I hope one day they will add an animation for grabbing and hop on on a skateboard, if you know what I mean. That will be awesome, and update the graphics. So far, so good 💯

That’s not what they are talking about. They mean the animation for when you run with your board and throw it down to get onto it smoothly. Doesn’t really have a name, but I guess It’s pretty much just called throwdown

They would add this mechanic before fixing a lot of things, now they are asking for more money... what a game.

I still really want session to succeed but how is this enough? Waiting months and months for small updates will never gain them a higher player base long term.
Bro are you blind? Did you take the time to go through everything? Because 1 significant thing this update brought was AMD FSR and using that on ultra quality changed the way the game run and looks, especially when you play on performance aswell, before the game had horrible frame rate especially when exporting videos out regardless of the console, it'd still look like shit. Now though? With these new video settings it puts it above XL, since all we have is XL and sessions for consoles and also dude, there is only 9 people working on this game, we get more shit and more proper looking skateboarding than we ever did with xl, and doesnt easyday make the community wait months for a update? With said update only giving its players a new small map? Lol

This update is actually pretty cool nice to have some new clothes and decks some of the fixes and new options are nice just waiting on the skinny jeans,the no comply and throwdown board animation and this game is set 🔥🔥🔥

I wish they add socks in character customization. it would be so sick. skater usually wear sock and it's a part of skater's styles
i feel like its because the whole style of the game is based off of the 90's style. I know they wore socks in the 90s as well but the baggy look with ankle sock was very popular. If you want all the best clothes and better maps. Upgrade to PC
This game is slowly reminding me of thrasher skate and destroy a bit

You have to buy the DLC in the store if whatever platform you’re on. Search session waterpark or session Add-ons

This game is a thing of beauty, but it’s severely lacking in character creation. We need new threads and model customizations badly. Tattoos, hair, facial hair, slim fit jeans, jackets, variable headwear. Every skater you can think of creating currently looks like their favorite music group is wu-tang clan. Where’s the culture representation variety in this game?

I would really like to see hat variations in the shop so you can change if your hat is forward or backwards and adding side to side would be cool too!!!!

Solid update, I enjoyed seeing FSR presets being implemented to console as well and the audio updates. I didn't realize how bad by comparison it used to be. Hyped for the future of the game.

Right off the rip I'm lost, You say the board break is based off probability right? well how come when I get a brand new one from the shop and I go outside and bs flip off a maybe 4 ft drop it breaks... I have the break multi on 1 btw.

I just saw the update on my PS4pro this morning. It said it was a 1.8 version. Can wait to get home from work and play. Was hoping for a new city map but the water park is great for now
The version number outside the game isn’t the same as the actual version number. So console has v1.0.0.69.
Im hoping we get some creature skateboards gear and some more Santa cruz

I heard that you won't be adding multiplayer. This isn't the Atari days my dudes, the internet exists now... Sucks that this is my favorite skateboarding game, and I can't even play it with my friends so I have to put up with Skater XL. Even the Shredders simulation snowboarding game has online coop. Kill me now.
this update is actually so good 😭 im so glad this is out but omg i need those suck shirts
the only issue i have still is when you do flat ground tricks your board will do a weird bounce. like my wheels are made of rubber. idk if you were a where of it or not. but i love the content keep it up man!
That is on the bug list, Creā-ture hates it too and wants it gone
what they need to add is 2x4s so that u can build ramps using plywood and 2x4s and stuff

Very cool update all in all, The new layout for Brooklyn banks is also very cool! I mean, i know its not new but never seen it there (on console) before the update. Hey JL do you know if theres a chance we'll get Antiferg's shoes in the future ?
I can't wait to get off work today to play the update and DLC on my ps5. I'm all for this. Only bummer I have is that we aren't getting new hairstyles. Any word of if we're gonna get some in the future?
Bought it 4 in the morning and love it!! Playing as coke is just awesome and the map is huge!! Can’t wait to get home and play some more 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Playing as coke? Sounds like you can go pretty fast when you are skating as coke. You might also be extra sharp to avoid obstacles 😜

Love the game. I have an issue and maybe someone can help me with.
When i push switch, the skater gets his legs tanggled and eventually falls. That happens quite a bit and it is annoying when trying to film a line. Anyone have this issue? Any settings to fix this. Playing on ps4.
This is an issue with Pushing Mongo (with front foot ) while having Skater Physical Animation enabled. Either don’t push mongo (push with back foot. When you change chances, change button input too) or disable Skater physical Animation in experimental tab

Yes, You are able to do hippy flips and hippy Ollie. To make this easier, boost Pop Board To Body Distance in the advanced settings.

