This is great but for India you need an ADV lol! A Himmy or an Xpluse should be great for trips...you should check out Lavi & Ollie who are travelling on Xpluses across India...and of course the great Itchy Boots who has ridden across the mountains in the north on a Himalayan!

During the day the temperature is actually quite nice, not too hot neither too cold. But the evenings can get quite chill, from about 7pm till 5-7am

At any cost do not take a Scooter/Bike ride in nights, its way to dangerous. Firstly you dont see the pits, bumps and stripes in low light conditions and secondlly headlight coming from opposite direction vehicles directly falls on your eyes thereby reducing the eyesight to zero. Unless it is urgent even we dont do it in India...
