Man. I got my hopes up when I saw the thumbnail. KI cabinets are hard to find. I had that short VHS for Donkey Kong Country that came with Nintendo Power back in the day that had the 5 second teaser for KI at the end. The hype was real back in the day.
I made pretty extensive tutorials on each character. Darryl Tsung told me in a comment that he was going to be getting back into KI and was going to check them out.
I loved this game so much in elementary school that I brought the SNES cart with me to school just to look at and I got it confiscated and I was scared someone would steal it from the teacher so I stole it out of her desk drawer lmao.
I remember when this first came out in the arcades in the UK. Absolutely loved the combo system, the combo announcements and the music. Loved the the SNES version still got the black cartridge. Loved Killer Instinct 2 and gold on N64. Getting to play both Killer Instinct 1 and 2 again on Xbox brings back so many memories. Thank you 👊🏾

Oh man i remember being good back in day. Fast forward 30 years i still remember most of cinders combos. But it will take time. Thanks again. I subscribed to your channel. Love gaming in general.
I’m 37 now but I can still remember going in the arcade and thought Shao Kahn from MK2 at the best announcer voice, and he still does, but the volume and bass of this game really makes everything come together. I don’t know if you remember Yack Backs it was the toy that had a speaker on it would allow you to record like five or 10 seconds of some thing and then play it back are used to do that with the Shao Kahn MK two voice when I would go to the arcade because my Sega version didn’t have him speaking almost at all
I like that you're also uploading other fighting games aside from MK, kinda gives variety and it's very fun I hope you can play other games too! Great videos
The memories. I played this to death on SNES. Best part for me was hearing: ULTRA ULTRA!! Got good with pretty much everyone. Jago, and Cinder seem to be my favorites. Trying to do Spinal, Saberwulf, Riptor and Glacius' Ultra combos were hard af! I think you could also play as Eyedol as well.

Man, I loved the SNES. I still play it through emulation. Mods add a whole new story, etc. Almost like DLC if they're done right. But yeah, the console versions because of limitations was kinda like listening to rap music uncensored and then hearing the edited version and you're like: "WTF is this sh!t" lol Only a handful of songs can pull it off, depending on the song. Nice job with Combo. Took me a little while to get good with him, but he became another fav 👊
@@oOBranxietyOo Th-Th-Th-THANK YOU FOR THE COMMENT! (KI announcer voice) lol the SNES version was awesome and I wonder if I could play it again like I did back in the day, wonder if my skills would hold up.

This man is playing Killer Instinct?! Are you TRYING to become the best channel ever?! Lol. Seriously thanks for posting. Not enough classic KI content out there. Loving this! A fantasy I've always had was a Mortal Kombat vs. Killer Instinct game!! Especially in the days of MK3. ☺. Thanks again.
I think back in the day we all dreamt of these epic fighting games crossing over with the others, knowing it probably wouldn’t work that well, example being Tekken X Street Fighter. It was good but flawed also.
The music was super epic in this game, still have the soundtrack to this day and the thing I remember from being a kid, another couple playthroughs with some other characters would be sweet
killer instinct & mortal kombat trilogy, i ❤ these fighting games, i was playing killer instinct arcade on my smartphone 😊 greetings, overthere from Mexico
Loved this game on the 64 and SNES growing up. Black Orchid was my main. Was so proud of myself when I mastered her Ultra combo. You should do KI Gold too if you can.
To be honest, I never played Killer Instinct back in my childhood, cause it was only on Super Nintendo, which I didn't own. Heck, I didn't even saw it on sale anywhere here in Ukraine back then. We saw a lots of NES and Sega Mega Drive 1 and 2, but not the Super Nintendo. And I never in my entire life saw or played real arcade cabinets. So, when I heard about this game that, like have cool combos and interesting characters with cool visuals, I started to think that, maybe I should try it some day. And so, when I finally started to dig in to the emulation, I downloaded the already made and ready to work, MAME emulator with Killer Instinct 1 and 2 back in like 2013 or so, and I decided to play it. And oh boy, I still can't wrap my head around, how to do combos in this game. Like, I got used to Mortal Kombat and it's simple to do combos. But I suck at Street Fighter and other fighting games that requires you to not just press a buttons in order, but do it in right timing. I was trying so freaking hard on learning combos and I could not do it. Since then, I didn't played Killer Instinct until last year, when I tried again and it is still no go. And there is no neutral play in this game, which means that, if you get caught by AI in a combo, then you basically dead. Even Street Fighter has neutral play, where you don't need combos, but here, without combos it is dead end. Thus why, I like how Killer Instinct looks, how it sounds and stuff, but it's gameplay is not for me.
I love KI too, but I have more love for KI2, I had so many great fights against my old childhood friend too in KI2, I was Jago and he was Fulgore, all of our fights always went down to the wire in round 3. Ah good times. We played Killer Instinct 2 Gold on Nintendo 64.
I love this game i have it on my snes and on the N64 (even though that copy is borrowed from a buddy of mine)the combos in this game are insane!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yeahh that one!!!a buddy of mine lent me that i like it a lot, even though i haven't learnt the combos too well,so many cool looking characters i like sabrewulf fulgore and spinal a lot!!!
This game had so much potential to be up there with mortal kombat if they did it right . I used to play with orchid and thunder . I used to run that shit but I need to buy an series X and download this and get back good at it
I do Find the Death animation for Eyedoll much more Epic in the Snes version, his Screams when falling and sinking in the lava and then the voice of the announcer at the end, is just so Good
There’s two ways Eyedol can lose that affect the ending, if he’s knocked into the lava, and if he’s just killed on the bridge. The animation is different for both.
Killer Instinct Arcade 1-2 are on Xbox. I got mine when the Xbox One came out with a new KI game. Xbox used to have the MK: Kollection. But I have a Series X, and they keep removing games. That's also on the PS3 which should work for PS4, but I'm not sure. Also, any decent phone or low-end PC should be able to handle those games. There's lot of classics on Xbox and PS.
Awesome. KI for Xbox One or PC is my favorite fighting game. Play it sometime if you can. BTW, some topics for MK2 videos: 1. They say playing from Player 2 controls has a much easier AI. Give it your thoughts... 2. Walking back glitch - Whenever the AI is walking backwards, walk towards them and they will stop attacking you. Could be useful to winning rounds without fighting by running down the clock (if you're ahead on life bar)
I’m familiar with this, I’ve even done the “walk back” glitch several times. I’d love to get the timing down a little better before posting a video on how to. Thanks for the suggestion 👊🏼
I was at the arcade (Timezone) when they first bought this in. I remember it looking ridiculous! Way better than sf and even mk. Was a good time to be at the arcades 👍
Hmmm...this game here...ok i never knew this game had an arcade version always thought it was jus a Snes thing hence jus like MK3 i never saw the cabinet for it LOL always thought KI2 was the only arcade version of the game...2nd...although I LOVE!!! this game i can't play it at all! I SUCK!!! at it LOL i mash buttons and hope for the best LMAO!!! but i still play it for the fun of it! Please brother if you can do Primal Rage playthrough sometime that would be AWWWWESOME!!!!...(P.S..i love the Miz) (^_-)/
OMG!!! I’m buying the Xbox just for this I didn’t know they had it out. And yes I agree with you. We first played it on a local Peter piper pizza and man the arcade machine was loud and nothing like we had seen before
@@BushyStallion A little late on this video, lol, but seeing as this was also my addiction as a kid i just had a couple of ideas for a video mate... i'm sure you remember how to do the trick where you fight your opponent on a floating platform up in the sky... also maybe show people how to play as Eyedol... and also how to do both Eyedol's and Cinder's 80 hit combo (the only 2 characters who can) 👍
This game had so much going for it. I don't understand why the devs decided to make the control inputs for the moves so awkward and overly complicated. Gameplay never "felt" good to me, the way of SF or MK or others.
Hey can u do the 80 hit xombo with orchid? U just hold back then forward kick then back toward quick punch repeat. She huts 40 time plus 40 w ultra is 80 plus hits

