Greta Van Fleet is the real deal and they are young! WOW! Mia and I were completely speechless! We had close to no words to describe them! We felt that if we were to say anything, we'd be disrespectful! LOL! Let us know in the comments below if you gave them a standing ovation with us! Music really does bring people together! The first time I heard this band was on the radio and I swear I thought Led Zeppelin released a new album. lol. These boys are good. Thank you girls for sharing :)
YESSS I was so hoping y'all would react to Greta Van Fleet. They are definitely the best rock band right now. You should listen to all their songs, but a few in particular that I recommend are "Age of Man", "When the Curtain Falls", "Black Smoke Rising", "Age of Machine", and "Broken Bells" (the last two are from their new album). The singer, guitar player, and bass/keyboard player are all brothers, and the drummer is a longtime family friend of theirs. Needless to say, they all know each other pretty darn well, and that's why they have so much chemistry when they play live. GVF is such a breath of fresh air in today's age, when I discovered them back in early 2019 it kinda rekindled my love for music and rock and roll.
Please, do more GVF! "Broken Bells" is their latest & SO VERY beautiful!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
The guitarist/drummer/bassist are good, but the singer is an absolute superstar singer. Can you imagine his voice in the 70s or 80s?

I started following GVF 3 years ago when a live version of Highway Tune showed up in my RUclips feed. I now have all three of their albums and have seen them live in May of 2019. These guys are the real deal. They’re carrying the torch of real rock n roll which I thought had died into the future.
I’m a 43 year old guy raised on my parents Led Zeppelin albums and Pearl Jam and STP in high school. I’ve seen The Rolling Stones, The Who, Garth Brooks, Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam, and RUSH in concert as well. Greta Van Fleet is right there with the icons in their early years.
We’re witnessing history!!

Finally a very young band from this generation playing classic rock .... I discovered them last year I am totally obsessed with them .. they write so many great songs , actually I llke all their songs and on live performances they improvised a lot ..

I liked the throwback lyrics to the late ‘60s, the title and “she’s outta sight”, “can you dig it?” Singer sounds kind of like Robert Plant. Very much enjoyed the reaction! You’ve definitely added a band to the good side of the roster. And don’t beat yourself up, Juliet, you’ve been doing plenty! Things you were doing that guitarist wasn’t doing. :-) Time in the future, lots of it, to continue your guitar learning.
Hi! I loved your reaction! You asked how old they are, they recorded this in September 2019, at the ages of 23 (guitarist and singer) and 20 (bass/keyboards and drummer). By the way, the singer and guitarist are twins, while the bassist is their younger brother. The drummer just an old friend of them all. And I'm pretty sure they originally wrote this song a long time ago, around the ages of 17 (the twins) and 14 for the other two. Again, I LOVED your reaction, the faces you made while hearing those high notes! I have to say that I heard him reaching notes even higher!

I think I knew the band name, but this is the first time I have heard or seen them, so thank you for persuading me to lose that 12 minutes along with you. A pretty solid band by the sound of it, though not exactly what I was expecting from the name - I will admit my poor little grey cells were more than half expecting a female lead singer at the least! And speaking of singers, wow - does he have a set of lungs on him!

So glad to see that they have developed into more than sounding like Led Zep, they are definitely making their own sound now going by this. The influences are still there obviously but I loved it

Josh (the lead singer) has an insane vocal range, I'm not sure if he's a countertenor but his voice naturally sits very high up, you'll rarely hear him go even down to speaking range whilst singing aha :)

I know i have commented a while ago, but you really need to hear Greta Van Fleet "Broken Bells Candlelight Session Live" and "Tears of Rain Candlelight Session Live" they are beautiful. Of course the entire new album is fantastic, Weight of Dreams one, Age of Machine, Caravel, etc. It is so refreshing to hear young people listening to this New Band with the Old Sound we love. Good group and the sound goes back to good classic rock and Juliet you can play guitar like that! You and Mia have the gift to play Music, I think your Dad would Love It! I lost my Dad when I was young but my Mother always encouraged me and I played for over 30 years. I see both of you in a group making people react to your music. Start going, if you haven't already, to Guitar Center or another one if your town doesn't have one, but every place has Guitar Center

My Husband and I just got to experience these guys live August 5th, 2021. They were amazing. If you girls get the chance to see them live please go. I have gone to tons of shows, but these guys were awesome. The guitar player is Jake and the vocalist is Josh. They are twins. The guy on keys also plays bass and he is their brother Sam. The drummer is Sam's childhood best friend Danny. They play great together. Amazing reaction. Please do more. You won't be disappointed. When the Curtain Falls and The Heat Above are good choices.

I've said it before and I'll say it now Mia The Rocker!! she's she's going to be one of these girls it has a bright Orange Challenger driving through the neighborhoods and all you hear is boom boom boom she goes by, it was so funny when she stopped the video and didn't say anything for about 15 seconds laugh out loud but what she did say was right!! Everything Juliet said was spot-on the singer is great as long as you don't have to look at him first reminder Chucky in the movie

Whew! That was rough getting through, watching these guys imitating Led Zeppelin, but to each their own. Glad you liked it. Nice shirts, though! ;) I am a fan, however of some other Lava Records recording artists. I do fancy their labelmates Hero The Band and The Warning and some others. I'd love to see a reaction to one of these, for sure, especially The Warning!! The Warning are liked by such artists as Metallica, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Muse, and Nelly Furtado, among others. Did I mention I like the shirts?😁

As Led Zeppelin snob, I have no problem with whatever anyone thinks of GVF. If they were imitating Led Zeppelin they’d be playing Kashmir and Danny would be nailing Bonham’s drum part. They’re unique. Not copies or imitators.

Although they deny it, they are HEAVILY influenced by Led Zeplin.
If you listen to LZ's "Your Time Is Gonna Come" you'll see where this song structure comes from.
That said, as a rock guitarist for 60 years, I"m happy seeing them keep this hard punching sound alive!
The word that comes to my mind is "derivative".
I thought they hadn't denied and had said they were huge Zep fans. It would seem impossible to deny...lol
They've said that Zeppelin is an influence aha, though their newer stuff is way more original in my option and it sounds amazing :)

Of course it's cryptic enough, so can be interpreted by different listeners.
Say what you want about them, but GVF is leading the way at reviving rock for the modern generation. They started out sounding like Zeppelin but they're beginning to come into their own. Just watch, "2020s-2030s rock" is going to become a thing.
