Hotel Review and Update - Margaritaville Lake Resort, Osage Beach MO

- My long-time viewers have seen many videos from the famous Tan-Tar-A resort in Osage Beach, MO. It's a property I have a lot of personal history with, and I've been attending a lot of conferences there as of late. It's a fun property since the layout is really bizarre and no 2 rooms are alike. As of this summer, the resort has been re-themed as a Margaritaville property, so I decided to shoot an update video showing the changes while attending a conference this past June. My conference package was a "run of the house" rate, meaning you get whatever room is available at the time of check in with no guarantees on location. On this busy weekend, this meant I was placed in a vacation rental out in the Estates complex next door. Overall the re-theme went better than I expected, but they need to look at whether the Estates rental program is worth continuing. My room was in pretty poor shape, but architecturally very cool.

The Margaritaville change actually looks good, but that room does look quite “interesting”. Good tour!
If I had something to say about this, it is the fact that maintenance doesn't go out to the estates all that often. Otherwise, it's a pretty good-looking property overall.
I would inform management about the cleanliness issue. You are doing them a favor. I always thanked guest for reporting issues.Guests used to come to me and say "I hate to bother you." I told them you are doing me a favor. How am I supposed to know about issues unless they tell me.
I worked at a place very much like the one in the video. Most expensive hotel in my small city, with pretty much the same identical issues. No matter how many times I brought up issues, I was always dismissed, which made customers angry and it just made me more and more disgruntled. You have to leave that patio uncleaned for years to have it get that bad.
@@cmcrisp42 honestly where I worked we took care of the issues to satisfy the guests.
@@jameslucero9547 I worked for a company that the owner was someone that only owned it for the profits. We literally were blacklisted by vendors because he wouldn't pay them. The hotel in the video seems to be a flip property which was alot like what the property I worked for, just our owner has only owned it since it was built and he never reinvested in the property.

I find it quite amusing,for some reason, that there was an Burger King at the Tan-Tar-A...(AND that this is a Margaritaville Resort now.) As for the room, yeah looks like the MargaritaVille folks need to work their "Margaritaville magic" on the estate there. (Wonder if they just haven't gotten there yet.) Though the vintage architecture is super cool like you said. Idk, Kinda wanna take a trip out there now.....Kinda of amused by the cheesiness of the place now...
If the estates are privately owned, there's not much the resort can do. Besides refuse to rent them out, but they probably make a hefty profit on those.

Can you do an Update tour of the Elevators?
I am from Missouri and remember Tan-Tara. If I were you I would go back to the desk and demand my money back. As soon as I saw the dangerous steps down and then up, AND then the Spiders! Hell NO!! You were generous with your assessment. But that was disturbing and disgusting. I wouldn't be able to sleep.
I almost stayed here back in November but I ended up in Springfield and drove through this area the next day and continued on. I knew it would be a quick trip due to the off season. Maybe next time.

That was interesting. You’ve never really had this much of an issue staying at this resort before. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you pay for the room? I’d actually ask for another one on account of all the spiders and that vent be the toilet . I wouldn’t feel safe in there at all. Thanks for the great video!

Lmao that was me In that golf cart that cut you off.. my bad. I actually met you that night and drove you around the resort. You won't believe how many people I had to pick up not even 30 mins after dropping them off because of the same things you were talking about in that room.

I chalk it up to "They just haven't gotten there, yet". And I've heard of Charlotte's Web, but this is ridiculous. At least they did a fantastic job on the rest of the resort.

The resort owns an estates version called Tan Tar- A. The Margaritiville resort used to be called Tan Tar- A Resort. Jacob was in Tan Tara Estates.

so i looked on google maps and i found a gas station that is claiming that they have a new system i looked in the wash bay and discovered a thrust pro dryer so i think it might be a ryko system the name of this gas station is z x on natural bridge road i would like you to go and film it

Yes but very expensive! A great wolf lodge type indoor waterpark
