Loved this show. Especially season 1.
Great show, Roth is at his best here. No one could be Lightman like Tim.
Subtle detail at the end when Lightman hears three different types of lies.
Lie about meeting your partner's parents, gets a pass.
LIe about being happy about a promotion, gets a pass.
Lie to a mistress who clearly is not capable of looking through it, hell no!

pity this is just a rehash of the mentalist ... wish they would come up with original shows ... instead of remaking older shows badly
It was loosely based on Paul Ekman who studied facial expressions. I haven't seen the Mentalist but I really liked a few characters in Lie to Me and there are some very touching moments.
I love both shows but this is pretty different from the mentalist
@@hectornonayurbusiness2631 iit is the exact same premise ... a guy uses his over hyped intelligence to solve crimes or problems ... both shows in a nutshell ... not even an original idea ... banacek was similar and he was just an insurance guy who found things ... and how they were stolen ...
@@kaboom-zf2bl If you are generalizing it that much you're basically describing every cop show there is. If you had actually watched enough of either of those shows you'd know how different they are

Also, this show is amazing and Aqualung is fantastic.
