This is a great album top to bottom. I will definitely recommend you give it a listen. He is a great song writer and wrote songs for several artist including Keith Urban.
As someone who ridin/been around horses my initire life there is definitely something special about just riding along like humans have done for 7500 years.
OMG! You are hitting some of my all time favorites!! He’s an amazing song writer. You should check out Easier Said Than Done, Closing Time, and Louisiana Blue. Also, Radney wrote Godspeed (Sweet Dreams) that is such a moving and sweet song for a child. The Dixie Chicks did a beautiful cover of it. And since you’re pulling out some artists who aren’t the generic mainstream, PLEASE try Home by Marc Broussard. Marc’s music is not pure country but he has an unbelievable soulful voice and his songs have Country as well as blues and R & B influences. He’s also covered some classics like Cry to Me from way back in the 60’s. And don’t miss a song he wrote for his son also - Gavin’s Song that is remarkable. Such beautiful prayers and hopes for your child, it gives me chills! ♥️♥️
Love Radney Foster. Beautiful voice. Best song he ever wrote & sang hands down is Angel Flight. "Angel Flight (Radio Tower Remix) - w/ Lyrics" by Radney Foster. Gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it or watch the video. Definitely needs to be heard by more Americans at this time.
This whole album is killer! Just Call Me Lonesome & Louisiana Blue...for starters. Radney put out a few more albums after this, then became part of the songwriting/singing duo Foster & Lloyd. He/They have written a lot of well known songs for other artists. Enjoyed it...thx!
great choice. he didn't have the country look but he made some of the best songs. radney made a song called "closing time" and the video is here on youtube. it helped me when i went through a rough break up.
Great song and reaction. I have never heard this but definitely looking forward to more from Radney. Also, I am not sure if you have checked out Marty Robbins yet but if not I think you will like a trilogy of songs .. Part 1 is El Paso, Part 2 is Felenna and Part 3 is El Paso City. Each song stands on its on but after listening to all 3 you get the full story. The content of this song made me think of Marty. Thanks for all of the great reactions .. Excited to continue the journey.
Its amazing these men lived in such a time that the world for them was changing so much. For instance if you lived in the panhandle of Texas from the 1860's up until the early 1900's you saw so many changes. From literally fighting for your life with Commanche indians who gave NO quarter ever to driving cattle to Montana to actually seeing airplanes and even jet airplanes. There is a book about a man named "Bob Fudge" an actual person who was a cowboy which covers this time period and the changes he saw. This song in particular IMO is about male friendship that is bound by hardship and sacrifice which crosses over race, economics etc. They were all in the same environment and changes. Today we dont get to experience that unless you may have been in the military.
If you haven't yet, I know I'm responding a year late, check out Foster and Lloyd. Radney team up with Bill Lloyd in the 80's. Highly recommend the whole first album. Just absolutely stellar!
Whoa, ya did it❣️. A Radney Foster song, sweet❣️. Now how bout another one of his for the next selection, "Angel Flight 😔🙏🏻"🤞🏼❣️. My neighbors nephew was just brought home on an Angel Flight. He was one of 5 US Mariners to be killed in an Osprey crash June 8, 2022 outside of San Diego, CA. Evan Strickland, part of the "Purple 🦊's" unit was to turn 21 this month, August. Now this song, carries with it way more weight than it has for me before. Thank you puddin for yer genuine and respectful comments on every song, story, that'cha review, rate, and react to. That is why you are my only reaction channel😉❣️. May God bless you shug, and yer entire family too🙏🏻❣️.
He's got another song that is awesome....the guitar in it is divine...."Old Silver".....I can't stop watching the video....watch the one from Del Rio Album 1959.....that's the best....
According to the info I just found the background vocals were done by Kim Richey. She is a singer/songwriter. I think you would enjoy her song "Those Words We Said", it was also recorded by Trisha Yearwood.
Hoyt Axton "Della and the Dealer", another old school song from the 80's, he also has "Wild Bull Rider" and "Evangelina".....some good southwest desert songs....
You need to check out Rodney Fosters Angel Flight Radio Tower (Remix) w/ lyrics. Makes me cry every time. Also another good one is Just Call Me Lonesome
There are still ranchers to this day real working granches there is a series on Netflix called " The Ranch" about how rewarding it can be to live on a ranch but it touches on the hard times, and also what is happening to large family ranches here more and more...sad to say we are losing Moreland more ranches (heads up in the early parts of the series there is some nudity but by season 2 mostly over) mostly Ashton Kutner`s bare bottom
Oops shug, sorry😲❣️. Forgot to add onto last comment , that if yer gonna check out Angel Flight, please react to the one with the radio tower remix please Craig. Have a wonder-filled rest of yer day ❣️
"Angel Flight /with Radio Tower Remix" by Radney Foster is one that will grab you!
i love that song the angel flight
Agreed. That one will hit you in the feels.
I stopped asking for reactions for him. Such an incredibly talented guy. I saw him many times in Amarillo, Tx. Even better in person. And very nice.
Wow, I haven't heard a Radney song in a long time, but I've always liked his music. My favorite song of his is "Just Call Me Lonesome". Thank you!
Please react to “Nobody Wins” by Radney Foster

Haven't heard him in a long time. I don't think I have ever heard this one. Nobody Wins is the one I remember

New artist for me too Craig. I like it and will have to read the comments and dive into more of his work. Thank you for your reaction.

I think this was my request and you did it 100% justice!!! Its so true to what sountry music was meant to be and the harmonies are beautiful
Wow! I can't believe you did this song! Deep cut gold!
Bravo!!!
I totally forgot about him, thanks for refreshing my memories, this is a great song

The TV series "Lonesome Dove" has a version of this, with pictures from the old west...
Hoyt Axton "Della and the Dealer", another old school song from the 80's, he also has "Wild Bull Rider" and "Evangelina".....some good southwest desert songs....

Angel Flight is his best imho. Just Call Me Lonesome is good too.
Louisiana Blue from this album is awesome!

Kim Richey female backing vocals
I think his best song is “I’m in”.
Fastest horses is also a good song
