I think they have a lot off stuff they could add like challenges for the D7 Blocks spot. I’ve been begging for this since the game became available. I know I’m not the only one who used to try to make these spots in the park builder in skate 3. This is a breath of fresh air and I’ve been spending hours re creating my favorite skate videos. Thanks so much to you and everyone who makes this stuff possible. It really is the best map. I almost cried when it spawned me in front of the 16. I did the Koston on the Belmont 9, kickflip up the 3, manny to front board on the handrail ❤
Starting to feel like folks complaining about paid dlc don’t actually know how making games work… especially in an incredibly complex physics based system like session… Add or change one thing, the entire system breaks… fix that, new problems… and all of this takes time and man power… which costs money… Stoked to see what UE5 brings to this game

No, the problem is that they sell you a 40$ game when it is everything but finished. It's full of bugs and there are no animations. They should focus on finishing and polishing the game over that make me pay for dlc content which have the same bugs.

Lookin forward to this one. My only thing is why don’t they add more customizations to the character like more hairstyles, accessories, tattoos, etc. we got plenty of clothing and decks and even maps for that matter. Be nice to get some better character customizations

I wish there was blood or more wear and tear on the body or clothes and shoes. And when your board breaks you should have backup decks in a "backpack" so that you dont have to go the apartment or skate shop.
I'll continue to buy and support the devs but I am am excited and waiting for real upgrades such as mocap animations and controller input lag. Great video! Love your content 🖤
Just gonna put something similar to my original comment here since the video was reuploaded: I'm glad this is a map of realistic spots and not another abandoned something or other. It's the first DLC I'm somewhat interested in. I hope the transition to UE5 comes with a lot of the fixes and changes we've been asking for from before release. things like fixing the bounce glitch for real this time, fixing the weird acceleration on the last keyframe of a clip in the replay editor, fixing session marker respawns so i don't occasionally bail on respawn in a way that freaks the physics out and tanks my framerate, new animations, Vert skating, better looking female character model, etc etc. I didn't make this long list of problems out of malice towards the game or the Crea-Ture team, i made this list because i know these are things the team is capable of doing given enough time and money.
The Leap of Faith is so awesome, but I had to lower board breaking like a quarter away from the left otherwise the impact broke my board almost everytime (i don’t have high impact setting on either)
Man the board breaking has been a joke for months I finally just shut it off. Even with the multiplier turned all the way down I was breaking brand new boards EVERYWHERE yet the stupid blanks seem to break 100 times less. This game needs a lot of work.

Jesse, love the map! Tell the boys they really earned their money with this one! hahaa! Anywho, I'm not sure if this is a bug or what, but wanted to bring it to someone's attention. It's hard to explain, but I will try here. It's an issue with Nose/Tail slides and trying to pop out of them. Let's look at the joysticks as a clock, it'll help me explain. So, you're skating regular, your coming up to a ledge and you hit a FS Noseslide. If you dip the grinding stick below the 3 (Again, view the stick like a clock), and I mean the SLIGHTEST bit below the 3, you can NOT pop out without resetting the input. Same for backside and the 9 on a clock. Trick Relative Input and Casual Grind Mode are OFF. Is this supposed to happen? If not, should I report it somewhere or is it all good just letting you know? But man I want those 5 free updates! Can’t even remember what they do anymore lol I know the first one had board breaking which I really want, and the second or third had flip control which is so fun on my brothers PS version. Hope at least the first 3 updates and the 3 DLC’s come to Nintendo this year 🤞🏼
Hope to see more maps getting released quicker, the wait between maps is wild. But I hope the pace can increase since upgrading to UE5 will likely take you all years, sadly.
no gameplay changes were made in this update. you need to remember to change the inputs to Switch inputs after 180. so for regular, youll do: 180 then left stick down, right stick up or slightly angled.
Imma be honest i love this game and love the new maps (even if they're pay to play) but the one thing that annoys me the most is looking back a teaser trailers from 2018 and seeing things that should be in the game now...like the original start screen with the skater sat on his board,or roll over pain bail animations,and lots of over stuff too like i said before this game could take years,and another 40 updates to be perfect i dont mind the wait aslong as it doesnt get abandoned....💯👍🏼
They went to the trouble of adding a roll in to the DLC but didn't bother to make Wallenburg??? And Malto didn't 50 Echo Park... He Back Overcrooked it!
Definitely need to make another map that has Wallenberg, Staples Center, Clipper, Rincon, and that hubba that Corey Duffel skates that the Dern bros covered. Maybe the triple set Rowley skates. Also, maybe a a free Tampa am/pro park that updates per contest.
Hello, I have bought the DLC schoolyard map awhile ago on steam but I'm having a problem when i opened the game I cant find the Schoolyard map on the "select map" menu. The session game on steam didn't also notify me to update the game after I purchased it. It also says that "This content requires the base game Session: Skate Sim on Steam in order to play." Help please :(
- Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling Session on steam? - on the Map Select page, did you push Left or Right on the D-Pad to get to the Extra Network page?
I JUST NOTICED THE GIANT BLUE POLE RIGHT NEXT TO THE CARLSBAD GAPS RAIL/STAIRS. PLEASE CONSIDER REMOVING THAT ONE CORNER POLE, IT TOTALLY RUINS THE WHOLE POINT OF FEATURING THAT SPOT. If you have a completely unmodded game (never used Cheats Mod or anything) but you have an AMD system, here’s the fix: Right click Session on Steam then select Properties. Under Launch Options, type in: -d3d11 Launch session
You can still try that, but the issue would be a mod is causing an issue. If using Cheats Mod, go to Content>Blueprints and delete it. It’s possible you may have to also delete your save file from: %localappdata%\sessionGame
Sorry if it's been mentioned before. But is there going to be a fix for the grinds/slides distance being reset? I went to my apartment and changed my hat only to find out my grind distance reset
Unfortunately no fix for this, sorry. We aren’t even sure what’s causing the issue cause it can’t be reproduced at the studio even after following steps provided by those that get the issue. What platform are you playing on? Do you happen to remember roughly how far your grind distance was prior to losing progress?
Thanks for the reply! I'm on ps5 and I was roughly around 22km. I noticed the "many plys later" trophy was stuck at 52% for a long time and that's when I realized my distance had been reset

