When there is a rare 80's movie showing the theme will play sometimes. At least that time, this was about a year or so ago, it's something you don't forget because I wasn't even paying attention to the tv but when the HBO INTRO Came on it instantly caught my attention and made me wonder if they went back to their old roots! Haven't heard/seen it since.
Yeah.... That last one definitely 1990 ish ... Around My Kindergarten era, my cousin that used to babysit me used to put me to bed around 9 .. I used to sneak out to the living room , hide behind the couch & see this every weekend .
The HBO In Space intro is far better, but this is also good. They probably didn’t intend this, but something I like about it is by the end, the screen looks similar to a movie theater with the lights as the chairs.
I remember My family Getting HBO For free After a Bad Flood happened and I got to experience all of HBO for Years from 90s to early 2000 it was the best I remember trying to stay up for Bad Boys and Batman Forever When It premiered and is it just me or did they play the hell out of clueless when it premiered it was literally on every time I turned on the channel lol Good times
man i missed the epic hbo starz cinemax showtime starz intros they were epic and it shows thier charisma along with "the following movie is" from the 1990s but these days right now they always skipped the intros and go straight to the movie right away :(
Sad that many of the great shows that were on hbo in the 90s, Harold and the purple crayon, magic cellar, that mouse sherlock holmes tv show, a little curious, i spy, and many more are not on hbo max

This intro was right before my old VHS recording of Back to the Future.
By this time I had my own VCR and I was renting movies more. But we still had HBO with our cable subscription.
