Why not attach the spray activation switch to your accelerator pedal, such that the spraying will occur only when you floor the accelerator pedal? I mean, isn't that the time you most want the additional cooling?
You would want cooling before you floor it and would want to use it like after sitting in traffic when your engine bay is really heat soaked and intake temps really high. Having it tied to the pedal would also mean you are spraying all the time and would get an empty tank of water after several minutes, maybe an ok idea for racing applications only.
@@fixflickss I used a drill bit I think it was 1/4 then the factory clips on the squirter just clicked in I could still turn them. Went front mount a few months later. I got a small washer tank off Amazon so I could mix water/meth and spray it worked so much better and I used less overall to achieve the temps I wanted
@@fixflickss I measured from the bottom corner of the intercooler shroud on each side 1/2in outward so it was still slanted down toward the fins/blades
Thank you...to be honest I am not sure, I use it as a safety when sitting in traffic where the heat soak is huge and as soon as traffic ends I spray before I rip the car, it definitely helps to bring the manifold air temperature down quicker
Where do you hook the white (power supply) wire to? I tried on a 15a circuit and it’s fuse gets blown and pump motor eventually dies. Maybe I got a bad pump ?
The best explanation I've seen on these streets ever. I'm so doing this on my SG9. Thanks a lot mate.
Thank you 😊
This is a huge help! I’m hoping to use this to spray on my transmission cooler to drop the trans temps at the track
Good stuff man! 😍
Thanks bro

@@fixflickss Ah, makes sense.
Use factory Subaru windshield squirts way better spray pattern. Did this with a front mount intercooler.
Great job on install really man
Thank you, any ideas on mounting points without using stock engine cover?

@@BobbyB910 thank you
@@fixflickss hey man us car guys gotta share info and keep the at home builds going!!!!
Built not bought baby
Good job. Does it really help the acceleration/hose power?

One goes to ground and the other goes to power to complete the circuit, if you connect both wires to the fuse you short circuit blowing out the fuse.
Where to for power source?
Does this disrupt the rubber seal from the hood itself coming down to contact the engine cover?
I have not had an issue so no
Annoyed. The feed line is actually after the OEM pump. At least on my 2020 it is. So I have a pump after a pump…
Tq but how the wiring sir?
Sorry I don’t understand your question
You find better sprayers/misters yet?
Sooo, my engine cover front plastic pins broke, so i took it off for now, need new cover and better misters. Any recommendations?
