    I've used the skin of a chipmunk to enhance the connection, as well as feathers and antlers (chips), awesome job Killdeer!

    Scored an ornery Mohave sidewinder with a sling shot that kept rattling at us in camp and wouldn't git. Now he is got...and soon to be on my hat.

      I ran out of memory space on my phone to see all of the glueing. Had to get it wraped before it dried. But I think I explained it verily well. Send me at text and I'll tell ya more of were I'm at.

    That had to be quite a challenge with recording and gluing and switching from one place to another. (outdoors to indoors) Too bad about the space running out. Still pretty damn awesome! Must feel good knowing that you made it and not bought it. Two thumbs up! 👍👍 Not bad for and ole hillbilly.

      @@fouledanchorfarm1192 yeah didn’t get to make one out of a red bellied black, but I made one out of a blue tongue lizard that I hit with the car (oops) and it turned out great, would definitely recommend

    Is there anything you could put on the snakeskins to give them a shine or is it better to leave them natural? Something to bring out the color would make them even prettier.

      I'm just getting into this snake skin stuff and from what little I do know, I think he's using salt to make kind of a rawhide out of the skin.
      I got a couple of real big copperheads and soaked them in a 50/50 mixture of glycerin (walmart) and 70% isopropyl alcohol for a week, shaking it up vigorously every day.
      At the end of a week, take it out, scrape any remaining mixture back into the jar and any remaining meat (usually on the belly) off the skin. You can reuse that mixture. Then stretch them tightly in some paper towels wrapped around a large diameter dowel for 2 days.
      The colors on my two skins is pretty close to real, much more so than the salt method, IMHO.

      You may want to hit with a clear coat on it after it dries good

      The snake skin I have is dry and brittle, is there any way I can get to be as smooth and slick as yours, i was thinking Vaseline but I don't want to tale the chance of ruining it. Any tips would help

      I'm sure there more videos out there that can help you with that. Because I really Google how to do what I got. 😊 I had a ideal what I wanted and surched for it. I know there's some kind of chemical you could put on it but idk what it is. Google it bro.

      I used cheap contact glue from Dollar General....Crafters Closet spray adhesive. 👍 sorry it took so long to reply.
