Points for effort to get this looper to behave the way you need. Some cool features but I'm more of a simple loop and layer user. I agree about the Meris MIDI box. I have one and it does make a difference with my Hedra.
Great video! Can I ask, how does the infinity handle the loop when the midi clock increases or decreases? I.e. if you record a loop at 120bpm, then increase the tempo, does the already recorded loop play faster?
Thanks! It's great the way it responds, it uses varispeed instead of timestretching. I think timestretching sounds like shit ALWAYS so this is pretty cool.
Thank you! Any jitter at all? I’m trying to figure out if the extra price tag is worth it for this over something simpler. Do you have any videos showing the varispeed capabilities by chance?
I used to have an Infinity (first edition). It's a good looper, but many things are super goofy. That speed button on the Infinity3 it's just embarrassing, but also the fact that half speed when engaged affects both loops at the same time (a reason why I used it rarely). I also used first an external footswitch and then a tiny midi controller to control it. Standalone is a bit poor: I feel you when you complain about the undo-press to go into overdub when closing the loop record, not being able to engage reverse from the pedal via a dedicated button. Plus I hated the internal always on limiter. Btw now I got the new Looperlative LP2, and it feel like when I was using my old LP1! Totally another story.
Hey man. Do you ever deal with a lot of white noise/hiss from the infinity? I got one but I can’t have the volumes anywhere past 12 o’clock without a bunch of noise. Especially bad when the loop is in playback. It looks like you have your master volume pretty high but I don’t hear any hiss.
Funny the first time I watch a YT video from you is following the comment about you not doing them... It never even occured to me after all these years to look for you on here! Anyways, I had been considering the Boss RC-505 or 202 until the Circuit Rhythm happened. Hopeuflly I feel up to unboxing the thing tomorrow!
Ha. Yeah i am not done with video but i no longer make "youtube videos". This got crossposted to IG, and i will probably start archiving my channel to another site soon. I just don't want all my eggs in Susan's basket.
"Better" is subjective but Infinity 3 is more interesting. They are both flawed and under-researched products that never should have been released but have very impressive engineering.
thanks for doing this. not much content out there with pedals and synths. Keep up the good work man.
Loop aging is cool. It's not feedback, it's the amount of decay for each loop. Great musical implications.
That's literally feedback.
This fucking thing was designed by people who paid no attention to the history of looping devices, wittingly.

@@brentwatters no I don't have a demo of it tempo tracking but because of how it does it there's no jitterbug. It's worth it.

No, I haven't experienced this. It would be great to learn more about this problem. Thank you.

hey so what would you say is your favourite looper? Looking to pick up my first. any recommendations?
I'd probably recommend the EHX 1440 as a first looper. It's great and syncs to midi very well.
@@suitandtieguy thanks. I'll check it out.
Which do you think is better Aeros or Infinity 3?
