    Shouldn’t have cancelled, I love when the customer or client tries to cancel because if you contact customer service and tell them the customer wants to cancel the order they cancel it and still pay you.

    Some, orders show that the delivery cost £1.99 and sometimes £2.49. Is that the cost the delivery staff receive?

    • @manoz6194
      @manoz6194 Год назад

      No, the minimum a delivery rider will get is £2.90 going up to about £10 depending on distance. Deliveroo take 30-35% from the restaurant per order and so some of that goes towards rider pay.

    £16 in 3 hours is an average of £5/hr! That is just unacceptable. No wonder why Manchester is filled with foreign delivery riders. To them, that's quite a lot of money when converted into their original country's currency.

  • @will4may175
    @will4may175 3 года назад +2

    Your following your phone wrong on the bike, from what I see everywhere is you cycle along with the phone in your hand and the other hand in your pocket, traffic lights don't exist and neither does crossing traffic, you pull out of side roads without looking and cut across vehicles without care, and when you don't have your phone out you ride down the middle of the road on the back wheel, don't worry about the Police as they don't do anything.

  • @will4may175
    @will4may175 3 года назад +4

    Up here in the north we don't have Uber eats and not seen Deliveroo either, but we do have Just Eat, and I think they hire the worst drivers they can find, they block streets, park anywhere including blocking zebra crossings.
    And the worst part is them collecting from restaurants takeaways etc, you go to a drive through whether MD KFC BK and your food takes ages because the company prioritise the Just Eat orders first, you can be sat at the window watching your order being bagged and they will stop to serve them before finishing yours.

    • @nauxsi
      @nauxsi 2 года назад +1

      It's definitely changed the restaurant scene. Most were setup for local customers walking into store with staff levels to match. Adding all these delivery services on that same staff level means slower service.

    • @mjr2567
      @mjr2567 Год назад +1

    • @will4may175
      @will4may175 Год назад

      @@mjr2567 They do, I've seen it in KFC, Burger King and Pizza Hut, the first two have gotten so bad the drive thru lanes are empty most of the time.
      And when you do use them you're either served quick or most of the time sat there watching them run around getting deliveries ready, last time I was at BK the queue of 6 cars in the drive thru we we're there 42mins, yet delivery drivers were turning up and going straight away, I even stated this on google in their reviews, haven't used either since.

    Seems like it would make more sense to be a rider for Gorrillas, Zapp, Just Eat or any of those companies that offer salaried work. You might not get the flexibility of working when you want but its guaranteed money and you'd be making at least £10 an hour. Most people would only do this as a side hustle as well.

    5 orders in a day! for less than £20. National minimum wage is £9.50 hour. (1st April 2022) That amount of pay for 5 orders is disgusting. Okay maybe if you know the run of getting around the place then you can make it pay but for the time and effort you put in you get less than £20 a day not to mention the pros and cons of where to lock your bike up and the hike up to the customers front door. No wonder the riders are still working unto 8pm and later at night to make up their hours and their money PER DAY! Could you imagine working a full week and coming away with just over £50!? Because of the 'waiting for orders' gaps.
