Hank Williams Jr. is pretty much a name known by any artist of any genre of music. His voice is absolutely unmistakable. I think he's done his dad proud.
In this song, he is referencing several of his dad's songs, "Your Cheatin heart", "Ramblin Man", "I'm so lonesome I could cry". Listen to those songs, then listen to this again. Love me some Hank!
I saw that smile… And I agree. There’s nothing quite like a slide guitar. This song definitely shows how you can get in your feels when you’re liquored up and your demons come out and play with your head. Sadly, many of his demons were wrapped up in his dad, but he sings about it so well and it’s immensely relatable.
I learned to play the guitar listening to Hank Jr.on those old classics 33 lp albums I really enjoy your channel and watching you enjoy country music.Another artist you might want to consider is Charlie Daniels with his classic " Leave thisLong haired country boy alone"
Hank use to look COMPLETELY different. When he was 26 he fell 500ft off the side of a mountain in Montana and nearly died. He had to have reconstructive surgery on his face. After that he's always wore dark glasses and grew out a full beard and mustache to hide the scars. And Hank Williams, his dad, is buried about 25 miles south of me in Montgomery Alabama.
I don't drink at all but I do love those drinking songs. Merle Haggard also has a drinking song or two. You should give "I Think I'll Just Stay Here and Drink" a listen.
He refers to his dad twice in this song. Don't play "I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry" That'll get me all balled up inside!!! And don't play "Your Cheating Heart" cuz That'll tear me all apart!!! Both are songs Hank Sr. made famous!!! You can play Bocephus all day & it wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit!! 💖💯
This song is right along with Family Tradition. Not just the lifestyle, but also the musical style of his father. For a more fun song, check out All My Rowdy Friends. A whole lot of musical superstars in that video.
Now this is Country music from the best there is in my book! His music catalog is full of many great songs. You need to dive into it and check it out!! LOL
Everybody loves Hank cuz he is such a cool bad ass, me included, but I also love his romantic side. Please react to the video/song called THE LAST LOVE SONG. Watch the video version. Take it from a woman, Hank looks soooo cute in this video and the song is great. Roy Clark introduces him at the start if this video. Roy Clark was a great Country artist and incredible guitar player. Worth checking out as well.
I think I had told you about the production of When You Say Nothing At All by Keith Whitley where they added in the vocals of Alison Krauss. Hank Jr. had the same thing done with one of his legendary Dad's song, There's A Tear In My Beer.
Please try to find "There's a tear in my beer". It was brilliant the way that video magic worked. It was him and his father who died when Hank was 3. It was such a good song.
Just an idea...pull the camera farther out so we can see you tapping your foot and if you move your shoulders, we can enjoy watching you dance in your chair! I was really hoping you would get up and do the two step with an invisible partner or whoever you could find!! 😅
I can't tell you how many times I have been whiskey bent and sang this to the top of my lungs completely out of tune. Always a slow dance song in a bar. You must check out Dinosaur by Hank. It's not really a drinking song but I think you'll enjoy it
Hank Jr reminds me of the outlaws of country music, Merle Haggard, Willy Nelson, Waylon Jennings to name a few. I saw your glass was Jack Daniels, but was that the brand of whiskey you had, just curious. Keep up the great reactions!
You need to go way back to the days when country was called country western. On the western side of country was a great singer storyteller named Marty Robbins. Three of his greatest hits were El Paso, it’s follow up song El Paso City and his song Big Iron If you really want to know country music go back to the early days
Gotta love old Hank or not American lol you are one of favorites reactors by far been missing your HF r e actions please do Hillybilly BONE please a toe tapper

Love Hank Sr and Jr and this song
I have drank and sang along with this many a time.

Cheers brother !
The line "I'm so Lonesome I could Cry" is a song his dad sang
How about a drinking song that's also a Hank Williams, Jr. song? A good one is "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight".
I recommend All my Rowdy Friends are coming Over Tonight. Fun video too.
Oh gosh you HAVE to listen to Weather Man!! To me this one is super under rated

"Women I've Never Had " is a great Hank Jr song. It's fun and has a sort of New Orleans Jazz sound mixed in with the Country. You'd enjoy it. 😉
Such a legend!! It doesn't get better than the old school country. 🥰
I seen him once he was supposed to play with the Kentucky headhunters but they did not show but the show was good!!
I'd suggest Beer For My Horses by Toby Keith and Willie Nelson, as a good drinking song.
I luv this song ,thanks for your reaction.