Am I correct in thinking the blank board that generates after a board break is a default size as swear it looked bigger than the size I broke?
The board that respawns is the default blank so it won’t be the same size or skate as whatever board you had equipped previously

@JL Nightmare they should add more than just 1 custom setting for the camera. That way, you can save a few angles that you like. And what's up w the AMD FSR 1.0?! Is this even good to turn on if played on a ps4 pro?
Yeah, you can use AMD FSR even on PS. Should help make performance better depending on what setting you choose
Hey man I just wanna say thanks for teaching me how to play session. I've been playing on PS5 for about 3 weeks straight. Your videos have helped a lot. I'm still trying to get better at manual catching flips to grind, but fuk that shits hard. Anyways man that's all I wanted to say. You have my subscription and my support. Keep up the sik work dude.
One thing that helped me was realizing you can use your foot position for the grind as a catch. So, instead of catching and then doing the grind input, just do the grind input and it’ll catch automatically. Just in case you didn’t know.

I'm still figuring out how to do different grinds, I can board slide or put one of my sticks up or down and thats all I know I don't understand how it works lol
@Rusty Bike Chain yea it takes a bit to get it. It can also depend on your grind settings too. I don't know if you've seen nightmares setting video, but he does a good breakdown on the settings and how they work. You could try practicing on a flat long rail and tweak your front foot first in different positions ( left stick). Or just Ollie in place and tweak your foot in the air to get used to the board moving how you want it to

What secret skate shop? We haven’t added any… there has only been 4 shops since 1.0 release last year: No-comply (NYC Chatham towers), Nocturnal (Philly), Skate Francisco (SFC), and Atlas (SFC China banks)
So there was no “secret” Skateshop go show for this update :p

can you explain how amd fsr 1.0 works? its in the display/video settings , i really just notice a sharpness increase and the screen can get a bit fuzzy

I’m not sure if In the immediate plans, but the team has talked about it. We’ve done a lot of performance fixes over the years so not sure how much more can be done

Yes you still have to pay for DLC. The deluxe edition was just a bundle pack with the game and maps / merch.

Are dlcs worth it?
Need new animations when stacking, stuff on flat land, etc , thebskater shouldn’t fall over all the time, maybe just skip a step and land on your feet, same with some rail grinds, where you jump out if your about to bail,

They did release a new map. As stated by Creā-ture after 1.0 release, maps will be paid DLC

Online Freeskate Lobby isn’t something that is going to happen unfortunately. However, we are looking into different ways for players to connect online

I understand that they do PC updates way before consoles for specific reasons but i don't see why we can't get the new shirts or deck graphics, seems like it would be very easy to implement without issue. Just hate waiting months for these tiny little things

They are purely cosmetic and don’t provide any board protection or less sliding friction. Not sure if they will be made to protect board. Kink system is a whole other thing that needs a lot of work, so if we do get to it, it won’t be anytime soon

This update isnt part of DLC so it’s just a normal free update. If you’re on PC, xbox or PlayStation Make sure you enable board breaking in the Wear and Tear option. Nintendo switch doesn’t have this update yet.
I used to play vanilla skater XL a shit ton on console and make clips for hours. Is it more worthwhile to do that on session I’m buying it if so

No, online open lobby freeskate multiplayer will not be in session. Creā-ture is looking into a different way for players to connect online

Because they created their own controls for a completely different experience. Games are different from each other, they don’t all have to control the same.. if they did there would be no progression in gaming. You gotta take the time to learn the controls for the game you want to play

Enjoi skateboards isn’t a company anymore so they probably took it out of the game

youre still in the tutorial. either finish the tutorial steps (RECOMMENDED) or skip tutorial (not recommended)

how you can play session with ps4 controller?
If your on Steam, just enable PlayStation support in Steam Setting>Controller.
If you’re on Epic, you have to download DS4 Windows program and have that open

FFS, just give us flikit skate controls back !! I like the session controls, they are challenging for street and fun, but it leaves half the game UNPLAYABLE, if I could switch to SKATE controls and get footage in pipes and bowls I would be STOKED!!
