Its funny because Tolkein elves are actually very asexual. Because they're so long-lived their growth rate is nearly stagnant.

Elves are the same, just that if we take years to find a companion, they may take centuries, and so mate less(depending on the view of sexuality in their society). But when they're in a relationship, I don't think they differ too much from us. They are isolationist, but just against other races.

i haven’t actually been able to look into that book for my dnd campaign myself but if it’s anything like the couple of videos i’ve been seeing in regards to eberron orcs there definitely somewhat interesting and i might use some of those ideas in mine next campaign, but a lot of my friends that i’ve been able to get to play tend to see them as just big old brutes for the most part, they didn’t exactly play before i introduced them to the idea but they seemingly just looked into the races and took them at face value, except for one girl i play with, but i haven’t talked to her for like 7 months since she started college.
Masked Kitty I know since the books leave room to make exceptions to the sentient monster’s behavior. For example good Goblins are rare but not entirely impossible and Grey Orcs can be occasionally civilized.
I love how he makes such a small deal of it but still shuts her down so completely.
