When you were talking about how things you used to do for workout were much harder now, I automatically thought you needed a motivated space like the gym with like minded people. And then at 12:07 you said what I was thinking during your workout chat hehe 😜
I learned recently that caffeine can stay in your system for up to 12 hours! It hasn’t stopped me from drinking a 2 pm energy drink, but it’s made me think a little harder before deciding to have one 😂
You should watch MissFit and Nerdy talk about caffeine.
I haven't given it up, but I used to drink 300 milligrams a day.
Slowly, and with the help of a measuring glass, I cut my caffeine back to 150 milligrams a day.
I totally get the feeling of working out consistently and feeling like nothings happening, but I always feel like after like 3 weeks it just suddenly clicks and I see results like overnight. Stick w it babe! You’re not getting old, but our bodies do change. Embrace this chapter! 💕💕 Hope your bday was amazing!! 🎂

Look into magnesium and take the ones with a triple whammy. Glycinate, taurate and malate. It’s from rhythm and it’s called triple calm. It’ helps you sleep and I love it because I know dream more again because I go into REM. Try it out

Your videos are so relatable. Especially the recent ones. Those are hitting home. My dogs health started to decline due to an inoperable lesion in his brain starting May and from then, until he passed. A lot of vet visits, blood work, seizure meds, working out was the last thing on my mind. He passed away january 15, 2023. Would have been 8 years old in february. I am also trying to get back into working out. I used to be very athletic. Specifically outdoor sports. I live in san diego too. since may nothing and I can feel it in my bones. Thank you Nikki for being so vulnerable and raw sharing these clips with us. Side note about your straw issue. On the bottom of the straw, any straw, cut a steep angle off at the bottom. This will help the flow of water, opening up the entry way of the straw and limiting the surface area for the water adhesion properties ( wanting to cling to the sides of the straw like crazy) . Granted yes a bigger straw will be easier yet even on a bigger straw, an angled opening will make the flow glorious lol. Let me know how it works out. Oh and to cut it, depends on the straw. Sometimes Can get away with scissors but usually using an exacto blade or a really sharp knife. The last one will be harder. Try cutting away from you but keep in mind to shave an angle off the straw

Go Bouldering!! Before the pandemic, I got super into bouldering and top-roping after becoming unmotivated to lift weights. It helped keep things fresh and different. 10/10 recommend.
Mr Ballen here on RUclips tells scary and true crime stories. I too am fascinated by true crime and binge watched so many of his videos over the span of a few weeks, that I finally had to take a break, because I felt I was beginning to get paranoid and scared of everything. Lol that being said… I highly recommended his channel! 😆

Waking up early for me only worked when I had a strong enough why. For example, in my case- if I don’t wake up before my toddler and husband- I won’t have alone time for the rest of the day and that’s essential for my sanity lol 😂
Bouldering is sooo amazing! I discovered it about 3 months ago and it’s so addicting.. and to see your progress in the problems is amazing! I did tear a ligament though.. landing wrong! So if you’re going to do it, definitely practice your landing! 😅

My first and only time I believed my old bones could endure more then they could, so at one point I jumped down from the climbing wall at 82feet on to the madras and got four broken bones in my foot😆🤷🏻♀️💩

I love bouldering! We have a local rock climbing gym that a group of us go to. I prefer the belay, but bouldering is fun too. You always leave feeling fatigued haha, but like a total baddie. I can’t wait to see gym content too. I’m a sucker for seeing different gyms!

Try bouldering for sure! I found climbing a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. My back is stronger than ever (although my little legs have shrunk since I stopped lifting so much lol)

I hate when I lose progress and work back towards something that was once easy but it definitely comes back faster than doing it the first time! Also I boulder and it’s sooo fun and a great way to meet ppl:). I hope you enjoy! It might be pretty hard at first but it’s really rewarding if you stick to it!

Nothing wrong with callouses lol I've been climbing for 3yrs and just file mine down. At first, the skin takes a beating but toughens up pretty quickly
