do this also
It cleans up the “cockpit” pretty well and looks less race inspired until you sit in the driver seat haha. I love the look compared to the A-Pillar
Nice!
Thanks man
Good vid mate, did you cut a hole into the existing vent so the wire connector can be threaded through to reach the back of the gauge?

Looks great! So the vent is still functional?
Thanks. And yep the vent is still 100% functional. Granted the airflow is limited due to the reduced size and the vent is now Omni-directional.