Here in europe we had a big version of the arcade game like those double shooters with the plastic pistol’s!!!!!
I love this game sooo much!! You should play 3rd strike!!
3rd Strike is awesome, but I can’t beat the end boss! Lol I can make it to him on one credit, but ALWAYS DIE ON HIM lol
OMG!!! I’m buying the Xbox just for this I didn’t know they had it out. And yes I agree with you. We first played it on a local Peter piper pizza and man the arcade machine was loud and nothing like we had seen before
It’s pretty sweet KI and KI2 was included with the full version of the newer Killer Instinct.
@@BushyStallion A little late on this video, lol, but seeing as this was also my addiction as a kid i just had a couple of ideas for a video mate... i'm sure you remember how to do the trick where you fight your opponent on a floating platform up in the sky... also maybe show people how to play as Eyedol... and also how to do both Eyedol's and Cinder's 80 hit combo (the only 2 characters who can) 👍
I think it comes with it 1 and 2
i used to play with fulgore and the skeleton
Ultraaaaa ultraaaaa ultraaaaaaa😂😂😎 real oGz , you still got it 😂💪🏾 and facts orchid finisher on spinal 😂😂😂 and fulgore, Iykyk
I Love K.I. TJ Combo Is My Favorite Character
I love killer instinct!!!
Glacius was the unstoppable go to
I never played Killer instinct, I'm more of Mk fan. But this video is great 👍
This game had so much going for it. I don't understand why the devs decided to make the control inputs for the moves so awkward and overly complicated. Gameplay never "felt" good to me, the way of SF or MK or others.
What a good game.
15:38 dude how... His fireball def hit you. 😅
oh word killer instinct too? when is game night darryl
Game night is every night 👊🏼 but, BYOB cool?
Keep doing the ultra combo with TJ for 100 hit combo
I know MK is Ur game but KI was mine, "back in the day". O didn't know they had an ARCADE1 of it? Or is that another type?
I commented before I watched (ima smooth brain), but does someone make and arcade for it? Is now the question? THANX!
It came out in the arcade before the super Nintendo, I've played a lot of both and the super was the best
There is an Arcade1up version of it that unfortunately I don’t have, yet. But I will soon and it includes KI2 and Battletoads the arcade game too.
@@BushyStallion NICE!
@@BushyStallion now you talking bout one of the hardest games ever
Another banger ❤❤❤
Hey can u do the 80 hit xombo with orchid? U just hold back then forward kick then back toward quick punch repeat. She huts 40 time plus 40 w ultra is 80 plus hits
Have you ever played Clayfighter by chance?
I have. I loved the commentator in the first one. The way he said “Ickybod Clay” will always be stored in my memory lol
@@BushyStallion can’t forget “little girly combo” lol
The only fighting game more difficult on controller haha
