I thought you would like it. I could see it in my head when you first showed to me on your channel. I just thank God for the opportunity to be able to get it to come out just right.✌😎 Thanks again for the snake skin. God bless you brother and S.A.D.D.😁
This looks amazing my friend and yep I have gone through and sharpened them all and all ready to take out. Love the band it turned out great my friend.
HAHAHAHA! That is 10 oz. saddle leather I'm using. Now you know how sharp my knives are. 😁👍 Thanks for watching my friend and God bless you brother. ✌😎
I ran out of memory space on my phone to see all of the glueing. Had to get it wraped before it dried. But I think I explained it verily well. Send me at text and I'll tell ya more of were I'm at.
Thanks, like if you couldn't tell I went off your video to make mine. I couldn't find any rings for the adjustment. So I made do. Thanks for sharing your video and I truly bless to one of your friends. God bless you.😊👍
That had to be quite a challenge with recording and gluing and switching from one place to another. (outdoors to indoors) Too bad about the space running out. Still pretty damn awesome! Must feel good knowing that you made it and not bought it. Two thumbs up! 👍👍 Not bad for and ole hillbilly.
@@fouledanchorfarm1192 yeah didn’t get to make one out of a red bellied black, but I made one out of a blue tongue lizard that I hit with the car (oops) and it turned out great, would definitely recommend God bless
Is there anything you could put on the snakeskins to give them a shine or is it better to leave them natural? Something to bring out the color would make them even prettier.
I'm just getting into this snake skin stuff and from what little I do know, I think he's using salt to make kind of a rawhide out of the skin. I got a couple of real big copperheads and soaked them in a 50/50 mixture of glycerin (walmart) and 70% isopropyl alcohol for a week, shaking it up vigorously every day. At the end of a week, take it out, scrape any remaining mixture back into the jar and any remaining meat (usually on the belly) off the skin. You can reuse that mixture. Then stretch them tightly in some paper towels wrapped around a large diameter dowel for 2 days. The colors on my two skins is pretty close to real, much more so than the salt method, IMHO.
Yep it does just a little. 🤔 But there's still rattlers out there you can make belts out of them. I got one that 5' 6" long. Have a great day and God bless you brother. 😎👍🙏🙏🙏
The snake skin I have is dry and brittle, is there any way I can get to be as smooth and slick as yours, i was thinking Vaseline but I don't want to tale the chance of ruining it. Any tips would help
I'm sure there more videos out there that can help you with that. Because I really Google how to do what I got. 😊 I had a ideal what I wanted and surched for it. I know there's some kind of chemical you could put on it but idk what it is. Google it bro.
Hey, i hope u'll remember me, i hope we can have eachother's bell again, but apperantly u don't have my bell anymore, witch i totally understand, goodbye then. Great video, gave u a like.
I am so making me one of these. Snake hunting time!

My rattler skin is soaking in glycerin and alcohol right now. I can't wait to make my first one. Thanks for the video.
That's sweet mate. The beads are a nice touch.
Thanks bro. They were faster than making a deer button. I think the blue helps it POP. ✌😎 God bless you my friend.
Scored an ornery Mohave sidewinder with a sling shot that kept rattling at us in camp and wouldn't git. Now he is got...and soon to be on my hat.
Sweet. It's really not that hard to make. Good luck my friend. ✌😎

Nice job and very cool!
Thanks!😊👍 I was just playing it out. This is my first one I've done.😁
Well from what can see, you nailed it.
That band came out awesome. All you need now is a Turkey feather to tuck in the band. Well done.👍
Cool thanks for watching. I don't think I would us a Turkey feather. I would consider a eagle feather...🤔
Killdeer Survival I thought about the eagle feather first but thought that might be kinda tough to get ahold of.
@@bucktalesoutdoors7566 Yep. it's illegal to have one unless your a native American
Very nice bro.thanks for sharing.

What kind of glue is that? Just snagged a Great Basin rattler from the property.
It was just contact cement that I got at Dollar General. Good luck and God bless.✌😎
Nice work! I need to find me some snakes.....
What kind of glue? Looks very sticky.
Thank you for your knowledge, I'm gonna make one for a derby hat
You may want to hit with a clear coat on it after it dries good

Is there a specific spray adhesive you use?
Could I use an old leather belt? I don't have pieces that big.
Hell yeah, that would work greart. I've used a old leather jacket and shoes to get pieces of leather. ✌😎
Can I do this with any other snake skins
Yes ,you should be able to do it most anytime.
Very nice.👍
Thanks fun checking it out. I think it came out AWESOME. ✌😎
Nice!
