And if Dr Light is imprisoned, how can you play as him?
When you first play the game, you can only choose between Megaman & Protoman. Dr. Light is an unlockable.

Seeing how base can betray Wily, it seems as though Wily doesn't exactly care for that.
That begs the question... Does Wily cause the robots to disobey those laws when he reprograms them? Don't really think much about how those explosions in the city in the game intros could be hurting actual humans and not just buildings lol

Bad Box Art Protoman in the end slate is worth watching this by itself. You can tell this took 5 years to create; it has an amazing level of polish, great job.

Oh. My heart. The track they used for Wily 2 happens to be my favorite Wily stage theme, and they did such a good remix of it.

kennyhell Mega Man 3 on GB. It's the Wily stage theme for that one. The GB Mega Man games are actually pretty alright. 1 and 2 are hard as hell, though.

It's pretty funny how everyone complains about Capcom, but when someone makes an awesome game using their IP, they just let it be.
On the other hand, everyone praises Nintendo, but if you dare to make a fanmade game using their IP, there'll be a lawsuit heading your way (Project M, AM2R, Pokemon Uranium, to name a few)

I thought it was because of a lack if interest.
They can't get money from people that don't have money.
They do it because the instant they stop defending their copyright when a court could determine they "knew or should have known about" a violation, they lose their ability to defend their copyright in every subsequent case. This is a legal issue. They're not assholes just for the sake of being assholes, but they have fought hard to keep other companies from stealing their IP, and if they let bedroom programmers get away with it, it can be used against them next time Sony or Microsoft decides to make a game called PSAdventures of Samus or Pokemon Xbox Edition.

This looks gorgeous. It reminds me of the way Mario Maker looks (probably the same philosophy behind the actual game design).
It’s actually really different from Mario Maker,while that game and its sequel try to look like the games there representing while adding new elements from other games.This fan-game mixed the 2D graphics of the classic series and mixed them with 3D details like changing camera angles or thing a like pillars getting in the way.
This was a really good throwback!

This is what Mighty No. 9 *should* have been. All we wanted was more Mega Man.
Not if Capcom had anything to say about it. Keiji Inafune, who obviously left the company, would've been sued so hard if he decided to do another game with the Mega Man IP.

As it turns out, *Mega Man X* is going to be a playable character in that crossover fighting game. If you ask me, Capcom did this in order to gauge fan-interest in the character, and possibly test the waters for a new *_Mega Man X Collection_*.
The future of Mega Man games may very well depend on MvC.
Mighty Number 9 was plagiarized from Mega Man. also the most epic cat fight. Roll vs Splash Woman
It wasnt plagiarized, Kenji Inafune left capcom because they wouldnt let him make a new mega man game and cancelled Mega man universe. He then crowdfunded Might no 9 which was as close to mega man as he could make.

That is an excellent fangame.
A couple of minor things, cosmetic really:
- Weapon energy and other powerups don't change colour to reflect the current weapon
- A large number of the spikes are the underwater mine shape which looks a bit odd in on-land levels
- No flip-screen scroll when going through the boss doors (c'moooon! ;) )

Dr. Light is hilarious! It's funny, actually... Dr. Light's been captured, and they assume he needs their help, but he's already out busting robots!
Gotta say, this looks like a damn proficient use of the '2.5D' perspective. All the visual niceness does not get in the way of determining excatly where the platform edges are.

Playing as Dr. Light is not something that appeals to me, but I have to say, This game looks fantastic. What a refreshing way to approach 2d Megaman. Had never heard of this before, definitely gonna play it.

I am glad that I will finally be able to play plenty as Protoman.
Some of those elements are supposed to look round, not square. The snake level for example, it's supposed to be all round, look at how the textures were made.
