Great video, i had a customer with a ps3 slim, he told me he dropped the ps3 and now it would power up with nothing on the screen, it might be something to due with a the hdmi chip or something with the motherboard. I tried to hold the power button for 7 seconds to reset it and tried the old av cables and it didn't work. Do you think its a motherboard prroblem?
Thanks mate, yeah it could be a crack in the Motherboard you would need to look it over with a magnifying glass if it looks good could try take out the bios battery and use a screw driver to to arc out the connection wipe the bios before using the AV leads if it was pugged in when it got dropped it could be a broken HDMI port good luck I hope you can work it out.
@@TheDiWHYGuy thanks. Because its an old ps3 i would just tell him that there is a high chance its the motherboard. And motherboard issues are not my thing. so i would offer him a ps3 super slim for $40

That's fair the ps3 motherboards are very hard to repair sadly, but 40 bucks for another one can't go wrong really thanks for watching mate :)
Should have delidded the RSX and CPU
Good Idea I could do that once I get the bios battery and heat pads would be cool to see if liquid metal helps with temps
