Congrats for the new toy! I always wanted to photograph those kind of circular long exposure leaves but somehow I couldn't find them. Maybe it only works in Scotland. :)
Beautiful location and great shots. Still use and love the Z7. Impressive improvements on the Z8 but even buying used, it would cost £2k to upgrade and I just can’t justify that just now.
Thanks for your practical review of the Z8. Like you were, I've been agonising whether to upgrade from a Z6II but some of the incremental improvements you identify (like having the spirit level and histogram on the same screen) make it easier to justify, particularly as the price is falling (as a Yorkshireman!). Good stuff
It’s the sum of all those little things that won me over. There are a lot more features that I’m slowly discovering and liking. Purchased mine from Panamoz. Fantastic price and service. 👍🏻
Great video - good to see that you are happy with the new camera and the features that are useful to you. If they make life easier to get the shots you want to take, that's worth a whole load of £££. The Falls of Bruar are a lovely place - it's been a couple of decades (or more) since I was there, so I'll have to be making a trip back there. Great images - love the swirling patterns and the use of mixed shutter speeds too.
Stunning images.........congrats on the Z8, I traded my Z6ii for the Z8 when it first came out. I've paired it up with a 14-30mm, 24-120mm, 70-200mm and 20mm f1.8 for astro. You will love the 8. Autumn in Scotland is amazing!
Hi Garry it sounds like a decent upgrade from the Z7. It's interesting you listing all the 'extra' features, a lot of them have been on Fuji for a few years 😊. Custom buttons, one button to clear the LCD display, long exposures up to 15 mins. Fully articulated screen, but that sensor shield is a fantastic idea and hopefully one to be added to future Fuji camera's. I actually thought of that about 5 or 6 years ago, I should have approached the camera manufacturers I could have possibly retired by now 😂. Looking forward to watching future vlogs with the Z8
To be honest most, if not all of those features are on newer Nikons. Problem was that I was using an original Z7. In modern camera terms, positively Victorian 🙂
really enjoyed this mate, well done, stunning collection of images, beautiful autumnal feel. Z8 does look great 👍
Just a shame it got the wrong badge on it eh? 😆
@garrysugdenphotography you said it not me 😂
To be fair if I wasn't already invested in Sony I would consider the Nikon
@@MHLandscape Shocker!!! 🤣
Beautiful location mate amd some stunning images to boot also, really enjoyed the B-role
Thanks 👍 Really glad you enjoyed it.
Great images... good luck with your new purchase.
Thank you very much and thanks for watching.

I’m always on the look out for them but that has to be one of the best I’ve found. And definitely the biggest.
great video Garry.
Thanks John 👍🏻

That’s exactly the situation I was in. I was just lucky enough to find the money and when the wife says “treat yourself” I wasn’t going to argue 🙂
So lovely
Welcome to the Z8 gang. The biggest buy for me was the two way tilt screen. Worth its weight in gold just for that alone.
Thanks. Yep, my knees and back are already thanking me 🙂👍🏻

Keeping up with the BAKER 😂. Welcome to the club mate! Great images ❤
Wouldn't have ended up here without you mate :-)
@@garrysugdenphotography I’m sure you would have. You’re doing well, keep it up!
@@paulwbakerphotography Thanks Paul.
Thanks very much Gary, lovely photos and video. Thanks also for not wearing your cap in the house. ( Yes you can tell I’m old !)
Thanks for watching. I do love a hat but one has to keep up standards indoors. 🙂

Very nice set of lenses. Thanks for watching.
Great video and explanation. The boss/the missis 👍😅
Glad you liked it! Yep, I always do what the boss says :-)
@garrysugdenphotography 👌
Great video, Nikon does look good
Thanks 👍 Don't worry I'll keep your dirty little Nikon secret safe. :-)
@ I would appreciate that thanks
I was at Falls of Bruar recently with my Z8. Paired with 24-120 f/4 I think it's on elf the best combinations I've ever used.
Great place, great camera, great lens. Perfect combination 👍🏻🙂
Lovely video mate - I thought you already had the Z8?
Well, when people ask about it… you feel obliged to create a video 🙂

Thanks for the comment and the sub 👍🏻👍🏻