If you’re looking to get A Lot of DIY objects with a DLC, the Mall dlc is what you should go for first. If you want one of the best maps for session (imo) that features a bunch of famous skate spots and comes with a little bit of extra DIY objects, then go for the school.
I wish theyd just buckle down on the engine migration so we can have some gameplay updates. Ive followed session since the kickstarter and really had hope to see this game go far, and it has to an extent, but people are gonna get bored of constant dlc maps and nothing else. It could take more than a year/years to migrate to ue5, get on it. Edit: im not bashing the game, i love session and im happy to support the team. I just question theyre decisions

Nah, I found out the official name first and when I realized that we weren’t really going to mention what “LHS” stood for, figured there wasn’t much point in suggesting a better name. So that’s why I mention what the official name was and what I plan on calling it from now on. My original name pitch before LHS was even placed anywhere in the map was Mongo High 😂
Update didn’t change anything graphics performance wise. Does the lag happen usually when you grind or slide only? Are you set to Graphics mode in video settings? Do you have city life turned off?
Yeah that’s the issue, too many unfinished missions. If you do not plan to finish the missions, just create a second custom skater. That skater will still have all money, inventory but not have any missions started
I have a question and session wont answer. I have manual catch on, but for slides and grinds i dont have to catch just do the input instantly after i did the trick and it works. Tried to change it to full release but its the same. I dont know if its a bug or this is how it should be. I think its strange that i dont have to catch while i have manual catch on.
That is intended, the catch input is the input for your next trick. If you’re just doing a flip trick on flat or over something without landing in grind or slide after, you can catch with back foot up or front foot down (any flick input will catch actually, but if you have late tricks on, best to catch with back foot up or front foot down). With No Release on, an auto catch happens if you never release the sticks after flicking in order to prepare for the grind or slide. This can cause issues when trying 360 flip variations, so always make sure you release sticks after flicking for those.
@@JLNightmare im saying if i do a kickflip smith perhaps, i do the kickflip input and then instantly the grind input and it does it automatically like it wasnt on manual catch. Of course i can wait for the board to be in position for a succesful catch and do the grind/slide input then, but i dont have to. Sorry to bother you with it further. My english is rusty af so i might have misunderstood your reply. ❤
@leventeszaffenauer4142 yes, that’s what I was saying happens when you have No Release on. Instantly doing the grind input after flicking will cause an auto catch to happen, even if you have manual catch enabled

On full release, the grind input will be the catch input. You don’t need to flip, catch input then grind input. Just flip + Grind input will catch the board

It’s meant to be a mix of both new and old. These spots aren’t supposed to be 1:1 recreations, just heavily based on the real location.

you need to remember to change the inputs to Switch inputs after 180.
so for regular, youll do: 180 then left stick down, right stick up or slightly angled.

