Lyta's gills always freaked me out as a kid. Also, Londo must've had his guards outfitted with some powerful weapons to kill the Shadows as easily as they did.
I always considered the Shadows to be weaker than the Vorlons on an individual level. That's why Morden brought 3 to take down the real Kosh. Either that or the Shadows had classes and the ones we saw were the weaker variety.
@@dlxmarks I always assumed that the vorlons had the edge due to their telepathic abilities, which the shadows did not have (hence their vulnerability). Presumaby the shadows could physically force their way through any telepathic shield a vorlon might come up with. Alternatively; plot armour.
@@ChrisSmith-tr4lg - Or in this case self-sacrifice. The Shadows were retaliating for Kosh allowing an escalation of the hostilities by bringing in the Vorlons more openly. So Kosh was basically sacrificing himself to delay further escalation.
Interesting that the Shadows tout evolution, yet seem to have stagnated in a physical form that Londo's guards could kill with ordinary weapons. In contrast, the Vorlons have evolved so much that killing a single Vorlon is nearly impossible for the younger races without other First Ones to help.
@@JK-Visions - It's just kind of weird because they themselves don't appear to live their own philosophy. Rather than allowing conflict among themselves to advance their own evolution, they are seemingly as unified as the Vorlons. While they can become immaterial and invisible, they can still be detected at the right wavelengths of the EM spectrum and are also visible to the telepaths the Vorlons created. Londo's guards seemingly killed two of them with regular weapons, and Sheriden apparently did so with a PPG pistol when he fought his way out of Justin's apartment.
@@daniels7907 If you go by the expanded universe stuff, the vorlons didn't "evolve" per se they figured out how to make themselves functionally immortal unless something extremely powerful killed them. The Vorlons basically stopped changing eternally from that point. The physical form we see of the shadows probably isn't the same as it was in the first shadow war, just similar. They remain physical so they CAN evolve and change over time. (In the expanded stuff they state that the shadows are actually short lived individually by the standards of the rest of the first ones)

don't tell me, that there outside are not a lot of people, they exist, even world wide, who wish one own Vorlon series or movie, but, nobody is able to creatite this dream, same so with the Tripods, both would make really interesting science fiction stories
I often wonder, had the show not been prematurely cancelled (and then un-cancelled for s5) and JMS was forced to wrap up the show quickly, would the Vorlons have retaliated because of the killing of Ulkesh? Perhaps they wanted to but Lorien's presence on B5 gave them pause.
As I read JMS wanted the Narn-Centauri war to also go further showing a female warrior clan who were connected to na'toth. He was very diverse in his writing and as I think also realistic. I can't remembered how it was in the books. I want to reread them but I am in lack of time. Too many fun things to do lol

She was scary with her black eyes yes.
But I still had the most crush on her haha. Always thought Zack was right.
@@JK-Visions Patricia Tallman and JMS were in a relationship for a few years after B5 wrapped.

Great remaster of a great scene. The visor shatter animation looks a lot cruder today lol.
I had to leave 4 minutes out. Thanks!

The shadows are older so perhaps they devolved or are just a different kind of life.

This is still a great story.
Yes and it will always be. And as I grow older and maybe a bit wiser I see more and more relevant stuff in this series to enjoy.

😮 Hi
hello there:)
Borrowed from "The Thing from Another World"?
Could be though that was on the artic and a mimicking alien so I don't know.
@JK-Visions I was thinking about the electrocuted "The Thing ..." the same was.