Hubba hideout is already in Session. It’s located in the base map of SFC
it would be funny if for april 1st, they skate stopped a few spots here and there

Imma be honest i love this game and love the new maps (even if they're pay to play) but the one thing that annoys me the most is looking back a teaser trailers from 2018 and seeing things that should be in the game now...like the original start screen with the skater sat on his board,or roll over pain bail animations,and lots of over stuff too like i said before this game could take years,and another 40 updates to be perfect i dont mind the wait aslong as it doesnt get abandoned....💯👍🏼

Definitely need to make another map that has Wallenberg, Staples Center, Clipper, Rincon, and that hubba that Corey Duffel skates that the Dern bros covered. Maybe the triple set Rowley skates. Also, maybe a a free Tampa am/pro park that updates per contest.
Hello, I have bought the DLC schoolyard map awhile ago on steam but I'm having a problem when i opened the game I cant find the Schoolyard map on the "select map" menu. The session game on steam didn't also notify me to update the game after I purchased it. It also says that "This content requires the base game Session: Skate Sim on Steam in order to play." Help please :(
- Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling Session on steam?
- on the Map Select page, did you push Left or Right on the D-Pad to get to the Extra Network page?
I JUST NOTICED THE GIANT BLUE POLE RIGHT NEXT TO THE CARLSBAD GAPS RAIL/STAIRS. PLEASE CONSIDER REMOVING THAT ONE CORNER POLE, IT TOTALLY RUINS THE WHOLE POINT OF FEATURING THAT SPOT. OTHERWISE IM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE MAP AND SIM. i own it on ps5 and (the criminally underrated version on) switch. hd rumble while grinding would be good too.

If you have a completely unmodded game (never used Cheats Mod or anything) but you have an AMD system, here’s the fix:
Right click Session on Steam then select Properties. Under Launch Options, type in:
-d3d11
Launch session

You can still try that, but the issue would be a mod is causing an issue. If using Cheats Mod, go to Content>Blueprints and delete it.
It’s possible you may have to also delete your save file from:

Sorry if it's been mentioned before. But is there going to be a fix for the grinds/slides distance being reset? I went to my apartment and changed my hat only to find out my grind distance reset
Unfortunately no fix for this, sorry. We aren’t even sure what’s causing the issue cause it can’t be reproduced at the studio even after following steps provided by those that get the issue.
What platform are you playing on?
Do you happen to remember roughly how far your grind distance was prior to losing progress?
Thanks for the reply! I'm on ps5 and I was roughly around 22km. I noticed the "many plys later" trophy was stuck at 52% for a long time and that's when I realized my distance had been reset

i’m having the problem where my game crashes after loading up my replay clips 3 times. is that getting fixed soon or am i the only one experiencing it
Still a known issue for everyone, has not been fixed yet. Just avoid loading multiple clips back to back for now

Would you recommend the school dlc or the mall dlc first?
If you’re looking to get A Lot of DIY objects with a DLC, the Mall dlc is what you should go for first. If you want one of the best maps for session (imo) that features a bunch of famous skate spots and comes with a little bit of extra DIY objects, then go for the school.
They are not making switch updates ppl so stop asking no it’s not worth buying for the switch either you’ll just be wasting y’all money

I wish theyd just buckle down on the engine migration so we can have some gameplay updates. Ive followed session since the kickstarter and really had hope to see this game go far, and it has to an extent, but people are gonna get bored of constant dlc maps and nothing else. It could take more than a year/years to migrate to ue5, get on it.
Edit: im not bashing the game, i love session and im happy to support the team. I just question theyre decisions

@JLNightmare okay thanks ill have a look but that's what I did after like the first 3 streams I did and double checked it to make sure it's on and it was tried to turn it on and off still didn't work so then I just turnd music off

Nah, I found out the official name first and when I realized that we weren’t really going to mention what “LHS” stood for, figured there wasn’t much point in suggesting a better name. So that’s why I mention what the official name was and what I plan on calling it from now on.

Yeah that’s the issue, too many unfinished missions. If you do not plan to finish the missions, just create a second custom skater. That skater will still have all money, inventory but not have any missions started

I have a question and session wont answer. I have manual catch on, but for slides and grinds i dont have to catch just do the input instantly after i did the trick and it works. Tried to change it to full release but its the same. I dont know if its a bug or this is how it should be. I think its strange that i dont have to catch while i have manual catch on.
That is intended, the catch input is the input for your next trick. If you’re just doing a flip trick on flat or over something without landing in grind or slide after, you can catch with back foot up or front foot down (any flick input will catch actually, but if you have late tricks on, best to catch with back foot up or front foot down).
With No Release on, an auto catch happens if you never release the sticks after flicking in order to prepare for the grind or slide.
This can cause issues when trying 360 flip variations, so always make sure you release sticks after flicking for those.
@@JLNightmare im saying if i do a kickflip smith perhaps, i do the kickflip input and then instantly the grind input and it does it automatically like it wasnt on manual catch. Of course i can wait for the board to be in position for a succesful catch and do the grind/slide input then, but i dont have to. Sorry to bother you with it further. My english is rusty af so i might have misunderstood your reply. ❤
@leventeszaffenauer4142 yes, that’s what I was saying happens when you have No Release on. Instantly doing the grind input after flicking will cause an auto catch to happen, even if you have manual catch enabled

On full release, the grind input will be the catch input. You don’t need to flip, catch input then grind input. Just flip + Grind input will catch the board

But given the state of development, how things been going since 1.0 and your affiliation with crea-ture a title like that makes you sound like a sales rep.
